COATING COMPOSITION FOR PATTERN INVERSION
A coating composition for pattern inversion that fills a gap in an organic underlayer film pattern formed on a substrate to be processed by transferring a resist pattern to an underlayer and forms a flat polysiloxane film, the coating composition including a polysiloxane obtained by a reaction of an alcohol with a silanol group in a hydrolysis-condensate of a hydrolysable silane having a hydrolysable silane containing in the molecule four hydrolysable groups, in a ratio of 50% by mole to 100% by mole relative to the total amount of silanes. The hydrolysable silane is represented by Formula (1):
R.sup.1.sub.aSi(R.sup.2).sub.4-aFormula (1)
and contains 50% by mole to 100% by mole of a hydrolysable silane in which a is 0 and 0% by mole to 50% by mole of a hydrolysable silane in which a is 1 or 2. The alcohol is propylene glycol monomethyl ether, propylene glycol monoethyl ether, or 3-methoxybutanol.
Low-dust, high insulation aerogel blanket and method for producing the same
The present invention relates to a low-dust, high insulation aerogel blanket and a method for producing the same. More specifically, the present invention provides a method for producing a low-dust, high insulation aerogel blanket, wherein a plate type Mg(OH).sub.2.MgO.SiO.sub.2 powder is added to a silica sol, thereby being capable of reducing the generation of dust with excellent flame retardancy and thermal conductivity, and an aerogel blanket produced thereby.
UPPER-LAYER FILM FORMING COMPOSITION AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A PHASE-SEPARATED PATTERN
An overlay film-forming composition used to cause phase separation to a block copolymer-containing layer formed on a substrate, the composition including: (A) a copolymer that includes (a) a unit structure derived from maleimide structure and a unit structure derived from styrene structure; and (B) an ether compound having 8-16 carbon atoms as a solvent. The overlay film-forming composition exhibits good solubility with respect to a hydrophobic solvent, and is able to induce vertical alignment of a block copolymer without causing dissolution, swelling, and the like of the block copolymer-containing layer formed on the substrate.
RESIN COMPOSITE LAMINATE, METHOD OF PRODUCING RESIN COMPOSITE LAMINATE AND STRETCHABLE DEVICE
This resin composite laminate includes a urethane resin layer containing a urethane resin which has a urethane bond and a siloxane bond, has a weight average molecular weight of 52,200 to 260,000, and is soluble in a solvent, and a polyimide resin layer containing a polyimide resin having an imide bond, and a peel strength between the urethane resin layer and the polyimide resin layer is 1.6 N or more per 10 mm in width.
WOOD TREATMENT METHOD
Disclosed is a method for treating a grained material. A nonlimiting example of the method includes the operations of providing a workpiece having grains, exasperating a surface of the workpiece to open the grains, applying at least one coat of a base paint to the exasperated surface, applying at least one layer of clear coat on the base paint, applying at least one of a glaze and a paint on the clear coat, and surface treating to reveal grains of the workpiece. Disclosed also are items of furniture and sheet materials treated by the aforementioned process.
Synthesis of surface-functionalized polyamides
The present invention relates to a process for producing a surface-functionalized molding (oF) having a functionalized surface (fO). In this process a surface (O) of a molding (F) is brought into contact with a dienophile-containing solution (dL). The surface (O) comprises a polyamide (P) which comprises furan units. These furan units are able to react with the at least one dienophile present in the dienophile-containing solution (dL) to give the surface-functionalized molding (oF) having the functionalized surface (fO).

Method of treating razor blade cutting edges
The present invention relates to razor blade cutting edges and methods of producing edges exhibiting improved shave performance longevity and lower cutting forces. Conventional razor blades have increasing cutting forces with use due to the outer coating wear and adhesion loss. Blade edges produced according to the novel process exhibit significantly lower cutting forces when subjected to wool felt cutting shaving simulation, which correlates to more comfortable shaves initially and over the life of the blades. The present invention treats razor blade edges having a first adherent polyfluorocarbon coating with a first solvent to partially remove the polyfluorocarbon coating, adds a second polyfluorocarbon coating, heats, and treats the blade edge with a second solvent providing a final blade edge having a thin, uniform polyfluorocarbon coating. Preferred solvents include perfluoroalkanes, perfluorocycloalkanes, and perfluoroaromatic compounds having a critical temperature or boiling point above the dissolution temperature for the polyfluorocarbon in the solvent.
