METHOD FOR PRODUCING A COMPONENT WHICH HAS A TOOTHING PROFILE, AND TOOL DEVICE

A method for producing a component which has a toothing profile includes, in a first step, inserting a component blank into a mounting of a tool device configured to receive a pressing force during a movement of a pressing part of the tool device in a vertical movement direction, and, in a second step, pressing the toothing profile into the component blank using a rotational body which is coupled to the pressing part via a joint rod, when the pressing part is moved in the movement direction, the rotational body is pressed in a direction of the component blank and rolls along the component blank such that the toothing profile is formed.

MULTI-STAGE FORGING PROCESS
20240408668 · 2024-12-12 ·

A method of manufacturing a forged iron type golf club head with a cavity. The method of manufacturing comprises forming a billet into an intermediate club head body with a strike face comprising an upper region and a lower region; hot pressing a cavity into the rear portion of the intermediate body; and bending the strike face of the intermediate club head body to form a golf club head with a cavity and a planar strike face. Other embodiments are disclosed.

Forged golf club head

An iron-type golf club head with a cavity formed via a multi-stage forging process. The forged iron-type golf club head is formed from a single billet of material. An intermediate step of the multi-stage forging process creates a cavity in the iron-type golf club head which can receive an insert. The resultant iron-type golf club head has a substantially lower center of gravity and higher moment of inertia when compared to a traditionally forged iron-type golf club head lacking a cavity. Additionally, the resultant iron-type golf club head has a more solid feel than a traditionally cast iron-type golf club head as a result of the tighter grain structure the forging process yields.

MANUFACTURING METHOD OF PRESS-MOLDED ARTICLE AND PRESS MOLDING APPARATUS

A manufacturing method of press-molded article of the present invention comprises a step of placing a member to be pressed in a press molding apparatus and a step of pressing a flat plate portion of the member to be pressed by bringing a first press portion and a second press portion closer to each other. A first opposing surface and a second opposing surface, while facing to each other, keep in contact with the flat plate portion during pressing. In the press step, a thick part is formed on the flat plate portion by allowing a part of a material of the flat plate portion to flow, in a press direction, into a thickened portion-forming section formed on the first opposing surface. The second opposing surface is moved to the press direction as the flat plate portion is pressed by the first press portion and the second press portion.

Cold forming method for forming power pins and power pin formed thereof
09634419 · 2017-04-25 ·

The invention discloses a cold forming method for forming power pins and a power pin formed thereof. The cold forming method for forming power pins comprises the following steps: step 1: cutting blank out; step 2: pre-forming the power pin body by necking; step 3: trimming the pre-formed power pin body, and pre-forming a pin fixing disk; step 4: forming the pin fixing disk and a staggered weld leg of pin. The invention also discloses a power pin formed by the cold forming method, composed of a power pin body, a pin fixing disk and a staggered weld leg of pin which are integrally formed into one piece by the cold forming method. The invention achieves high-speed automatic production and high production efficiency with a simple process, and improves material utilization and strength.

Process for making forged and machined components
09616486 · 2017-04-11 ·

The present invention discloses a process of manufacturing forged components using a combination of open die and closed die forging, and machining. The process involves the steps of cogging of the ingot, upsetting the cogged bloom in two steps to form a preform, closed forging the preform on a hammer, rough machining, heat treatment, semi-finishing, and finally finishing the component. The present invention is applicable to any forged components that are used in variety of industries, particularly those which are formed from large ingots. The invention is particularly useful for safety- and application-critical components such as a fluid end which is used in oil and gas industry. With the process of the present invention, 55 to 60% of the shape and size of the final component is achieved through forging and remaining 40 to 45% through machining. Incorporating the closed die forging stage in between open die forging and machining stages of the results in about 27% material reduction and over 60% reduction in machining time.
