The system includes a tibial component of a knee joint implant, a tibial insert configured to be positioned against the superior side of the platform of the tibial component, a first femoral component of a knee joint implant, and a second femoral component of a knee joint implant.
MEDICATION ERROR DETECTION SYSTEM
Various embodiments are provided herein for checking proper inclusion and sequencing of drug modules in a combinatorial drug delivery device.
Blister Package, Method For Manufacturing Blister Package, And RF Device Using Blister Package
The present invention provides a blister package including a sheet in which pockets are formed, and a lid material sealing the sheet, wherein the sheet has a first pocket accommodating an RF tag and a second pocket accommodating an article at a position separated from the first pocket.
ELECTRONIC LABELING ARRANGEMENT, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING AN ELECTRONIC LABELING ARRANGEMENT, AND MEDICATION PACKAGE
An electronic labeling arrangement for attachment to a medication package includes a protective member, having a covering portion and cavities, and a predetermined formed protrusion; a conductor track film having conductor tracks and cavities, at least one conductor track being associated with each respective track film cavity so that the conductor track crosses the respective track film cavity at least in sections; and an electronic unit coupled to the conductor tracks and is arranged to detect a change in resistance of a respective conductor track. The protective member and the conductor track film are coupled such that the covering portion covers a track film top side, and the protective member cavities and the track film cavities are arranged one above the other and overlap at least in sections. The protrusion covers an underside of the conductor track film so that the covering portion and the protrusion surround the electronic unit.
Method for dispensing discrete medicaments, a test station for testing a feeder unit, and a method for determining a fill level of a feeder unit
The invention relates to a method for step dispensing discrete medicaments from a feeder unit, wherein the feeder unit comprises a container holding said medicaments, and a dispensing mechanism configured for receiving the medicaments from the container and selectively dispensing the medicaments from the feeder unit, wherein the dispensing mechanism comprises a singulating body with a plurality of singulation chambers; and a first release member arranged below the singulating body and provided with a release opening, wherein the first release member and the singulating body are movable with respect to each other, the method comprising the steps of: moving the singulating body and the first release member relative to each other into an aligned position in which one of the plurality of singulation chambers is aligned with the release opening; when the singulating body is in the aligned position, stopping relative movement between the singulating body and the first release member; maintaining the singulating body stationary with respect to the first release member for a predetermined waiting period to allow any medicaments accommodated in the aligned singulation chamber to fall through the release opening.
PHARMACEUTICAL COUNTING AND PACKAGING DEVICE
One embodiment provides a pharmaceutical counting device (160, 800) including a base portion (810) and a counting tray (830) provided on the base portion (810). The counting tray (830) is tilted about a first axis to empty medications into a first package and tiled above a second axis to empty medications into a second package. The pharmaceutical counting device (160, 800) also includes a camera system (950) to capture images of the counting tray (830), the packages, and a label on the packages. The pharmaceutical counting device (160, 800) verifies whether a correct number and type of medications are received on the counting tray (830).
DIRECT APPLICATION SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR THE DELIVERY OF BIOACTIVE COMPOSITIONS AND FORMULATIONS
The embodiments relate to improved skin quality, health and appearance using a new delivery method and certain bioactive compositions and formulations. The system incorporates microneedle delivery technology with unique compositions and formulations. Such development allows for the pursuit of personalized medicine, or treatment delivery that can expand to remote controlled environment, immediate compounding and ultimate personalization with a state of the art longitudinal data predictive analytics. Certain formulations described herein are unique, combinatory and synergistic. Secured by high-tech proprietary system, there are unlimited potentials using AQT technology including but not limited to 3-D printing of a biodegradable micro chips that can be delivered via injection, AQT or any other possible route.
SECURE SMART CONTAINER ASSEMBLY, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS
A mobile smart container system comprises a housing, an access component configured to secure access to a compartment within the housing when in a closed position, a communication interface configured to wirelessly receive a request to access the compartment, a perceivable output device, an electromechanical latch configured to engage with the access component to releasably lock the access component in the closed position, and a processor. The processor receives and authenticates the request to access the compartment and, in response to receiving and authenticating the request, activates the electromechanical latch to unlock the access component to make the compartment accessible, and outputs, upon actuation of the electromechanical latch, an alert via the perceivable output device to identify the smart container system.
MEDICATION SUPPORT APPARATUS AND MEDICATION SUPPORT SYSTEM
A medication support apparatus includes a storage, a medicine delivery part, an extraction device, a transfer device, a pack information reader, and processing circuitry. The storage stores a medicine pack with first medication-related information. The medicine pack is arranged at a specific position in the delivery part. The extraction device extracts the medicine pack from the storage. The transfer device transfers the medicine pack extracted from the storage to the specific position in the delivery part. The pack information reader reads the first medication-related information before the transfer device transfers the medicine pack extracted from the storage to the specific position in the delivery part. The processing circuitry manages second medication-related information of the medicine pack, and compares the first medication-related information read by the pack information reader with the second medication-related information to determine whether medication-related information matches between the first medication-related information and the second medication-related information.
PORTABLE ENTERAL FEEDING APPARATUS
An enteral feeding apparatus comprises a pod having an expansile pouch which defines a reservoir for enteral fluid and a gas impermeable barrier surrounding the pouch. The pod has an inlet port for delivery of enteral fluid into the pouch and an outlet port having a seal which is pierceable to release enteral fluid from the pouch for delivery to a PEG via a feeding line. The expansile pouch provides the sole force by which enteral fluid is delivered from the pouch through a regulator. The system can accommodate a range of enteral fluids with a wide range of viscosities.
