Tubular joint roll forming machine
A roll forming machine for continuously forming a sheet into a joint section of a tube may include a plurality of roller stations arranged longitudinally on a frame and configured to bend the sheet to form the tube, and a carriage slidably secured to the frame. A pleat die assembly may be mounted on the carriage and can be configured to repeatedly engage the tube to form a series of pleats thereby bending the tube to form the joint section. A crimp die assembly may be mounted on the carriage and can be configured to engage the tube to crimp an end of the joint section and sever the end of the joint section from the tube. The carriage may be configured to be selectively moved relative to the frame while the tube is engaged with at least one of the crimp die assembly and the pleat die assembly.
METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION OF AN INTERNAL STOP IN A TUBULAR COMPONENT
An inner diameter of a first end of a tubular component, positioned in relation to a first die, is reduced through relative movement between the tubular component and the first die such as to produce a first conical area between first and second ends of the tubular component. The first conical area is then formed through relative movement of a second die to create in a longitudinal section of the first conical area an outer circumferential embossment and an inner bead having an inner diameter smaller than the inner diameter of the first end. The first end is widened through insertion of an inner tool, while the tubular component is supported on an outside in a mold cavity of an outer tool. An inner contour with an internal stop is formed as an outer surface of the first end of the tubular component rests flatly in the mold cavity.
Crimping pliers, group of crimping pliers and use of a die half
The invention relates to crimping pliers (1) having a pliers jaw (4) on which a die half (22) is supported. A crimping force biasing the die half (22) is sensed in the crimping pliers by a force sensor. The force sensor is a piezo foil (36) mounted to the pliers jaw. The force sensor senses the whole crimping force or only a crimping force component from which it is then possible to calculate the whole crimping force.
Dual Action Retention Mechanism
Embodiments of the invention provide a die retainer for use in a tool. The die retainer can include a ram head, a release button, and a die pin. The ram head includes a die cavity and a pair of lateral sides on opposing sides of the die cavity. The release button can extend through a release button hole formed in the ram head hand include opposing ends that extend past each of the corresponding pair of lateral sides. The die pin extends through a die pin cavity that intersects the release button hole. The die release button can be actuatable from either of the opposing ends to retract the die pin from the die cavity.
HYDRAULIC CRIMP PRESSURE FEEDBACK METHODS
A crimping system for crimping fittings on hoses is disclosed and includes an interface and a crimper machine. The crimper machine is configured to analyze collected information based on identified hose and fitting properties; perform a crimping operation based on the collected information and the identified hose and fitting properties; measure crimping characteristics for the crimping operation; generate an alert based on the measured crimping characteristics and the collected information; and provide the alert to the interface.
Pressing tool for pressing fittings for producing pipe connections and method for pressing fittings
A pressing tool for pressing fittings to produce pipe connections, with two opposing pressing jaws, each having a pressing section and a lever section, and having a retaining element for swivel connecting the pressing jaws, wherein the pressing sections form a receiving section and wherein pressing the lever sections apart causes the receiving section to close. An actuator spindle, a spindle nut and at least two actuator levers are provided, and each actuator lever is swivel connected at one end to the lever section of a pressing jaw and each actuator lever is swivel connected at another end to the spindle nut. A method for pressing fittings for the production of pipe connections is also disclosed.
Gas-charging and flanging machine
A gas-charging and flanging machine (10) includes a sealed chamber (13a). The gas-charging and flanging machine is used for carrying out, inside the sealed chamber, charging of a gas into a workpiece (20) and flanging of the workpiece (20) by spinning and pressing. The gas-charging and flanging machine charges a gas into a workpiece and flanges the workpiece on the same machine such that production efficiency can be improved.
Power tool
A power tool including a moveable piston, a motor capable of driving the moveable piston to perform work on a work piece, and a distance sensor configured to sense a movement of the moveable piston. The distance sensor operable to provide sensor information indicative of the movement of the piston. A controller receives the sensor information from the distance sensor. The controller operates the motor to perform work on the work piece based in part on the sensor information that the controller receives from the distance sensor.
Press ring with elongated holes
A press ring (1) for pressing tubular workpieces (35), comprising: at least two movable press jaws (3); and at least one connecting press jaw (5) connecting the movable press jaws (3); wherein the movable press jaws (3) are each hinged at their proximal ends to the connecting press jaw (5) by means of respective bolts (9), so that the distal ends (7) of the movable press jaws (3) can be rotated towards and away from each other to close respectively open the press ring (1) to receive a workpiece (35) therein, and characterized in that the respective bolts (9) are arranged in elongated holes (11), allowing a translational displacement of the bolts (9) in the elongated holes (11) upon rotating the movable press jaws (3).
SYSTEMS AND METHODS TO FACILITATE HOSE AND FITTING IDENTIFICATION AND ASSEMBLY
A crimper analyzer system is disclosed. The crimper analyzer system also includes a network interface. The crimper analyzer system also includes a memory storage. The crimper analyzer system also includes one or more processors configured to: receive hose specifications and fitting specifications from the network interface, generate crimp parameters based on the received hose specifications and crimp operation data, obtain additional crimp operation data for a hose assembly operation, update the crimp operation data with the additional crimp operation data and store in the updated crimp operation data in the memory storage, and generate a unique assembly identification (UAID) for the hose assembly operation subsequent to the hose assembly operation.
