The present invention provides a method of using plant material to simultaneously control weeds and plant target plants, including the following steps: covering the carrier with plant material with a thickness of 0.1˜12 cm to form a plant material layer, controlling the water content of the plant material during the covering period, immediately before planting and after planting, planting the target plant on the surface of the plant material layer or in the plant material layer. The subject method could make full use of plant resources, control weeds when they are the most vulnerable, and produce a synergistic effect of different planting methods for different target plants. At the same time, the method achieves low cost and ensures the survival rate of planting target plants.

The invention refers to a tying system employing an accessory bearing a quick attachment hook, for tying a plastic cover film for agricultural crops such as soft fruit covers. Cultivation of soft fruits in covered space has been growing in recent decades. Several solutions have been developed including greenhouses or gable systems. The placement, fastening and fixing of the plastic film is achieved with ropes, elastic cords or soft PVC tubing. However, the cost of binding the plastic film is significant as skilled staff and considerable amounts of man hours are required to tie the plastic film to the supporting structure. Tying the film, in most cases, is carried out by employing knots on grommets that the plastic films.

Tree and/or agricultural sapling protector

A sapling protector having a truncated cone-shaped metal tube formed from a flexible electrolytic tinplate and/or electrolytic chromium coated steel metal sheet is provided. The sapling protector also includes at least one fastener and is perforated with a plurality of holes. Comonomers may also be added. Such comonomers include chemicals with a single carboxylic acid, hydroxy, or amine moiety, which act as chain terminators, chemicals with three or more carboxylic acid, epoxy, and/or hydroxy moieties which, act as branching agents.
