Processing Machine for Flat Material Parts
In a processing machine for feeding flat material parts thereto, the control unit controls suction cup units in a pick-up step in order to pick up two or more flat material parts corresponding to the number of suction cup units from a transfer table. The control unit then controls the individual two or more suction cup units in a multi-stage positioning step during a movement of the frame component in the feed direction into the processing machine so that these successively deposit the picked-up flat material parts on the feed table in such a way that, viewed in the feed processing direction of the feed table, no overlapping of the deposited flat material parts occurs.
METHOD OF MAKING A BENT RAZOR BLADE
A method for making a bent razor blade is disclosed. The method includes: providing an elongated strip of stainless steel that can be 0.076 mm thick; hardening the strip; providing a cutting edge along an edge of the strip and providing coating(s) on the cutting edge. The stainless steel has a carbon content less than 0.60% and preferably between 0.45% and 0.55% by weight. The strip is separated lengthwise into discrete razor blades. The bent portion of the razor blade is then formed using a swivel bending process.
Bending device with rotating bending dies
The present invention is directed towards an automated bending device for bending a strip of material into a desired shape. The device is either a single or dual bending tool with interchangeable rotating bending dies which allows for a faster transition from a break bend to a radius bend using air cylinders for positioning of the tools.
Arrangement for Connecting Two Vehicle Body Components and Method for Producing a Sheet Metal Component Having a Doubled Joining Flange
An arrangement for connecting different parts includes two vehicle components. The vehicle body components include a first vehicle body component taking the form of a sheet metal component with a joining flange and being connected at this joining flange to the second vehicle body component via a welded connection. The joining flange on the first vehicle body component has a turned-over rim and is thereby formed with a doubled sheet metal thickness.
Adjustable compound bending jig for manual metal brake
An adjustable jig for a sheet metal brake including a first arm configured to mount to the brake, and an adjustable backstop affixed on the first arm. The adjustable backstop is set at an adjustable first distance from a front face of the brake when the first arm is mounted to the brake. A first adjustable front stop can be configured to engage the first arm and retain an adjustable first front stop position relative to the first arm. A second adjustable front stop can be configured to engage the first arm and retain an adjustable second front stop position relative to the first arm. The first and second front stops are independently adjustable relative to the first arm. A sheet metal brake with an adjustable jig. A method for bending sheet metal with a sheet metal brake and an adjustable jig.
Automated cut and roll machine brake assembly
A brake assembly machine for forming a hem in sheet metal has a top bar and a bottom bar opposite the top bar. The top bar and the bottom bar can move towards one another to hold sheet metal therebetween. The brake assembly machine also has an angle foot movable to a proximity of a bending bar that moves about a bending bar axis and includes a bending face. As the bending bar moves about the bending bar axis, the bending face of the bending bar can move closer to the angle foot and before the bending bar bending face contacts the angle foot, the angle foot moves to avoid contact with the bending bar.
Metal plate bending apparatus and method
An apparatus for bending a metal work piece, the apparatus including a press support frame and a bending anvil disposed on the press support frame. A clamp press can be mounted to the press support frame, the clamp press positioned to selectively clamp the work piece over the bending anvil when the work piece is positioned on the bending anvil. A bending press unit can be mounted to the press support frame, the bending press unit including a bending roller oriented to engage the work piece during a bending operation when the work piece is clamped over the bending anvil. The bending press unit is operable to move the bending roller with respect to the press support frame in a first direction and a second direction, the first direction being substantially perpendicular to the second direction. A method of bending a metal work piece with the bending apparatus.
Rotary bending devices
A rotary bending device for bending workpiece includes a saddle, a rocker, and first and second alignment elements. The saddle includes a longitudinally extending cavity in which the rocker is received, and the rocker rotates relative to the saddle between a neutral position and a bending position for bending the workpiece. The first alignment element is provided on the rocker, and the second alignment element is positioned to engage the first alignment element to limit axial movement of the rocker relative to the saddle during rotation of the rocker between the neutral position and the bending position. The rocker may tangentially contact a bearing surface of the cavity at no more than two lines of tangential contact during rotation. The rocker may further include a longitudinally extending shoulder, and the device may further include a return element positioned to contact the shoulder for biasing the rocker toward the neutral position.
BENDING PRESS HAVING BENDING UNIT, AND RESHAPING METHOD
The invention relates to a bending press (3) and to a method for bending sheet metal in relation to a work piece (2). The bending press (3) comprises a machine frame (7) on which lower and upper clamping jaws (5, 6) are arranged, having first and second reshaping edges. A bending tool (41) having a bending edge (42) is arranged on a bending bar (43). The bending tool (41) is mounted about a swivel axis (46) such that same can swivel. The swivel axis (46) can be moved into both a position above and a position below a work piece contact plane (40). In a position above the work piece contact plane (40), the bending edge (42) is oriented down-wards in the direction of a first reshaping edge, and in a position below the work piece contact plane (40), said bending edge is oriented upwards in the direction of the second reshaping edge. The invention also relates to a method for reshaping, in particular bending, sheet metal in relation to a work piece (2).
MODULAR PRESS BRAKE HAVING IMPROVED COMPONENTS AND ACCESSORIES
The present disclosure provides a method to assemble castings for use in a press brake. A modular press brake is also provided, the modular press brake having a socket connection between the base rail and the bending rail. The press brake is also comprised of a measuring tool having a magnet to engage and disengage from the press brake. An extension allows for cutters to travel from the press brake onto the extension and better cut or bend wider sheet metal. The press brake may be comprised of a stopper pivotable about an axis to quickly prevent or allow the passage of sheet metal in the press brake. The modular press brake is comprised of rails, extruded and fitted into one another. Adjacent rails can be secured to one another by means of fasteners, such that the press brake can be of any length as desired.
