Die for the manufacturing of elongate bodies
11207726 · 2021-12-28 · ·

A die holder mounts a die to form heads on nails or screws. A top surface of the die includes a groove for longitudinally receiving and holding an elongate body. The die has a recess merging into the groove at one end of the groove to form a nail or screw head. The die is conical for press fit by contact with an inner surface of a bore or hole in the die holder. A top surface of the die is planar to a top surface of the die holder with a bottom surface engaging bottom part of the die holder. The bottom portion of the die has a recess or engaging with a corresponding protrusion die holder fixing an angular orientation of the groove relative to the die holder. Two opposite dies are brought together by two opposite die holders forming the head.

Forging and inclined window hole punching composite die

A forging and inclined window hole punching composite die includes an upper die holder, a connection sleeve, an upper die sliding sleeve, a pressure plate, inclined window puncher pins, a center puncher pin, first connection screw rods, first springs, second connection screw rods, second springs, hydraulic assistant systems, a lower die and a bottom plate. Bottom surface of the pressure plate of the composite die is a plane to avoid deformation of a front molding surface. Hydraulic power is added to the inclined window puncher pins to increase the pressure for punching inclined holes, avoid quality problems and increase a demolding force. A multi-split synchronous hydraulic device may well realize synchronization of the plurality of inclined window puncher pins.

Peripheral combination hydraulic press to forge and method of manufacturing thereof

A radial forge is provided with variable radial displacement. The forge includes upper and lower frames having upper and lower double acting hydraulically driven rams. The forge also includes a horizontal master gear mounted on a circular thrust bearing to provide rotational freedom. One or more radial hydraulically drive rams are mounted to the master gear. Accordingly, the master gear serves as a gantry for positioning the radial rams. A billet may be centrally located between the inwardly directed radial rams and may be supported by the lower ram. The upper ram is aligned with the lower ram so that actuating the upper ram and/or lower ram compresses the billet between them and forces the billet to flow into and fill radial dies removably affixed to the radial rams.

METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PRODUCING A HOSE NIPPLE

The invention relates to the production of profiled hose nipples. The invention was based on the object of providing a method and an apparatus which allow hose nipples of the type outlined in the introduction to be produced in a simple manner such that the formation of burrs is avoided and there is no reduction in diameter. This object is achieved in that during the forming of pipe portions (1) in the apparatus (2, 7, 9) according to the invention in the region of the subsequent ring-shaped webs (4) of the nipple profile (3), the material of the pipe portion (1), at its outwardly pointing end (4), does not come into contact with the tool in the region of the parting joints (6) of the apparatus (2, 7). This can be realized by additional cavities (14) in the tool (2, 7).

Method of forging outer joint member of constant velocity universal joint

A method is used to forge an outer joint member of a constant velocity universal joint. Track grooves of the outer and inner joint members each have an arc-shaped ball raceway center line having a curvature center that is not offset in an axial direction with respect to a joint center. The forging method includes performing ironing by press-fitting a cylindrical portion of one end of a shaft portion of a pre-processing material of the outer joint member including the shaft portion and the cylindrical portion into a die hole of a die while a punch set that is radially expandable and contractable is fitted to an inner peripheral surface of the cylindrical portion. The punch set includes punches and a punch base to guide the punches to enable advancing and retreating. Each of the punches has a pair of forming surfaces for forming the adjacent track grooves.

Device for calibrating and lightening the weight of crankshafts

A device for lightening the weight of vehicle components includes a tooling provided with a seat wherein the component is formed and a plurality of moveable bodies, which are moveable between an initial position and a final position, such that in the final position one end of each moveable body penetrates the seat of the tooling to form a cavity to lighten the weight of a component of the vehicle, wherein at least one of the moveable bodies can move laterally. Such device allows lightening the weight in a more simple and productive way than in currently known systems. This is achieved because the moveable bodies do not interfere with each other during the movement thereof, such that the lightening process can be done in a single blow during a forging procedure.

PRESS FORMING APPARATUS

Disclosed is a press forming apparatus including a lower die assembly having a lower die, an upper die assembly having an upper die configured to be movable in a first direction relative to the lower die, a cam slider configured to be movable in a second direction relative to the lower die, and a conversion mechanism configured to convert a movement of the upper die assembly in the first direction into a movement of the cam slider in the second direction.

Front axle beam and production method thereof

In a pressing step, a first forged product is pressed by a first die, and thereby, a second forged product including a rough flange having a thickness-changing portion is produced. The thickness-changing portion includes a front part protruding frontward from a side of a rough web part and a rear part protruding rearward from the side of the rough web part. Each of the front part and the rear part includes a first part, and a second part that is thicker than the first part and is located farther from the rough web part than the first part. In the pressing step, at least a part of the rough flange that is above or below the web part (thick part) is pressed by the first die, whereby the material of the first forged product in the part is caused to flow frontward and rearward, and the thickness-changing portion is formed.
