Flexible painting plants
A painting plant may include: at least one painting booth including a painting system configured to apply paint onto objects in the at least one painting booth; a magazine including cartridges containing the paint; and a system configured to automatically transport the cartridges from the magazine to feeding stations which feed the paint from the cartridges to the painting system in the at least one painting booth. In addition or in the alternative, a painting plant may include: at least one painting booth including a painting system configured to apply paint onto objects in the at least one painting booth; a magazine including cartridges containing cleaning liquid; and a system configured to automatically transport the cartridges containing the cleaning liquid from the magazine to feeding stations which feed the cleaning liquid from the cartridges containing the cleaning liquid to the painting system in the at least one painting booth.
Composition and methods for providing coatings; materials; application techniques; and, resulting coated substrates
Techniques and compositions for applying films to a variety of substrates, from water-borne coating compositions, are provided. The techniques involve providing desiccant and applying the desiccant with water-borne film-forming composition, in application to a substrate. The desiccant composition provides for take up of free water in of the film-forming composition, without total reliance on ambient conditions, to advantage. Compositions, methods, techniques and resulting constructions are described. The techniques can be applied in wet thick film applications, but are not limited to such applications.
Coating material storage bag orientation clip and coating material cartridge incorporating the same
A coating material cartridge includes an enclosure, a coating material storage bag received in the enclosure, and a coating material storage bag orientation clip secured within the enclosure. The clip engages a portion of the coating material storage bag to maintain the storage bag in a predetermined fixed orientation within the enclosure during filling of the coating material storage bag with coating material, and also during movement of the coating material cartridge.
COATING MATERIAL STORAGE BAG ORIENTATION CLIP AND COATING MATERIAL CARTRIDGE INCORPORATING THE SAME
A coating material cartridge includes an enclosure, a coating material storage bag received in the enclosure, and a coating material storage bag orientation clip secured within the enclosure. The clip engages a portion of the coating material storage bag to maintain the storage bag in a predetermined fixed orientation within the enclosure during filling of the coating material storage bag with coating material, and also during movement of the coating material cartridge.

A dispenser tool (42) is provided with multiple cartridges for dispensing viscous material onto the surface (5) of a wind turbine blade (5). The dispenser tool (42) is advantageously part of a robot system used to work the surface (5) of the blade (5). The system is configured for bringing the nozzle of a selected cartridge into the vicinity of the surface (5) and orienting the dispenser tool (42) relatively to the surface (5) such that the nozzle (46) of the corresponding selected cartridge (44) is at the surface (5) for providing viscous material onto the surface (5) from the selected cartridge (44) while moving the nozzle (46) along the surface (5).
PAINT REFILLING DEVICE FOR CARTRIDGE
The present application relates to a cartridge paint refilling device. More specifically the subject matter of the application relates to cleaning the paint adhered to the feed tube of the cartridge and prevent reduction of the painting quality and undesirable rotation caused by the paint residue. An annular flow path extending from a base end side towards a front end side in the insertion direction is disposed between the feed tube of the cartridge and the feed tube insertion hole of the cartridge supporting member. The cartridge supporting member is provided with a feed tube cleaning pipeline whose upstream side is connected with the circulation pipeline disposed at the cartridge supporting member and whose downstream side becomes a cleaning fluid discharge port and pens at the base end side of the annular flow path; and a pipeline witching valve which blocks communication between the circulation pipeline and the feed tube cleaning pipeline when the paint and the cleaning fluid are supplied to the paint chamber of the cartridge, and enables communication between the circulation pipeline and the feed tube cleaning pipeline when the cleaning fluid is supplied to the annular flow path.
Electrostatic coating device and electrostatic coating method
An electrostatic coating method in which a plurality of coating materials is respectively retained in a plurality of coating-material containers in a coating material cartridge, and the coating materials are changed by a valve at the time of sending of each of the coating materials, in an electrostatic coating device, each of the coating materials is sent from the coating material cartridge to a coating machine via a common path according to the change, and multilayer coating is performed by the electrostatic coating device.
METHOD FOR FILLING OF LACQUER
Method for filling of lacquer, including the steps: A) providing a lacquer container containing lacquer and an opening valve; B) providing a scale and a target container positioned on the scale; C) taring the scale; D) specifying a target weight and a target flow velocity; E) specifying a first valve position x.sub.1; F) starting to fill the target container with lacquer by setting the opening valve to position x.sub.1; G) calculating a lacquer flow velocity; H) comparing the lacquer flow velocity with the target flow velocity; J) adjusting the lacquer flow velocity by setting to a valve position x.sub.2=x.sub.1+x.sub.1 if the lacquer flow velocity does not correspond to the target flow velocity; K) calculating a lacquer filling weight; L) comparing the lacquer filling weight with the target weight; and M) closing the opening valve when the lacquer filling weight corresponds to the target weight.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING COATING OPERATIONS
A coating system operations vehicle. Related methods are provided for filling a tank and operating coating equipment on a vehicle. The methods include pumping coating from containers into a tank on the vehicle and dispensing the coating for application on a surface. A method also includes removing residual coating from the containers after pumping out coating and adding the residual coating material to the tank. If the level of coating is at the desired level in the tank, a layer of water may be formed over the coating in the tank.
