Pipe connection
10655763 · 2020-05-19 · ·

A pipe connection for connecting metal thin-walled pipeline. The pipeline has a shaped connecting segment that increases from the end of the connecting segment in the form of a frustum forming a circumferential sealing surface and a shoulder defining a stop surface adjacent to the sealing surface. The pipe connection also includes a connection stub having a connection thread and a connection bore, which decreases in size and defines a circumferential connection surface for contacting the sealing surface. A union threaded part includes a clamping thread and a passage opening, which has, on the inner circumference, a circumferential clamping surface for contacting the stop surface. The cone angle of the connecting segment in the region of the sealing surface and the cone angle of the connection bore in the region of the connection surface are in the range of about 38 to 50.

Adjustment mechanism for an occupant support

A height adjustment device of a motor vehicle seat and a method for the production thereof includes a transverse pipe and a pair of links. The transverse pipe has two end-side bearing regions which merge in a central region having a larger diameter and each link rests on a bearing region of the transverse pipe.

Header for a heat exchanger, and method of making the same

A header for a heat exchanger includes a first and a second cylindrical portion. The first cylindrical portion has a first diameter, and extends over a first length portion of the header. The second cylindrical portion has a second diameter that is smaller than the first diameter, and extends over a second length portion of the header. Tube receiving slots are arranged along the first length portion. An end cap is received into an open end of the first cylindrical portion, and is joined thereto to seal a first end of the header. An open end of the second cylindrical portion is arranged at a second end of the header opposite the first end to allow for fluid flow into or out of the header. A circumferential bead is located between the first and second cylindrical portions, and extends radially outward of the first cylindrical portion.

SHAPING TOOL FOR A WORKPIECE, AND DEVICE FOR DEFORMING A WORKPIECE USING SUCH A TOOL

A shaping tool for connecting to a shaping device for deforming a portion of a workpiece. The shaping tool includes a clamping device having multiple clamping segments and a compressing head having a depression on one end for forming a portion of the workpiece. The compression head and the clamping device being integrally connected to each other, circumferentially, as a wholly exchangeable single tool unit and being axially movable relative to each other. The compression head additionally, on an opposing side from the depression, an attachment feature for connecting the single tool unit to a shaping piston of a shaping device.

Method for forming spool in pipe and manufacturing apparatus for forming spool in pipe

A side wall of a pipe is clamped by a first die and a second die to thereby clamp the pipe. The first die and the second die are made to approach each other while an end of the pipe is pressed toward the first die by the third die along a longitudinal direction of the pipe, to thereby form a spool between the first die and the second die. In a state where the spool is clamped by the first die and the second die, the third die is separated from the pipe along the longitudinal direction of the pipe so as to separate the second die and the third die from each other. Clamping of the pipe is released such that the first die and the second die separate from the side wall of the pipe, to thereby unclamp the pipe.

JOINING METHOD FOR MEMBERS AND JOINT BODY

In a joining method for members, a tube body having a center axis L, a wall surface body having a hole portion through which the tube body can be inserted, and an elastic body that can be inserted in the tube body are prepared. The tube body has an inner rib extending in a direction of the center axis so as to partition an inside thereof, and the inner rib has notches cut from a lower end of the inner rib in the direction of the center axis. Next, the tube body is inserted through the hole portion in the wall surface body, and the elastic body is inserted into internal spaces partitioned by the inner rib of the tube body. Furthermore, the elastic body is compressed in the direction of the center axis of the tube body and expanded outward in a radial direction with respect to the center axis, whereby an end of the tube body is expanded and deformed to be joined to the wall surface body by press-fitting.

Shaping tool for a workpiece, and device for deforming a workpiece using such a tool

A shaping tool for shaping a portion of a workpiece. The shaping tool includes a clamping assembly with a clamping device having multiple clamping segments and a compressing head having a depression on one end for forming a portion of the workpiece. The compression head including an attachment feature on the opposing side for connecting to a shaping piston of a shaping assembly. The compression head and the clamping device being structurally connected in a circumferential manner as a single tool unit and are arranged on a common longitudinal axis together with the shaping assembly, which is actuated by fluid pressure and together with the clamping assembly.

Conductor assembly with a crimped tubular ferrule and method of manufacturing same

An assembly includes an elongate conductor, such as a coaxial electrical cable, having a generally circular cross section and a generally cylindrical seamless outer ferrule having a ferrule radius surrounding a portion of the conductor. The outer ferrule is deformed to define four indentations and four projections that are evenly spaced about a circumference of the outer ferrule. The four indentations have a consistent indentation radius that is less than the ferrule radius.

Pipe, spool forming die, and pipe manufacturing method

A pipe extending from a first side toward a second side includes a side wall and a spool. The spool formed in the side wall is bent so as to protrude from an outer circumferential surface of the pipe, and extends to surround the outer circumferential surface. The spool includes a first portion located on the first side and a second portion located on the second side. There is a clearance between the first portion and the second portion in a top region of the spool, and the first portion and the second portion substantially abut each other in a base region.

A height adjustment device of a motor vehicle seat and a method for the production thereof includes a transverse pipe and a pair of links. The transverse pipe has two end-side bearing regions which merge in a central region having a larger diameter and each link rests on a bearing region of the transverse pipe.
