ROLLING MILL FOR SOLID ELONGATED PRODUCTS
20220111428 · 2022-04-14 ·

A rolling mill for solid elongated products, defining a rolling axis, including first and second rolling stations. Each station includes a load-bearing structure, a removable roll-holder cartridge with three rolling rolls movable radially and rotating around spaced rotational axes, and a roll having a vertical rotational axis. A system synchronizes mechanical adjustment of the rolls. Three actuators mount on the load-bearing structure; three gear motor groups connect to the rolls by single extensions. The second station rolls are rotated 60° from the first stations. The rolls with a vertical axis of the first and second stations are arranged on opposite sides of the rolling axis. All rolling stations allow lateral extraction of roll-holder cartridges from the same side of the rolling mill. The stations on the extraction side have actuators movable relative to the load-bearing structure. The stations with vertical rolls arranged on the opposite side have fixed actuators.

DEVICE FOR LOADING ROLLS AND INNER PARTS OF A ROLL STAND DURING CALIBRATION OF INDIVIDUAL ROLL CALIBERS

A loading device for loading a roll may be connected without play to a roll shaft and may be supported by at least one bearing in a roll stand for rolling metal rods, bars, wires, or pipes from a roll or stock material, and a roll stand comprising such a loading device. The loading device may be configured to exert a force for calibrating a position of the roll in the roll stand, which may simulate a load on the bearing during rolling by applying the force to the roll or roll shaft.

ROLLER REPLACING APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR RAPIDLY REPLACING WORKING ROLLER BASED ON ROLLER REPLACING APPARATUS

A roll changing device is applicable to a multi-roll mill. Under a roll changing state, assembly parts of the work rolls and the bearing chocks have a lateral movement space with the internal width not less than the assembly width of the work rolls and the bearing chocks in a lateral direction of the assembly parts moving along a rolling strip in a mill house, and the movement space allows another work rolls to coexist with used work rolls in the mill house before the used work rolls are pulled out. The roll changing device is provided with at least two rows of clamping heads, one row of clamping heads corresponding to an inlet side are inlet clamping heads, another row of clamping heads close to an outlet side are outlet clamping heads, each row of clamping heads comprises a pair of upper and lower clamping heads arranged in parallel.

A roll device for rolling metal strips comprises a first and a second work roll which define a roll gap therebetween, and a first and a second backup roll. In a common rolling mill stand, at least one work roll is mounted in work roll chocks and the backup rolls are mounted in backup roll chocks. The work roll chocks are designed such that the first and/or the second work roll can each be replaced by a roll arrangement having a work roll with a smaller diameter and at least one additional roll. The work roll with the smaller diameter is supported via the additional roll. The additional roll is mounted in additional roll chocks and the work roll with the smaller diameter is situated in work roll bearings of the additional roll chocks.

ADAPTATION OF A ROLL MODEL

A storage device for two rolls in a roll stand is a component part of the roll stand or can be positioned relative to the roll stand in such a way that the rolls can be transferred from the roll stand into the storage device or vice versa. At least one measuring system is provided, by means of which the temperatures and/or the diameters of the rolls can be detected individually and independently of one another, at least at predefined detection positions, as viewed in the direction of the roll axes. After transmission to an automation unit that controls the roll stand, the unit can adapt a roll model, by means of which it repeatedly determines the temperatures and/or the diameters of the rolls, at predefined determination positions, in the direction of the roll axes, using operating data of the roll stand for the rolls of the same type.
