Assembled camshaft and method for producing an assembled camshaft
A camshaft for an engine and a method of assembling such a camshaft, wherein the camshaft has a base shaft and an external toothing which extends at least in certain portions axially along the base shaft A hub has an internal toothing which correlates with the external toothing of the base shaft such that the hub is connected rotationally conjointly and axially non-displaceably to the base shaft. The external toothing has at least one form-fit subregion, which extends axially at least in certain portions along the base shaft, or one force-fit subregion in order for the hub to be arranged at least in a form-fitting or force-fitting manner, and wherein at least the form-fit subregion or the force-fit subregion is adjoined by at least one alignment region which extends at least in certain portions axially along the base shaft and which serves for the angular alignment of the hub.
Method for joining a functional module, and functional module
A method of joining a functional module comprises the steps of providing a frame structure that defines a bearing channel with at least one circumferentially closed bearing seat; providing at least two attachment parts; providing a hollow shaft that comprises at least one support section for the at least two attachment parts, wherein the attachment parts comprise a mounting seat that is adapted to a support section; feeding the attachment parts in the bearing channel in a first feeding direction; feeding the hollow shaft in the bearing channel in a second feeding direction, wherein the hollow shaft is inserted into the respective mounting seat of the at least two attachment parts; and, subsequent to the feeding of the attachment parts and the hollow shaft in the bearing channel, at least sectionally widening the hollow shaft for a torsionally rigid fixation of the at least two attachment parts with their mounting seats at the respective support section of the hollow shaft.
End piece for camshaft and method of manufacturing the same
A method of manufacturing an end piece for a camshaft may include forming a shape of an end piece to be coupled to a camshaft by compacting steel and powder in a net-shape manner and by sintering steel and a powder compact that are preassembled to each other.
Variable camshaft phaser with magnetic locking cover bushing
A variable camshaft phaser is provided having a stator attached to a driving part, and a rotor located within the stator and attached to a driven part. First and second cover plates are located on respective first and second axial sides of the stator. Inwardly directed vanes of the stator, the rotor, and the first and second cover plates define at least one chamber. Radially outwardly directed vanes of the rotor divide the at least one chamber into an advance side working chamber and a retard side working chamber. A locking pin bore is located in the rotor, and a locking pin is located in the locking pin bore. One of the first and second cover plates includes a locking pin receiving opening. A magnetic part is located in the locking pin receiving opening to remove metallic particles and contaminants from the flow of pressurized hydraulic fluid.
END PIECE FOR CAMSHAFT
A method of manufacturing an end piece for a camshaft may include forming a shape of an end piece to be coupled to a camshaft by compacting steel and powder in a net-shape manner and by sintering steel and a powder compact that are preassembled to each other.

Apparatus for disassembling pressed together crankshafts
Apparatus for facilitating the disassembly and assembly of a pressed-together crankshaft such as found on a two-stroke engine used in automobiles, motor boats, wave runners, etc. The apparatus includes a crankshaft engagement member rotatably connected to a channel member which includes a fixed abutment plate, a channel having a pair of flanges interconnected by a web portion which is bent outwardly to provide clearance for at least a portion of a crankshaft assembly engaged by the crankshaft engagement member. The engagement member includes a slot for receiving and supporting a crankshaft throw while a pin forming part of the throw is pressed from its operative position. The engagement member includes a second slot for receiving a center portion of the crankshaft assembly while a center shaft member is pressed from its operative position to allow the removal of a crankshaft center support bearing. The crankshaft engagement member may include a third slot for receiving a center portion of a crankshaft assembly having a different configuration. The crankshaft engagement member is rotatable in order to position a selected slot in its operative position. The crankshaft engagement member is replaceable with the engagement member configured to receive a predetermined crankshaft assembly.
Method for manufacturing a piston indicator for a camshaft
A method for manufacturing a position indicator sensor wheel for a camshaft is disclosed. The position indicator includes an axially extending passage for connecting to the camshaft and at least one radially projecting tooth. The method includes providing a sheet from a sheet material; introducing the passage into the sheet; and roughening a radial inner surface of the passage in at least one rough portion.
Device for jointing a plurality of elements on a shaft
A device for jointing a plurality of elements, each comprising a cutout for a shaft, in a predetermined angular position on the shaft, may include a traversable guide carriage configured to push the shaft from above through the cutouts of the elements. The device may also include an electrical spindle drive and a pneumatic piston for displacing the traversable guide carriage.
Stamping groove for target wheel
