The adhesively-laminated core for a stator includes a plurality of electrical steel sheets which are stacked on one another and of which both surfaces are coated with insulation coatings, and adhesion parts which are disposed between the electrical steel sheets adjacent to each other in a stacking direction and cause the electrical steel sheets to be adhered to each other. All sets of the electrical steel sheets adjacent to each other in the stacking direction are adhered via the adhesion parts. An adhesive forming the adhesion parts is a two-agent type acrylic-based adhesive (SGA) which includes an acrylic-based compound, an oxidizer, and a reducer and in which a portion of the acrylic-based compound and the oxidizer are assigned to a first agent and the remaining portion of the acrylic-based compound and the reducer are assigned to a second agent. The adhesion parts are partially provided between the electrical steel sheets adjacent to each other in the stacking direction.

The torque applied to the index motor is then reduced, and the press ram and the upper tooling section are moved to an intermediate position so that the piloting device cooperates with the cut opening of the workpiece for angular positioning of the workpiece.

A laminated core can be contained in a rotor and/or in a stator and include at least one first sheet metal part assembly and at least one second sheet metal part assembly. The two sheet metal part assemblies are arranged alternately lying one against the other in a stacking direction. Every first sheet metal part has first teeth projecting from a connecting part radially relative to the axis of rotation. Correspondingly, every second sheet metal part has second teeth projecting from a second connecting part. The first teeth extend from the axis of rotation at a distance different from how far the second teeth extends from the axis of rotation to form a step to mesh the rotor with an associated stator and increase the air gap between them without increasing dimensions of the laminated cores in the stacking direction.

An elongated strip of the material is moved to a notching station where notches are formed at corner locations. The character of the notches is adjusted based on the selection of the metal strip material and more particularly to achieve bending of the material in an repeatable, straightforward manner. Downstream from the notching station the metal strip is bent into a channel shaped elongated frame member having side walls. Further downstream a leading strip of channel shaped material is severed or separated front succeeding material still passing through the notching and bending station.
