20220168187 · 2022-06-02 · ·

The device is adapted to accommodate medication for different days or for different times of a single day such as morning, midday and evening. A pill box with sections may be used for partitioning the medication. The pill box is contemplated to have at least one see-through wall or lid such that one may see medication or a label in the pill box. Pairs of light emitters and light receivers are used to detect medication and a processing unit for receiving output signals of the light receivers is used together with a communications module for transmitting a status signal of the pill box.

Synchronized medication tracking system

It is vital to use the right medicine at the right time, at the right dose while taking medicines; forgetting to take medicines is a problem seen in patients with forgetfulness or carelessness, especially elderly patients, and in patients who are on continuous medication and/or have to use a medicine for a certain period. The synchronized medication tracking system of the present invention is designed to solve the problems of the patients. The present invention includes a cartridge that can be carried on patients at all times, a filling device for placing the medicines in portable cartridges, and an application to allow tracking this information.

Disclosed is a refrigerating device that includes: a refrigeration mechanism; and a cooling chamber. The cooling chamber is operatively coupled to the refrigeration mechanism using any or a combination of a latching mechanism and a screwing mechanism, and is configured to hold a load to be cooled. The refrigeration mechanism can be a thermo-electric assembly (TEA) and the device can include a proportional integral derivative (PID) controller to set and regulate temperature inside the cooling chamber. The cooling chamber can be a vacuum flask, open end of the vacuum flask configured to be thermally sealed with the TEA. The vacuum flask provides thermal insulation between the load and ambient environment. In an exemplary embodiment, the vacuum flask can be thermally sealed with the TEA by configuring the TEA in a collar of thermal insulation, the collar configured to hold the vacuum flask by means of threads configured on the collar and the vacuum flask.

SMART CAP

A smart medication container cap for medication management and related devices, systems and methods for medication management are provided. The smart cap ensures ensuring accuracy in dispensing, prompts the user promoting compliance, collects information about the medication, transmits the information to a central server or LAN, determining container contents, locations, and surroundings, remotely manages the same, transmits alerts to the user, and communicates with a computer system for the same.

Apparatus and methods for storing and dispensing medications

An apparatus for automated storage and dispensing of medications. Medications are stored in one or more inventory storage foam storage plates attached to a frame of the apparatus. Medications are delivered to the apparatus via a locked delivery container. A carrier mechanism retrieves medications from the inventory storage container and delivery container and moves medications to various subsystems of the apparatus. Information related to medications is communicated to a remote pharmacist prior to dispensing the medication. Multiple installations of the apparatus are centrally coordinated.

Network-connected containers having medication stored therein

Introduced here are containers designed to promote compliance with regimens for administering the medications stored therein. These containers have various features that allow them to be more easily managed by the individuals to whom the medications were prescribed. Some features improve the ease with which containers communicate with individuals. These features may enable information to be more easily input by individuals and/or output for individuals in a comprehensible manner. Other features improve the mechanical or electrical durability of containers. Such features may enable the containers to be used by individuals over the course of several days, weeks, or months without worrying about structural damage or loss of power.
