Melting system including flow guide members
A melting unit melts a solid material into a molten material. The melt unit includes a reservoir, a hopper, and a melt grid disposed between the hopper and the reservoir. The melt grid heats the solid material into the molten material such that the molten material flows from the hopper to the reservoir. The melt unit includes a plurality of guide members, where the molten material flows through plurality of flow channels defined by the melt grid and along the plurality of guide members as the molten material flows from the hopper to the reservoir.
Hotmelt application system and process
System and process that continuously circulates hotmelt adhesive at a circulating pressure rate to apply hotmelt adhesive to a moving substrate on a substrate delivery conveyor. The system includes an adhesive delivery line connected to an elongated manifold, the manifold including: (i) a main internal fluid pathway in fluid communication with the adhesive delivery line and an adhesive return line, and (ii) an elongated heater providing a substantially constant internal temperature to the elongated manifold. An adhesive pump transporting hotmelt adhesive from the adhesive reservoir to the adhesive delivery line under pressure, the adhesive reservoir including a filter that filters hotmelt adhesive. A plurality of hotmelt spray heads in fluid communication with the main internal fluid pathway to dispense hotmelt adhesive onto the moving substrate. The adhesive return line in fluid communication with the adhesive pump and/or the adhesive reservoir to transport hotmelt adhesive from the elongated manifold.
LIQUID TREATMENT APPARATUS AND METHOD OF ADJUSTING TEMPERATURE OF TREATMENT LIQUID
A liquid treatment apparatus includes: a substrate holder for holding a substrate; a discharge nozzle for discharging a treatment liquid onto the substrate; a liquid supply pipe for supplying the treatment liquid from a treatment liquid storage source to the discharge nozzle; a gas pipe that encompasses the liquid supply pipe and through which an inert gas for adjusting the temperature of the treatment liquid flows in a space between the gas pipe and the liquid supply pipe; a processing container in which the substrate holder, the discharge nozzle, the liquid supply pipe, and the gas pipe are provided; and an atmosphere gas supply part for supplying an atmosphere gas into the processing container. The gas pipe is provided so that an extension portion between an upstream end inside the processing container and an encompassing portion is folded back inside the processing container in a plan view.
MELT SYSTEM INCLUDING A MELT UNIT WITH A SIDE-LOADING HOPPER
A melt system that includes a melt unit. The melt unit includes a reservoir and a melter. The melter is configured to expose solid adhesive to a temperature sufficient to form a molten adhesive, which is deposited into the reservoir. The melt unit includes a hopper disposed above the melter and for holding a supply of the solid adhesive. The hopper has an access door disposed on a wall of the hopper that is movable between a closed position where the hopper is closed and an open position where an internal chamber of the hopper is accessible to receive the solid adhesive. The hopper and the solid adhesive in the hopper are thermally isolated from the reservoir.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ENHANCED HOT MELT LIQUID DISPENSING SYSTEM MANAGEMENT
Systems and methods for enhanced hot melt liquid dispensing system management are disclosed. In an example method for determining an operating instruction for a hot melt liquid dispensing system having an applicator and a heater, the operating instruction is determined based on a filtered applicator parameter value associated with gun cycle counts of the applicator and a filtered heater parameter value associated with duty cycle values of the heater. The filtered applicator parameter value is determined based on historic applicator parameter values that are updated according to a current applicator parameter value. The filtered heater parameter value is determined based on historic heater parameter values that are updated according to a current heater parameter value.
