Oral hydration system
A hydration system comprising: a fluid reservoir comprising a means for reversibly mounting the hydration system to a structure; a supply tube fluidly coupled to the reservoir at its distal end; a reversibly compressible chamber fluidly coupled to the supply tube; a mouthpiece proximate to or at a proximal end of the collapsible chamber; and at least two valves that regulate the flow of fluid through the hydration system, wherein a distal valve is positioned at a distal end of the chamber or along the supply tube and closes in response to compression of the chamber to reduce backflow of fluid into the reservoir during compression, and a proximal valve is positioned at the mouth piece, biased closed for regulating the delivery of fluid out of the mouthpiece and prevents or reduces air induction into the mouthpiece.
FEMALE ENTERAL COUPLING
A container for collecting, transporting, storing, delivering and dispensing fluid. The container has a hollow tube with an outer circumference diameter and is configured to receive a plunger. A collection adaptor and a dispensing adaptor provide interchangeable coupling of a variable volume container such as a syringe with a collection device such as a breast pump and a dispensing device such as a nipple. The container also has a circumferential seal assembly secured at one end of the hollow tube. The seal assembly outer diameter is substantially similar to the hollow tube outer diameter.
INFANT SAFETY CAP
An infant safety cap that provides a clear view of the region around the patients mouth during oral administration of fluid, and meets childproof guidelines set by the Consumer Product Safety Commission in 16 CFR 1501 is set forth. In addition, an ENFit syringe safety cap system incorporating the infant safety cap, constructed in accordance with the principles herein, enables safe and effective fluid delivery, while providing a clear view section around a small outer diameter fluid delivery channel of the cap, which is particular useful for verifying delivery of the fluid. The cap can be selectively sealed to provide a tamper-proof dosage delivery, and to verify the contents of the attached container.
APPARATUS, DEVICE, AND METHOD FOR INFANT GAVAGE FEEDING
The disclosure includes embodiments of an apparatus, a device, and methods to transform an infant feeding bottle into an infant gavage feeding apparatus. According to an embodiment, an infant gavage feeding apparatus can include an infant feeding bottle, a gavage milk delivery component, a retaining ring, and a cord component. In another embodiment, an infant milk dual-delivery device to transform an infant feeding bottle to an alternate nipple feeding and gavage feeding apparatus includes a gavage milk delivery component, a retaining ring, and a nipple receiving component. The gavage milk delivery component and the nipple receiving component can be positioned in a branched or a stacked configuration. The device can include a flow closure component and a controller to transition the milk flow for a gavage feeding and nipple feeding. The device can include a funnel to allow milk in the nipple to flow back into the infant feeding bottle.
Enteral feeding pump system
Methods and apparatus for an enteral feeding pump system. A method of directing flow for a coil includes drawing fluid from a source and delivering fluid, the coil including input and output check valves to prevent a back flow of fluid.
Systems and Devices for Controlling Delivery of Breast Milk Supplementation
Devices for controlling delivery of a breast milk supplement are described which include a housing sized for placement on a surface near a breast region of a lactating female, the housing including one or more supplement reservoirs, at least one of the supplement reservoirs including a port with a controllable valve, a data storage component including a breast milk supplement regimen, and a control unit including a microprocessor and circuitry, the control unit operably coupled to the data storage component and to the controllable valve, the circuitry including actuation circuitry configured to actuate the controllable valve based on the breast milk supplement regimen; and at least one delivery tube having a first end and a second end, the first end of the at least one delivery tube in fluid communication with the port, the second end of the at least one delivery tube configured for placement in proximity to a nipple of the lactating female.
AUTOMATED ENTERAL NUTRITION
A system can automatically adjust flow rates/feeding regimen of a feeding pump feeding fluids/enteral nutrition to a patient. The system can, based upon a prescribed volume of nutrition or nutritional targets (such as and not limited to energy (calories), protein etc.) to be delivered and a prescribed delivery duration, adjust the pump flow rate/feeding regimen following unexpected delivery interruptions to achieve at or near to the prescribed total volume/nutritional targets to be delivered, despite the interruptions.
FEEDING TUBE WITH ELECTROMAGNETIC SENSOR
There is provided feeding tubes including an electromagnetic sensor including a sensor body comprising a core positioned at a distal end of the sensor lumen, and a wire extending along the length of the feeding tube, wherein an RF induced heating of the feeding tube in an MRI environment is below 5 degrees.
Oral administration coupler for back-of-mouth delivery
An improved oral administration coupler for delivery of fluids such as medications and nutritional fluids. Example oral administration couplers have a first end with an applicator for oral delivery to an infant, and a second end with a coupling compatible with an enteral fluid delivery syringe. A fluid delivery conduit extends in fluid communication from the first end to the second end, to deliver fluid from the syringe to the infant. In some example embodiments, the coupler is configured for back-of-mouth delivery, and can comprise a generally elongate and at least partially flexible tube or straw.
