SCROLLING PROTECTIVE FILM SYSTEM FOR TOUCHSCREEN

Devices include first and second frame elements having mounting points connectable to opposite ends (e.g., first end, second end) of the touchscreen. First and second rollers are connected, respectively, to the first and second frame elements. A web of transparent material is supported by and between the first and second rollers. Further, an ultraviolet light device is connected to the second frame element and is positioned to expose the web of transparent material to ultraviolet radiation to disinfect the transparent material between users.

PROTECTIVE COVER FOR EYEWEAR

A protective cover for an eyewear including a lens cleaning system and a frame. The protective cover includes a first end portion, a second end portion, a lens opening configured to allow access to a lens of the eyewear, an outer side, and an inner side. The inner side includes a shape that corresponds to a shape of at least a first side of the frame of the eyewear and at least a portion of the lens cleaning system. The inner side may also include a first cleaning system receiver configured to cover a first portion of the lens cleaning system, and a second cleaning system receiver configured to cover a second portion of the lens cleaning system. The protective cover encloses a first side of the frame and the lens cleaning system. The protective cover reduces a failure of the lens cleaning system due to debris.

Masking systems for a turbine

A masking system for a turbine including a first quantity of blades attached to a rotor and arranged adjacent one another to define a blade row with each blade including a blade root, includes a second quantity of center plates. Each center plate is disposed between two adjacent blades and includes a resilient member in contact with each of the two adjacent blades, and a first attachment member operable to attach the center plate to the rotor. The system includes a third quantity of side covers, each side cover positioned adjacent the blade root of one of the blades and connected to one of the center plates, each side cover including a resilient member positioned to surround a portion of the adjacent blade root, and a second attachment member operable to attach the side cover to the rotor.

ANTIVIRAL AND ANTIMICROBIAL PROTECTIVE FILMS WITH MICROSTRUCTURE DETERRENTS COMBINED WITH THERMALLY ELASTOMERIC AND EMBEDDED CHEMICAL ANTI-BACTERIAL OR ANTI-VIRAL AGENTS

An antimicrobial protective film that can be applied to a surface such as a screen of a smartphone or computing device. The user is able to view items displayed on the screen and to interact with the screen via touch or the like. The protective film includes a base layer or film upon which a second layer is formed, and this second layer includes numerous structures, e.g., micro or nano structures. The structures have a geometry that is unfriendly for viruses and bacteria. The structures are embedded with antimicrobial and/or antiviral agents that migrate out of the structures and kill or at least detrimentally affect the viruses or bacteria received within the second layer. This effect is combined with the fact that the structures are made with geometries particularly devastating to microbes during elongation and contraction of the structures with the thermal-based expansion and contraction of the underlying base layer.
