METHOD FOR CHANGING THE ROLLS ON A ROLLING MILL
Disclosed is a method for changing the rolls on a rolling mill for rolling a metal strip, carried out using a Quarto rolling mill, including lower and upper working and support rolls. The installation includes a system for extracting the working rolls and the support rolls, including: an actuator pushing the rolls out of the roll stand extraction; a coupling head, secured to the actuator, situated in a position of opening of the roll stand, including: a first coupler driving the chock or the end of the lower working roll, on the rolling-mill drive side; a second coupler driving the chock of the lower support roll, on the rolling-mill drive side. The first and second coupler allow successive extractions of the working rolls and then of the support rolls from the roll stand using the actuator of the extraction system. Also disclosed is a related rolling mill installation.
ROLLING MILL FOR METAL STRIP
Disclosed is a rolling mill for a metal strip, including: a holding cage; an assembly of superimposed rolls with substantially parallel axes, including lower and upper working rolls, defining the gap for passage therethrough, and two respectively lower and upper supporting rolls respectively applied to the working rolls on the opposite side to that of the gap, each roll having two rotatably mounted ends, each on a bearing carried by a chock; and a system for clamping the chocks of the working rolls along the axis of the roll, while allowing the chocks to slide along a guide, following the clamping plane including a mechanical unit using the closing movements of the holding cage in order to switch from a retracted position, allowing the withdrawal, along the axis thereof, of the working rolls out of the holding cage, into a locking position, ensuring locking of the chocks.
ROLL STAND, ROLLING SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ACTIVELY DAMPING VIBRATIONS IN A ROLL STAND
The invention relates to a roll stand (2) for rolling, in particular cold-rolling, metal products, comprising at least one actuator (16) which can be actuated for actively damping vibrations in the roll stand (2), and at least one supporting roll (10) which is non-adjustable or can be adjusted exclusively via a readjusting device for pass line adjustment (13) of the roll stand (2) for supporting a working roll (5) and/or intermediate roll of the roll stand (2), wherein the supporting roll (10) is guided at the ends via a respective bearing unit (11) on a rack (8) of the roll stand (2). In order to enable an optimal active damping of vibrations in a roll stand (2) of this type with low engineering effort, the invention proposes that the supporting roll (10) is supported on the actuator (16) via at least one bearing unit (11) and that the actuator (16) is supported on a section (17) of the rack (8) either directly or indirectly via at least one component (14) of the readjustment device (13)
SIX-HIGH ROLLING MILL STAND AND FINISHING MILL TRAIN FOR HOT ROLLING AN INTERMEDIATE STRIP INTO A THIN STRIP
A six-high rolling (also known as sexto) mill stand that is suited for hot rolling an intermediate strip into a thin strip that is less than 0.8 mm thick. A combined casting and rolling installation that includes the six-high rolling mill stand allowing for hot rolling in long uninterrupted sequences, without any change of the work rolls to obtain a strip with good geometry due to moderate rolling forces.

4-roll, 6-roll, 18-HS-roll stand having a cassette-type design
The invention concerns a 4-high/6-high/18 HS cassette-type roll stand in which bending force is transmitted to bending journals (6) of roll inserts (7) by piston-cylinder units that are connected with Mae West blocks (3). Here, the piston at the piston rod (1) is fixedly connected with the Mae West block (3) and the cylinders (4) fit around the bending journals (6) at the inserts (7) of the rolls, so that thereby bending force can be transmitted directly to the bending journals (6) of the roll inserts (7).
Rolling Stand For Metal Products
Rolling stand for oblong metal products comprising a plurality of rolling rolls (11) each installed on a respective rotation shaft (12), between at least one rotation shaft (12) and the respective rolling roll (11). A coupling member (15) is provided and is configured to couple the rolling roll (11) and the rotation shaft (12) to each other. The coupling member (15) comprises a tubular body (16) interposed between the rolling roll (11) and the rotation shaft (12) and provided with a chamber (17) in which a deformer element (18) is inserted mobile.
Hot rolling mills and hot rolling methods
A hot rolling mill 1 includes a control apparatus 20 that adjusts an angle formed between an upper-side pair of an upper backup roll 120A and an upper work roll 110A and a lower-side pair of a lower backup roll 120B and a lower work roll 110B in a state where the upper-side pair is kept parallel and in a state where the lower-side pair is kept parallel. The hot rolling mill 1 is configured such that the work rolls 110A and 110B satisfy the condition that DW/Lb is equal to or smaller than 0.30 where DW is a diameter of the work rolls 110A and 110B, and Lb is the maximum strip width of a rolled material, and the hot rolling mill 1 performs rolling in a state where a bending force is applied to the work rolls.
Stabilization of the rolled product during opening and/or closing of a roll stand
A rolling mill stand has two working rolls forming a roll gap in which a rolled product transported in a conveying direction can be formed. The positioning of at least one working roll is variable in a plane perpendicular to the conveying direction. The rolling mill is used in a method which comprises: conveying the rolled product through the roll gap in the conveying direction and at the same time opening or closing the rolling mill stand by correspondingly increasing or decreasing the roll gap; during opening or closing of the roll stand, detecting a position of the rolled product in front of and/or behind the roll gap in the direction transverse to the conveying direction; and changing the positioning of the corresponding working roll depending on the detected position, so that the rolled product is stabilized at a target position during opening or closing of the roll stand.
ROLL STRUCTURE OF A FOUR-HIGH ROLLING MILL FOR PREPARING ULTRA-THIN METAL FOILS WITH SURFACE MICROTEXTURE AND A ROLLING METHOD THEREOF
A roll structure of a four-high rolling mill for preparing ultra-thin metal foils with surface microtexture and a rolling method thereof, the roll structure of the four-high rolling mill includes: an upper supporting guide roll, a convex working roll, a concave working roll, and a lower supporting guide roll arranged in sequence from top to bottom; diameters of the upper and lower supporting guide roll are the same; diameters of the convex and concave working roll are the same; and the upper supporting guide roll and the concave working roll is provided with grooves that match the convex working roll; a textured microtexture is provided on a groove surface, the roll structure of the four-high rolling mill prevents direct contact between the microtextured surface of the concave work roll grooves and the supporting guide rolls, directly addressing the issue of roll wear in traditional microtexture rolling processes.
