The device (30) comprises: a stopper (37) suitable for being attached to and detached from the lid (3) in order to close and open the orifice (17); and a body (31) connected to the stopper (37) and suitable for being inserted inside the container (1) through the orifice (17), and including: an abutment (35) on which a corrugated portion (105) of the straw (100) is suitable for resting when the stopper (37) is attached to the orifice (17), and which is suitable for entraining said corrugated portion (105) while the stopper (37) is being detached in order to extract the straw (100) from the container (1) through the orifice (17); and at least one opening (34) through which the straw (100) can be disengaged from the device (30) when the stopper (37) is detached from the lid (3).

Conversion system

A conversion system wherein a crankshaft drives the motion of the tooling assemblies within a number of lanes is provided. The crankshaft is structured to move the tooling assemblies associated with less than the total number of lanes. That is, for example, a four-lane conversion system could include two crankshafts each actuating the tooling assemblies of two lanes. In an exemplary embodiment, each lane has a single associated crankshaft.

The invention further relates to an acidic aqueous composition suitable for the pretreatment method comprising water-soluble polymers selected from condensation products of glycoluril and aldehydes. The invention further relates to a method for producing can cylinders, said method including the pretreatment according to the invention.

A domer station having a domer assembly, a housing assembly, and a stacked piston assembly is provided. The domer assembly is movably disposed within a domer body passage located in the housing assembly and structured to move between a forward, first position and a retracted, second position. The stacked piston assembly includes a plurality of pistons, preferably three pistons, disposed in series and a pressure supply. The pistons are disposed behind the domer in pressure chambers. The pistons have a constant pressure applied thereto and are biased towards the domer. The pistons are, however, each restrained by a stop and do not contact, or operatively engage, the domer when the domer is in the domer first position.
