The device has a body with a first end having a blind hole with a wall adapted to be engageable with the threads on the housing of an IV connector and a bottom surface adapted to engage the top surface of the IV connector. The device body has a second end defining a male-luer slip extending out of a recess. The male-luer slip is adapted to extend into a standard vascular access catheter hub such that it engages the inner walls of the catheter hub, and the recess is adapted to receive and be engageable with the outside thread element of the catheter hub.

The cleaning device includes a sponge assembly disposed within a cleaning chamber. The sponge assembly includes expansion spaces. As a scope is moved through the cleaning chamber, the scope radially compresses sponges and urge at least portions of the sponges into the expansion spaces. The sponges wipe the scope and apply the solution. A heating coil warms the solution within the cleaning chamber.

The automated positioning system selects a gemstone from a plurality of gemstones, deposits the gemstone onto a cleaning stand connected to the platform, cleans at least one side of the gemstone by rubbing at least one side of the gemstone with at least one cleaning tool, and moves the gemstone to a gemstone imaging device connected to the platform. The gemstone imaging device has a plate, and the automated positioning system deposits the gemstone onto the plate. The gemstone imaging device identifies the gemstone. The automated positioning system moves the gemstone to a holding plate that is connected to the platform and deposits the gemstone at a particular location of the holding plate.

A scrub glove (G) has an inner layer (IL) fitting over a wearer' thumb, fingers, palm, and back of their hand, the wearer's wrist and a portion of their forearm. The glove further has an outer layer (OL) of an abrasive, woven mesh material formed to fit over the inner layer and enclosing the wearer's thumb, fingers, palm, the back of their hand, and their wrist. A band (D) fits over an open end of the outer layer where it fits over the open end and a cuff portion of the inner layer and is permanently secured to both the inner and outer layers. While the outer layer fits over the inner layer, it does not adhere to the inner layer whereby when the glove is used fin cleaning, the outer layer is free to move separately from the inner layer.
