Painting method and painting facility for producing a decorative coating
A method for painting a component, in particular for painting a motor vehicle body component, with a decorative layer is provided. The decorative layer may be a decorative strip, a graphic element, a contrast surface or a pattern. The method includes applying a base coat layer, applying a decorative layer, which is within a decorative region with a limited surface area, to the component, and drying a limited drying region of the component, which drying region comprises at least part of the decorative region.
FORMULATIONS AND PROCESSES TO GENERATE REPELLENT SURFACES ON MEDICAL DEVICES
All-in-one formulations for preparing repellent coatings on surfaces of substrates include (i) one or more reactive components that can form a bonded layer on a surface in which the bonded layer comprises an array of compound each compound having one end bound to a surface and an opposite end extending away from the surface; (ii) an optional catalyst; (iii) a solvent; and (iv) a lubricant. A repellent coating can be formed from such formulations on substrate surfaces by drying the formulation on the surface to substantially remove the solvent and to form a bonded layer on the surface with the lubricant stably adhered to the bonded layer. The formulations can be applied to surfaces of ceramics, glasses, metals, alloys, composites, polymers or combinations thereof such as ceramic or metal plumbing fixtures, surfaces of glass substrates including mirrors, windshields, windows, surfaces composed of one or more polymers, medical devices such as ostomy appliances, etc.
System for producing a fully impregnated thermoplastic prepreg
A thermoplastic prepreg includes a web or mesh of fibers in which the web or mesh of fibers includes chopped fibers. The thermoplastic prepreg also includes a thermoplastic material that fully impregnates the web or mesh of fibers so that the thermoplastic prepreg has a void content of less than 5%. The thermoplastic material is polymers that are formed by in-situ polymerization of monomers or oligomers in which greater than 90% of the monomers or oligomers react to form the thermoplastic material. The thermoplastic prepreg includes between 5 and 95 weight percent of the thermoplastic material and the chopped fibers that form the web or mesh of fibers are un-bonded.
PREFORM COATING DEVICE
A preform coating device is provided with: a conveyance part that conveys a preform; a dispenser that discharges a coating liquid toward the preform; a drier that is disposed along the conveyance route of the conveyance part so as to be separated from the dispenser, and that dries the coating liquid applied to the preform by irradiating, with infrared rays, the coating liquid applied to the preform; and an air sending mechanism that is disposed along the conveyance route of the conveyance part so as to be separated from the drier and that sends air toward the preform irradiated with infrared rays.
Method and device for coating workpieces
The invention relates to a method for coating workpieces, which preferably consist at least sectionally of wood, wood-based materials, plastics material or the like, with a coating material, wherein the method includes the steps of: providing a functional layer, which can be rendered adhesive by energy input, supplying a coating material to the workpiece to be coated, at least partially activating the functional layer by treating the functional layer with a heated gas, wherein the heated gas is emitted onto the functional layer via at least one outlet opening and is at a positive pressure of at least 1.5 bar in a region of the at least one outlet opening, and joining the coating material to the workpiece by means of the activated functional layer.
Paint spraying apparatus for stabilizer, coating installation, and coating method
A paint spraying apparatus includes a supporting structure, a lower nozzle unit, and an upper nozzle unit. The lower nozzle unit includes lower flexible tubes and nozzles, and ejects powder paint toward an eye portion on a lower side of a stabilizer. The upper nozzle unit includes a first frame and a second frame. First flexible tubes are arranged on the first frame. Second flexible tubes are arranged on the second frame. The upper nozzles eject the powder paint toward an eye portion on an upper side of the stabilizer.
DRY POWDER COATING APPARATUS
A dry powder coating apparatus for coating pharmaceutical solid dosage forms includes a housing; a drum coater; a powder coating system; a liquid spray system; a ventilation system; a heating system; a touch screen control panel; and an operation box. The drum coater may have a truncated cone on both sides, in which one side is opened and another side is closed. The drum coater is horizontally placed inside the operation box along its axis and fixed on a rotatable shaft and a motor drives the rotatable shaft and rotates the drum coater about its own axis.
REACTIVE COATING MATERIAL FOR STEEL MATERIAL PROVIDING HIGH CORROSION RESISTANCE
Provided is a coating material including barium oxide and/or barium hydroxide, and a metal sulfate, wherein a soluble amount of the metal sulfate in 100 g of water is 0.5 g or more at 5 C.
PRIMER WITH INTERNAL GUIDE COAT
A free radical curable automotive body primer is provided that has a color change corresponding to the progress of the cure process until a dry to sand condition has been attained and an internal colored guide coat that does not change color given its exposure to ambient air and as a result, has a different color on the surface of the primer than when in bulk, allowing for the detection and removal of low spots or other imperfections from a vehicle body by additional sanding of the inventive primer to remove oxidized guide coat colorant surface regions. The cure color change is achieved through resort to at least one color changing dye that reacts with a free radical cure initiator during the vehicle body priming process and changes color to indicate when the primer composition has achieved a level of cure so as to be dry enough to sand.
Insulation reviving and treatment apparatus and method
An insulation reviving and treatment apparatus and method includes an air tube with a first end and a second end and a hollow interior. An opening is provided in the first end and in the second end. A handle is attached to the second end where the handle includes a trigger. An air hose is connected to the handle and to a source of air such that operation of the trigger causes air to exit the opening in the first end. And a baffle is attached to the air tube.
