APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PARTICLE DEPOSITION DISTRIBUTION ESTIMATION
A method collects radar signals reflected from particles distributed by an emission device. A three-dimensional range-angle-velocity cube is formed from the radar signals. The three-dimensional range-angle-velocity cube includes individual bins with radar intensity values characterizing angle and range for a specific velocity. The three-dimensional range-angle-velocity cube is analyzed to identify a ground plane and radar signals reflected from particles immediately proximate to the ground plane. Total particle deposition distribution is predicted.
CROP HARVESTING SYSTEM
An crop harvesting system includes a moving apparatus configured to be movable in a harvesting operation area that is an area in which a harvesting operation takes place; a harvesting apparatus mounted on the moving apparatus and harvest a harvesting object by making contact with a crop, the crop being a harvesting object; a disinfecting apparatus having a function of disinfecting at least a disinfection target part of the harvesting apparatus, which is being brought into contact with the harvesting object; a disinfection necessity judgment processing portion configured to perform a disinfection necessity judgment process of judging whether disinfection to the disinfection target part is necessary; a disinfecting operation processing portion configured to, when it is judged in the disinfection necessity judgment process that the disinfection is necessary, perform a disinfecting operation of disinfecting the disinfection target part by driving at least one of the harvesting apparatus and the disinfecting apparatus.
SPRAYER SYSTEM
A spraying system including a boom having a first end, a middle, and a second end; a plurality of nozzles disposed on the boom; a plurality of cameras (70) disposed on the boom and positioned to each view a subset of the plurality of nozzles; a plurality of lights disposed on the boom and positioned to each illuminate a subset of the plurality of nozzles.
SHOWER HEAD AND METHOD OF OPERATION TO PRODUCE A SUSPENSION OF WATER DROPLETS IN AIR
A shower head is supplied with an annular airflow which surrounds a column of water travelling through a chamber to produce a suspension of water droplets in air, the diameter and length of the chamber and the diameter of the water column are selected in combination with the fluid flow parameters to operate the shower within a defined parameter space corresponding to the non-axisymmetric Rayleigh breakup regime, where the water column remains intact and spaced apart from the chamber wall for the entire length Lc of the chamber, where the airflow perturbs the water column within the chamber causing it to disintegrate into droplets downstream of the chamber outlet, and where multiple chambers are moulded on non-parallel axes with elastomeric linings facilitating withdrawal of the mould tool.
IMPROVED FLUID DISPENSING PROCESS CONTROL USING MACHINE LEARNING AND SYSTEM IMPLEMENTING THE SAME
Systems and methods for improved fluid dispensing process control using a machine learning tool are disclosed. In an example method, successive portions of viscous fluid are dispensed by a dispensing device according to operating parameters to train a machine learning tool to associate defect classifications with images of dispensed portions and/or operating parameters associated with dispensing the dispensed portions. The trained machine learning tool is then used in a closed loop fashion in production to detect and correct for defects associated with the dispensed portions to improve quality and production efficiency.
METHOD FOR ANALYSING A SPRAY GENERATED BY A DEVICE FOR DISPENSING FLUID PHARMACEUTICAL PRODUCT
A method of analyzing a spray generated by a spray device for spraying pharmaceutical fluid, including providing a spray head of a spray device for spraying pharmaceutical fluid, the spray head including a spray orifice; causing a test fluid to pass through the spray head towards the spray orifice, the test fluid being air at a temperature that is different from ambient temperature; displaying, by strioscopy, the flow of test fluid leaving the spray orifice; and analyzing the display of the test-fluid flow so as to determine whether or not the test-fluid spray coming from the spray head complies with predetermined specifications. The cycle time for analyzing one spray head is less than 1.5 seconds, advantageously less than 1 second.
MODIFIED FLUID JET PLUME CHARACTERISTICS
A fluid jet ejection device, a method of making a fluid jet ejection head for a fluid ejection device, and a method of improving the plume characteristics of fluid ejected from the fluid jet ejection head. The fluid jet ejection device includes a cartridge body; and a fluid jet ejection cartridge disposed in the cartridge body. The fluid jet ejection cartridge contains a fluid and an ejection head attached to the fluid jet ejection cartridge. The ejection head contains a plurality of fluid ejectors thereon and a nozzle plate having a plurality of fluid ejection nozzles therein associated with the plurality of fluid ejectors, wherein a first portion of the plurality of fluid ejection nozzles have a first axial flow path length and a second portion of the plurality of fluid ejection nozzles have a second axial flow path length greater than the first axial flow path length.
NETWORK-BASED SPRAY APPLICATION MONITORING AND MANAGEMENT
A networked spray application management arrangement is described herein. The spray application management arrangement includes a spray scan data server and a spray application. The spray scan application, in turn, includes: a spray nozzle monitoring apparatus that renders a process variable data indicative of a current status of a spray nozzle system; and a first network interface that sends a message comprising a data payload comprising information corresponding to the process variable data to the spray scan data server. The spray scan data server includes: a second network interface for receiving the message; a spray scan database for storing the information corresponding to the process variable data; and a spray scan data analysis engine.
Methods of improving accuracy and precision of droplet metering using an on-actuator reservoir as the fluid input
The present invention is directed to methods of improving accuracy of droplet metering using at least one on-actuator reservoir as the fluid input. In some embodiments, the on-actuator reservoir that is used for metering droplets includes a loading port, a liquid storage zone, a droplet metering zone, and a droplet dispensing zone. The on-actuator reservoirs are designed to prevent liquid flow-back into the loading port and to prevent liquid from flooding into the droplet operations gap in the dispensing zone.
