Performance mode adjustment based on activity detection
Disclosed herein are techniques related to device performance mode adjustment based on activity detection. In some embodiments, the techniques involve detecting, based on processing sensor data obtained from one or more gesture sensors, an activity in which a user of the one or more gesture sensors is engaged. The techniques further involve generating information corresponding to the detected activity in which the user of the one or more gesture sensors is engaged. The techniques also involve controlling, based on providing the generated information to a device for monitoring a physiological characteristic of the user, adjustment of a performance mode of the device for monitoring the physiological characteristic of the user.
Medicine feeder
A medicine feeder includes: an outer rotary body on the outer side to be rotated about a vertical line; an inner inclined rotary body on the inner side to be rotated about an inclined line; and a sorting mechanism and a regulating mechanism operable to align solid medicine pieces carried from the top of the inner inclined rotary body onto an annular upper end surface of the outer rotary body through rotation of the inner inclined rotary body. An upper surface inclined portion of the inner inclined rotary body includes delivery portions sloping downward toward the outer side even at an elevated position and push-up portions not sloping downward toward the outer side, the delivery portions and the push-up portions being formed alternately in the circumferential direction. The push-up portions include projecting portions. The projecting portions are extended to the inner peripheral side of the delivery portions.
Compositions of Bedaquiline, Combinations Comprising Them, Processes for Their Preparation, Uses and Methods of Treatment Comprising Them
The present invention relates to pharmaceutical compositions for inhalation comprising a therapeutically effective dose of bedaquiline wherein the bedaquiline is provided in the form of a suspension, or in which the bedaquiline is provided in the form of a dry powder, and processes for their preparation. Furthermore, the present invention provides pharmaceutical combinations comprising bedaquiline in the form of an aerosol for pulmonary inhalation. The combinations and compositions provided by the present invention may be used in the treatment and/or prophylaxis of pulmonary infections caused by mycobacteria and other gram-positive bacteria.
ROTOR FOR TABLET CASSETTE AND TABLET CASSETTE
A rotor (4) is received rotatably in a cassette body (3) for receiving tablets. The rotor comprises a tablet guiding path (4b) formed between a slanted inner face (6a) of the cassette body and a slanted outer face (22a) of the rotor for guiding the tablets received in the cassette body to a tablet discharging hole (7) disposed to the cassette body. The rotor comprises a separating member (8) disposed above the tablet discharging hole of the cassette body for separating a space between a tablet at a bottom position and a tablet at an upper position, a tablet supporting pedestal (53) disposed elevatably to the tablet guiding path for supporting the tablet at the bottom position in the tablet guiding path and a height adjustment mechanism (50) for adjusting a tablet discharging height between the tablet supporting pedestal and the separating member. The height adjustment mechanism makes the tablet supporting pedestal elevate to a direction inclined to a rotation shaft of the rotor along the tablet guiding path.
WORK STATION FOR MEDICAL DOSE PREPARATION
Embodiments of work stations for use in a medical dose preparation management system are disclosed. A work station may include a camera stand. The camera stand may include a housing enclosing a camera and one or more light sources therein. As such, the camera and light sources may be directed at a medical dose preparation staging region to capture medical dose preparation images of the medical dose preparation staging region. The camera stand may include an adjustable support positionable in a plurality of positions to dispose the camera and light source relative to the medical dose preparation staging region. The work stations may facilitate improved image quality and record work flows carried out at the work station for preparation verification.
Layered multiple single-dose medication systems and assemblies
Devices, assemblies, and methods for arranging and dispensing medication are shown and described. In one embodiment, a medication dispensing assembly includes a first single dose tray having a plurality of dosage complexes and a first label face, and at least a second single dose tray having a plurality of dosage complexes and a second label face. Each dosage complex has a unitary blister pocket adjacent to an L-shaped opening. In other embodiments, a single dose medication tray includes a label platform and a plurality of dosage complex groupings. The result is devices and methods to orient and dispense individually packaged medications.
APPARATUS FOR OPTICALLY COUNTING DISCRETE OBJECTS
The present invention discloses an apparatus for counting discrete objects, said apparatus comprises of a hopper 1; an incline feeder 2 containing an inlet and an outlet; a single optical zone that allows detection of the discrete objects 10 entering from the feeder outlet; a controller which provides the count of the discrete objects; a screen for displaying the count of the discrete objects; wherein the incline feeder outlet is arranged orthogonally to the optical zone. The present invention discloses a method for counting discrete objects comprising the steps of inputting the discrete objects 10 into the hopper 1; passing the discrete objects through the incline feeder 2 such that they enter into the optical zone; optical zone sensing the entering discrete object 10 and transmitting a signal to the controller; displaying the count on a screen; dispensing the counted discrete objects.
MEDICATION SUPPORT APPARATUS
A medication support apparatus includes a container, a medicine distribution member, a port, a take-out device, and a transfer device. The container is configured to store one-dose packages of medicines. The medicine distribution member includes a plurality of partitions configured to separately include the one-dose packages of medicines. The medicine distribution member is configured to enter and exit the medication support apparatus through the port. The take-out device is configured to take out a specific one of the one-dose packages of medicines from the container. The transfer device is configured to transfer the specific one of the one-dose packages of medicines taken out from the container. The one-dose packages of medicines are configured to be placed at predetermined positions partitioned by the plurality of partitions in the medicine distribution member.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR USING SMART PILL BOTTLES TO DISPLAY PRESCRIPTION INFORMATION TO USERS
In some instances, a method performed by a smart pill bottle delivery device is provided. The method comprises determining one or more prescription timing intervals indicating times for the user to take one or more medication units of the medication based on retrieving a prescription for the user from memory, providing one or more visual notifications indicating for the user to take the one or more medication units based on the one or more prescription timing intervals, subsequent to providing the one or more visual notifications, detecting position information indicating an action performed by the user, and causing display of a second display screen based on the position information indicating the action performed by the user.
