ADJUSTABLE FOUNDATION
An adjustable foundation and process includes a mattress support surface including a head and back section hingedly connected to an intermediate section at one end and a leg and foot section hingedly connected to the intermediate section at another end, wherein the intermediate section includes a first portion and a second portion, wherein the first portion is hingedly connected to the head and back section and the second portion is hingedly connected to the leg and foot section. The intermediate or seat section is configured to increase in length upon articulation of the head and back section and/or the leg and foot section from a flat position or an increase in inclination of any section. Likewise, the intermediate or seat section is configured to decrease in length upon articulation of the head and back section and/or the leg and foot section from an inclined position to a flat position or a decrease in length upon declination of any section. By doing so, a prone user does not have to shift his position on the mattress in order to accommodate the inclination or declination.
Optimal Dosages for Low Energy Shock Wave Treatment of Vital Organs
The treatment of various sensitive organs with low energy acoustic shockwaves has been proposed. However, the prior art is lacking in guidance as to what constitutes an efficacious minimum dosage or a safe maximum dosage for various target organs and tissues. Through extensive experimentation with cultured cells, live animals, and animal disease models, the inventors of the present disclosure have determined safe and efficacious shockwave energetic dosage ranges for vital and sensitive organs, including the brain, pancreas, kidneys, liver, and spleen, as well as for skin and subcutaneous tissues, peripheral nerves, and skeletal muscles.
Compression garment
In an embodiment, a compression garment can include one or more of a flex frame, a shape memory material, a backing, and a control module. In some variations, the flex frame can include a set of support regions, a set of cutout regions, a set of bridges, one or more terminals, and one or more rotation points. In some variations, the compression garment 100 can further include a fabric sleeve, one or more fasteners, a power module, and/or any other suitable component. The compression garment functions as a compression device (e.g., to improve circulation, enhance muscle recovery, etc.), and can additionally or alternatively function as a passive compression device, a heating and/or cooling device, or perform any other suitable functionality.
Sanitizing steam room
A steam room for sanitizing people's external body parts and clothes, but also their breathing airways and respiratory tract, to reduce viral load and thereby mitigate the likelihood of spreading or contracting Viral contamination. Steam room has precise temperature and relative humidity control of a heater and mist generator, in which the mist water molecules contain an accurate concentration of a Chlorine or Ethanol based disinfectant, so that the water vapor or combined air/water mixture in the room that comes in contact with the sanitized person reaches but does not surpass the globally permitted concentration of free Chlorine for swimming pools, dressing rooms and spas. The room has thermally isolated quick doors allowing rapid entry and exit, and the signaling to guide the person when to enter, stay and breath, and exit, in the most suitable timing profile for the application.
Wearable active-compression therapy and treatment
Apparatus and associated methods relate to a wearable compression therapy system for ambulatory therapy, the system including a wearable garment having one or more inflatable chambers, and a pneumatic engine locally coupled to the garment to provide control and inflation of the one or more inflatable chambers. In an illustrative embodiment, the pneumatic engine may control a pump and one or more valves to inflate the inflatable chambers. The valves and pump may be coordinated according to a pre-programmed profile. In some embodiments, the pneumatic engine may have a wireless interface configured to receive control signals from a remote mobile device untethered from the garment. The pneumatic engine may send to the remote mobile device signals indicative of sensed conditions of the compression therapy system. In some embodiments, the pneumatic engine may include a power source that advantageously permits the user to be untethered from a source of power.
ADJUSTABLE FOUNDATION AND MATTRESS ASSEMBLY
A coil spring mattress and adjustable foundation assembly includes a coil spring mattress; and an adjustable foundation including a mattress support surface including a head and back section hingedly connected to an intermediate section at one end and a leg and foot section hingedly connected to the intermediate section at another end, wherein the intermediate section includes a first portion and a second portion, wherein the first portion is hingedly connected to the head and back section and the second portion is hingedly connected to the leg and foot section.
Method for inducing a meditative state
The present invention is a method and device for inducing or promoting a meditative state.
Therapeutic Vibration System
A therapeutic vibrational system for treating such conditions as hypertension may have a plurality of vibrating patches; each including a vibrating motor with an adhesive for application to a person's skin permitting the plurality of vibrating patches to be placed in two or more locations on the person's skin, as well as a controller with a user interface and configured to provide control instructions to the plurality of vibrating patches.
The intermediate or seat section is configured to increase in length upon articulation of the head and back section 18 and/or the leg and foot section 22 from a flat position or an increase in inclination of any section. Likewise, the intermediate or seat section 20 is configured to decrease in length upon articulation of the head and back section 18 and/or the leg and foot section 22 from an inclined position to a flat position or a decrease in length upon declination of any section. By doing so, a prone user does not have to shift his position on the mattress in order to accommodate the inclination or declination.
Devices, systems and methods for treating pain with electrical stimulation
Devices, systems and methods are provided for treating migraine headaches and other conditions by non-invasive electrical stimulation of nerves and other tissue. A hand-held device includes a housing with a controller having a signal generator, an electrode for delivering electrical signals, and a conductive surface configured as a return path for the electrical signals. In certain implementations, the electrode is repositionable with respect to the housing. The patient can self-apply the hand-held device by pressing it against areas in need of pain relief. The device may include a pressure-sensitive gating switch to control delivery of the stimulation therapy. In certain embodiments, the electrode is a rollerball electrode.
