The framework cooler (20) is sized to be installed into the roller framework (11) through the operator-side roller stands (1) of the roller framework (11). The cooler (20) includes a lower (21b) and an upper water tank (21a), each having a connection (22) for a coolant, and includes a plurality of cooling nozzles (23), or cooling tubes (23a) arranged in the depth direction (T) of the framework cooler (20) or at least one cooling slot (24) extending in the depth direction (T). The bottom and top sides of the steel strip (50) may be cooled.
Method and device for producing a continuous strip-shaped composite material
A method and a device for producing a continuous strip-shaped composite material. The device has at least one first casting machine, using which a continuous strand is produced, in particular from steel, at least one rolling stand, which is arranged in line with the first casting machine and downstream thereof. A fully solidified slab of the strand produced using the first casting machine can be hot rolled, and at least one second casting machine, using which a further continuous strand is produced from metal. Between the casting machines, on the one hand, and the rolling stand, on the other hand, a merging unit is arranged, by means of which the slabs can be moved in the direction toward each other in the hot state. The rolling stand is designed as a roll-cladding unit, by which a composite formed from the merged slabs can be hot rolled.
Plate thickness control device and plate thickness control method
A plate thickness control device controlling plate thickness of a hot rolling mill that includes a rolling stand. The plate thickness control device includes: a pyrometer disposed on an entry side of the rolling stand; a difference calculation part that outputs a difference temperature between a lock-on temperature of the plate-to-be-rolled measured by the pyrometer and a measurement value of a portion other than a tip portion of the plate-to-be-rolled measured by the pyrometer; a tracking part that transfers the difference temperature from the position of the pyrometer to immediately below the rolling stand based on plate speed of the plate-to-be-rolled; and a computation part that calculates a screw-down amount of the rolling stand based on the difference temperature transmitted from the tracking part.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR THE OPEN-LOOP AND/OR CLOSED-LOOP CONTROL OF A HEATING OF A CAST OR ROLLED METAL PRODUCT
A method for open-loop and/or closed-loop control of a heating of a cast or rolled metal product, includes the steps of determining the total enthalpy of the metal product from a sum of the free molar enthalpies (Gibbs energy) of all phases and/or phase fractions currently present in the metal product; determining a temperature distribution within the metal product by means of a dynamic temperature calculation model using the total enthalpy determined; and open-loop and/or closed-loop controlling of the heating of the metal product as a function of at least one output variable of the temperature calculation model.
Method and system for the open-loop and/or closed-loop control of a heating of a cast or rolled metal product
The invention relates to a method for the open-loop and/or closed-loop control of a heating of a cast or rolled metal product, comprising the following steps: —determining the total enthalpy of the metal product from a total of the free molar enthalpies (Gibbs free energy) of all phases and/or phase fractions currently present in the metal product; —determining a temperature distribution within the metal product by means of a dynamic temperature calculation model by using the determined total enthalpy; and —open-loop and/or closed-loop controlling of the heating of the metal product according to at least one initial variable of the temperature calculation model.
DETERMINATION OF AN ADJUSTMENT OF A ROLL STAND
Slabs pass through a furnace in a conveying direction, are heated to rolling temperature, and are rolled in at least one roller stand. Determining device receives information showing the regions occupied by the slabs relative to one another when passing through the furnace in at least one direction orthogonal to the conveying direction, and determines, for at least one rolling pass of the respective slab, an adjustment of the roller stand performing this rolling pass without prior determination of a respective temperature distribution of a respective slab or without utilization of a determined temperature of a respective slab. The determining device takes into account the region occupied by the respective preceding and/or following slab, seen in the conveying direction, relative to the respective slab, and supplies the respective determined adjustment of the roller stand to a control device, which controls the roller stand when the respective slab is being rolled.
