Corrosion-resistant reservoir for an e-vaping device and method of manufacturing thereof
Example embodiments relate to a method of protecting a surface of an e-vaping device portion from corrosion, the method including preparing a coating mixture configured to protect the surface from corrosion, and coating the surface with a protective coating based on the coating mixture, wherein the coating is performed via one of electrodeposition, dipping, spraying, and vapor deposition, and the coating mixture includes at least one of a silane and a resin.
Treating fluidic channels
Disclosed is the treatment of the interior walls of a fluidic channel with a self-assembled monolayer of an organophosphorus acid.
Process and apparatus for treating the inner surface of a pipe
The coating device has a rotatable spindle which has fastening mechanisms for fastening a rotation axle to the spindle. Protrusions are radially protruding from the spindle for spreading the coating substance on the inner surface of a pipe. The protrusions have limiters that limit the coating substance to be spread to the desired layer thickness. The method comprises the steps of bringing, to the pipe to be treated, the coating device fastened to a rotation axle with the pipe, a feeding hose of the coating substance and a camera. The coating substance is fed along the feeding hose to a vicinity of the coating device. The coating substance is spread to an inner surface of the pipe by rotating the coating device and by moving the coating device in a longitudinal direction of the pipe.
Novel Pipe-Repair Tool
A pipe-repair tool is disclosed. The pipe-repair tool includes a first chamber to hold a first pressurized sealant and a valve to selectively allow the sealant to flow from the chamber into the interior of a pipe to be repaired. The tool may include a second chamber to hold a second pressurized sealant when using a two-part sealant, in which case the first sealant and the second sealant flow through a mixing chamber when flowing from the first and second chambers to the interior of the pipe. The valve may be a mechanical valve that is opened by moving the tool relative to the pipe to be repaired. The valve may be an electrically controlled valve that is opened with an electrical signal.
Method and apparatus for additive mechanical growth of tubular structures
A method and apparatus is disclosed for additive manufacturing and three-dimensional printing, and specifically for extruding tubular objects. A print head extrudes a curable material into a tubular object, while simultaneously curing the tubular object and utilizing the interior of the cured portion of the tubular object for stabilizing and propelling the print head.
Method for treating domestic water supply installations
A method for treating a domestic supply water circuit, that comprises injecting a treatment product comprising silicates into the water flowing in said circuit in order to form a film on the inner surfaces of said circuit, characterised in that the injection of the treatment product comprises at least one step of injecting silicates at a concentration of between 100 and 200,000 milligrams per litre (mg/L) into the water flowing in said circuit for a period of between 10 minutes (min) and 24 hours (h), the flow rate of water flowing in the circuit being controlled within a range of between 0.05 and 100 litres per minute (L/min) and the temperature of water flowing in the circuit being controlled within a range of between 40 and 65 C.
Aerosol method for coating
The present disclosure describes a system and method of depositing ceramic or ceramic composite coatings on the inside surface area of a tubular shape. The system and method described herein can provide an interior coating for tubes and pipes to provide wear resistance, abrasion resistance, and anti-scaling effects.
PIPE LINING SYSTEM AND METHOD
A method of lining a pipe with a lining mixture formed from a dry component and a liquid is discussed. The method includes placing the dry component in a dry component surface container located above ground, conveying the dry component from the dry component surface container to a dry component subterranean supply container located underground, conveying the dry component from the dry component subterranean supply container to a mixer located underground, mixing the dry component with the liquid to form the lining mixture, and applying the lining mixture to the pipe with a mixture applicator.
AUTOMATED PIPELINE CHEMICAL BATCH TREATMENT
A method of automated pipeline chemical batch treatment includes receiving treatment information at a control system of a pipeline. If the treatment information includes an instruction to activate a pump system, the method includes transmitting an activation signal from the control system to the pump system in accordance with the treatment information. The activation signal causes the pump system to pump one or more chemicals from a chemical feed system into the pipeline. If the treatment information includes an instruction to deactivate the pump system, the method includes transmitting a deactivation signal from the control system to the pump system in accordance with the treatment information, wherein the deactivation signal causes the pump system to stop pumping one or more chemicals from the chemical feed system into the pipeline.
Pre-treating polymer tubing or hose with a hydrophobic coating to reduce depletion of corrosion inhibitor
An inside surface of a hose for use with liquid-cooled cooling plate assemblies and other applications that contain copper (Cu) components is pre-treated with a hydrophobic coating to reduce depletion of a copper corrosion inhibitor (e.g., benzotriazole (BTA)) dissolved in a liquid coolant (e.g., deionized water) that flows through the hose. Exemplary hydrophobic coatings include, but are not limited to, polydialkylsiloxanes such as polydimethylsiloxanes. In one embodiment, a multilayer hose is immersed in a solution containing hydrophobizing siloxane monomers dissolved in a solvent. The coated multilayer hose is then dried to evaporate the solvent. As the solvent evaporates, the siloxane monomers bind together to form the hydrophobic coating. In some embodiments, one or more hoses each provided with a hydrophobic coating interconnect liquid-coolant cooling system components (e.g., cold plates, headers, manifolds, pumps, reservoirs, and heat exchangers) of a cooling apparatus that removes heat from one or more electronic components.
