Viscous material application apparatus
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a viscous material application apparatus capable of reliably applying an appropriate amount of a viscous material to a shaft-shaped member. A seal application apparatus (1) is provided with a flexible tubular nozzle (2), which is capable of discharging a sealing agent from an opening (6) formed on the tip thereof, and an actuator (3) for moving the nozzle (2). After or during discharge of the sealing agent by the nozzle (2), the tip of the nozzle (2) moves in the circumferential direction along the outer circumferential surface of a fastener (20), and as the nozzle (2) is stopping the discharge of the sealing agent, the tip of the nozzle (2) moves in a direction away from the outer circumferential surface of the fastener (20).

Thermal transfer printing
Method and system for thermal transfer printing are disclosed. The system includes a transfer member having an imaging surface on the front side, a coating station at which a monolayer of particles made of, or coated with, a thermoplastic polymer is applied to the imaging surface, an imaging station at which electromagnetic radiation (EM) is applied via the rear side of the transfer member to selected regions of the particles-coated imaging surface to render the particles thereon tacky within the selected regions, and a transfer station at which only the regions of the particles coating that have been rendered tacky are transferred to a substrate. The transfer member includes on its rear side a body transparent to EM radiation and on its front side an EM radiation absorbing layer, the imaging surface being formed on, or as part of, the absorbing layer.
SECONDARY COOLING APPARATUS IN A MACHINE FOR CONTINUOUS CASTING OF METAL PRODUCTS
Secondary cooling apparatus in a machine for continuous casting of metal products, such that each metal product is cast, contained and guided along an axis of movement. The secondary cooling apparatus includes a plurality of cooling assemblies disposed in sequence one to the other along the continuous casting machine. Each assembly includes a plurality of cooling units each provided with one or more nozzles disposed along the axis of movement. The cooling units of each assembly are adjacent to each other to cover a width at least equal to the maximum width of the metal product which can be cast in the continuous casting machine.

SPRAY COATING DEVICE AND SPRAY COATING METHOD
An object is to provide a spray coating device and a coating method, with which a uniform coating film can be formed by spray coating with two liquids having reactivity, and in which precipitation of a reaction product on a periphery can also be prevented. The object is achieved by providing a transporting unit for transporting a substrate downward; a first spray nozzle; a second spray nozzle disposed below the first spray nozzle; a holding plate for holding the first spray nozzle and the second spray nozzle such that an angle formed by center lines of the first spray nozzle and the second spray nozzle is 5° to 150°; and a liquid film forming unit for forming a liquid film which flows from above to below on a surface of the holding plate.
EDGE CONTACT SUBSTRATE TRANSPORT METHOD AND APPARATUS
A web path for conveying a web material includes at least two support rollers contacting a single major surface of the web material, wherein the web material is of indefinite length and has a first and a second edge. A first support roller contacts a first edge region of the web material, and a second support roller contacts a second edge region of the web material such that the web material has a substantial un-contacted region between the first and the second support roller including at least about 50% of the width of the web material. At least one of the first support roller and the second support roller are supported on a bowed shaft such that at least one of the first and second support rollers is angled with respect to the direction of motion of the web.

The invention relates to a device for forming coatings on surfaces of a component, band-shaped material, or tool, in which at least one wire-shaped or band-shaped material (2.1 and/or 2.2) is used for forming the coating and that is/are connected to a direct electrical current source, wherein an electric arc is formed between wire-shaped materials (2.1 and 2.2) or between one wire-shaped or band-shaped material and one anode or cathode, wherein wire-shaped or band-shaped material (2.1 and/or 2.2) may be fed by means of a feed device; and melted and/or evaporated material of the wire-shaped or band-shaped material (2.1 and/or 2.2) flows, by means of a gas jet (3) of a gas or gas mixture, through an inlet into the interior of a chamber (4) that can be heated to a temperature that is at least equal to the evaporation temperature of the at least one material used for the coating or of the material with the highest evaporation temperature, and the material(s) completely evaporates and exits through at least one opening (5) present on the chamber (4) and impinges on the surface to be coated of the component or tool (6) for forming the coating.
FREE STALL SYSTEM AND FREE STALL DIVIDER HAVING FIBERGLASS PORTION
Free stall systems having free stall units arranged in a substantially parallel relationship having coated rail members. The coated rail members comprising an elongated fiberglass material manufactured by grinding a starting fiberglass material prior to a coating being applied. The starting fiberglass material can be reclaimed and reused from other industries such that the fiberglass material may be cut to remove unwanted metal end portions and/or cut to a desired size prior to the grinding and coating steps. The coated fiberglass material can be coated with a UV-resistant material or other coating to maintain the longevity of the fiberglass member during its use. The coated fiberglass apparatus may be utilized in free stall systems, gates, fencing materials and other applications where a solid fiberglass rod or hollow fiberglass tube having a desired coating is desired.
