A method of actuating a double-action pump assembly with a reciprocating plunger includes signaling the reciprocating plunger to stop for a changeover period; while the pump is stopping, signaling the first inlet and outlet valves to close; while the first inlet and outlet valves are closing, signaling the second inlet and outlet valves to open, such that the second inlet and outlet valves begin to mechanically open at least a dwell period after the first inlet and outlet valves have entirely closed; and signaling the reciprocating plunger to begin moving while the second inlet and outlet valves are closing.

A coating device for applying coating material onto an object in an electrostatically guided manner, and a method of providing coating material for the same, the coating device having an application device for dispensing coating material, a storage container for coating material, a coating material supply line which is connected to the storage container for supplying coating material to the storage container, and a coating line which connects the storage container to the application device. The application device and the coating line are designed to be under high voltage during a coating process. The coating device has a rinsing container for a rinsing liquid, a rinsing liquid supply line connected to the rinsing container for supplying rinsing liquid to the rinsing container, and a rinsing line which connects the rinsing container to the application device. The rinsing container and the rinsing line are designed to be under high voltage during a coating process.

A spray system includes a fluid source, a sprayer, a pump cylinder, a plunger, a pump motor, first and second inlet and outlet valves, a plurality of valve seals, a seal lubricant reservoir, and gravity fed seal lubricant lines. The pump cylinder is disposed fluidly between the fluid source and the sprayer. The plunger is situated within the pump cylinder and positioned by a displacement rod. The pump motor is configured to drive the displacement rod so as to reciprocate the plunger within the pump cylinder. The valve seals are disposed about the each of the first and second inlet and outlet valves. The lubricant seal lines carry seal lubricant from the reservoir to each of the valve seals.

A device for supplying a sprayer with a liquid coating comprises a one valve having a moving needle, a valve body defining a circulation volume for the coating and a seat for supporting the needle. A pneumatic drive for translating the needle along an axis away from or towards the seat comprises a piston constrained to move with the needle and sliding within a guide body. A head and the guide body define a variable volume chamber. The head is constrained to rotate with the volume via slots on the head and corresponding protruding elements on the guide body. The guide body is screwed onto the valve body along the axis. The head includes driving reliefs for rotation of the head around the axis for screwing onto the valve body. A tool for mounting/dismounting the device comprises a maneuvering handle and an end-piece having reliefs complementary to the driving reliefs.

Systems and apparatuses include a prime mover, a pump driven by the prime mover, and a sprayer receiving a flow of water from the pump. The sprayer includes a sprayer housing, a first fluid reservoir coupled to the sprayer housing, a second fluid reservoir coupled to the sprayer housing, a chemical selector coupled to the sprayer housing and movable between a first chemical position and a second chemical position, a high pressure selector coupled to the sprayer housing and movable between a high pressure position and a chemical spray position, and a nozzle assembly in communication with the chemical selector and the high pressure selector.

A color changer has a common feed passage that is connected to two or more inlet passages. The common feed passage can be reverse purged in a direction that is opposite a direction of powder flow through the common feed passage. A valve element seals a supply port that connects the inlet passage to the common feed passage to eliminate dead space and form a near bore line seal. The valve element is an elastic material that expands in response to applied compressed air inside the valve element.

A coating system applicator component, e.g. a valve or bell cup, which may be used to be wetted and/or flown through at least in some sections by a coating agent, is provided. The applicator component includes a cylindrical holding part configured to releasably couple a mount of the coating system, as well as an applicator thread on the holding part. The applicator thread includes first and second applicator flank surfaces each obliquely oriented to a radial direction of the holding part, the first and second applicator flank surfaces being asymmetric about the radial direction of the holding part. The first and second applicator flank surfaces are configured to be parallel to and interface with first and second mount flank surfaces of a thread of the mount, respectively, upon a coaxial, threaded engagement between the holding part and the mount.

A device for supplying at least one sprayer with a liquid coating product comprises at least one valve for controlling the flow of the coating product to the sprayer. The valve comprises a moveable needle, a valve body which defines a circulation volume of the coating product and a seat for supporting the needle in the closed configuration of the valve. A pneumatic driver drives the pointer in translation along an axis away from or towards the seat. The pneumatic driver comprises a piston constrained to move in translation with the needle and mounted slidably in a guide body. The pneumatic driver also comprises an end-piece penetrating into a transfer chamber. The communication line links the end-piece or the transfer chamber with a variable-volume chamber defined by the guide body and a first face of the piston.

A changing device for media, in particular for varnishes, having multiple connections, each of which can be connected to a reservoir for a medium. At least one docking unit is provided, having a coupling connection which is complementary to the connections and can be connected to a supply line for an applicator of a coating system. The docking unit can be moved relative to the connections by means of a positioning device. A delivery pressure device is provided, by means of which the delivery pressure, with which a medium is fed into the supply line, can be adjusted and/or supported, and/or by means of which the return pressure, with which a medium is returned from the supply line into the reservoir, can be adjusted and/or supported. A coating system with a changing device of this type is also provided.
