Medication dispensing device and methods
A medication dispensing device may include a plurality of trays, each tray optionally including a load cell configured to measure a mass/weight of a medication contained in the respective tray. Each tray is placeable in a medication accessible position and a medication inaccessible position. The medication dispensing device includes a user interface configured to provide instructions and/or other information with regard to access for each medication. A processor provides instructions to selectively place each tray in the medication accessible position, and to determine, based on any change in the mass of the medication placed in the medication accessible position, whether the appropriate amount of the medication is removed from the tray.
Medication dispensing arrangement without scanning
A pharmacy tray for medications and medical items for patient treatment is placed onto a shelf that carries a grid of optical presence sensors. The location and identification of each item in the tray is recorded on a digital inventory for that tray. At the patient treatment site each item taken is recorded and the remaining inventory is updated without scanning the items.
SUPPLYING PATIENTS WITH MEDICAL EQUIPMENT FOR REMOTE MEDICAL INTERACTION WITH HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS
A method for supplying patients with medical equipment for remote medical interaction with healthcare providers is provided. The method includes storing a medical supply container within a storage assembly. The medical supply container including medical equipment. The method further includes receiving a first input through a user interface in communication with the storage assembly. The method also includes selectively providing access to the medical supply container based on the input received through the user interface to enable the medical supply container to be removed from the storage assembly for the use, repair, replacement, and/or cleaning of the medical supply container and/or the medical equipment included therein.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR USING SMART PILL BOTTLES TO DISPLAY PRESCRIPTION INFORMATION TO USERS
In some instances, a method performed by a smart pill bottle delivery device is provided. The method comprises determining one or more prescription timing intervals indicating times for the user to take one or more medication units of the medication based on retrieving a prescription for the user from memory, providing one or more visual notifications indicating for the user to take the one or more medication units based on the one or more prescription timing intervals, subsequent to providing the one or more visual notifications, detecting position information indicating an action performed by the user, and causing display of a second display screen based on the position information indicating the action performed by the user.
Imaging system for identifying medication containers
The imaging system includes a rotating element that is configured to rotate about a central axis. A plurality of scanners are fixedly attached with the rotating element. Each scanner has a lens that faces generally towards the central axis, and the scanners are spaced apart from one another around the central axis. The scanners are configured to identify an optically readable machine readable code contained on the medication container. An actuator is operably connected with the rotating element and is configured to rotate the rotating element and the scanners around the central axis from respective e first positions to respective second positions to allow the scanners to image different areas of the medication container in response to a failure of the scanners to identify the machine readable code when the scanners were in the respective first positions.
CANNABINOID-CONTAINING CONSUMER PRODUCT SYSTEMS, APPARATUS AND METHODS
The disclosure relates to an apparatus for making cannabinoid-containing beverages. The apparatus comprises at least one interface configured to receive a cartridge containing a cannabinoid-containing substance. The apparatus also comprises at least one valve, in fluid communication with the at least one interface, configured to dispense an amount of the substance from the cartridge. A valve controller is configured to control the valve in order to vary the amount of the substance dispensed by the valve.
Blister pack device and method
A container forming apparatus includes a plurality of forming members that have outer forming surfaces, which are shaped to form pockets in a sheet of material. A plurality of actuators are in mechanical connection with the forming members. The actuators are able to extend and retract the forming members. A controller is in electrical communication with the plurality of actuators. The controller is able to simultaneously extend any one or any combination of the forming members to create a plurality of pockets in a determined pattern in the sheet of material to produce a customized blister pack.
Smart medication dispensing system and method
A personalized medication dispensing system provides a practical, cost effective, and convenient way to optimize and individualize medical care. The system can be linked to the patient, doctors, insurers, pharmacies, and the like, via network communication protocols and techniques. The system can include a medication reservoir section and a medication dispensing section. The medication reservoir section includes one or more rotatable medication reservoirs. The system includes software configured to process and facilitate dispensing, treatments, data, monitoring, notifications, and trials, including treatment of specific medical conditions.
Infusion system and components thereof
Multi-medicament infusion systems prevent cross-channeling of medicaments. A system may include one or more of an infusion pump, medicament reservoirs, a multi-channel fluid conduit, and an infusion set. Medicament reservoirs and/or collars may be sized and shaped differently such that the medicament reservoirs can only be inserted into the system under selected configurations.
System and apparatus for item management
Item-management systems, apparatus, and methods are described, preferably for management of items such as medicaments. In embodiments, an item-management system comprises a container defining plural cells, a docking station configured to receive the container, sources of visible information to indicate the cell(s) into which an item is to be loaded, and at least one controller operable to control the visible information sources to indicate the cell into which the item is to be received.
