In some embodiments, the zirconium powder particles may be spherical particles, the zirconium powder particles may range from 5 microns to 125 microns in diameter, and/or the zirconium powder particles may have a median particle size ranging from 25 to 70 microns in diameter. The present disclosure further provides methods of producing medical implants or medical implant components by a process that comprises selectively applying energy to such zirconium powder particles to build the medical implants or the medical implant components. In some embodiments, the methods comprise repeatedly forming a layer of zirconium powder particles and irradiating the layer of zirconium powder particles with an energy source.
COMPOSITE MATERIAL AND HEAT DISSIPATION MEMBER
A composite material including a metallic phase and plurality of particles dispersed in the metallic phase. The plurality of particles is a carbon-based material; the metallic phase contains a main element, a first element, and a second element; the coating layer of each of the plurality of particles is carbide of the second element. The main element is copper; the first element is a metallic element having a lower surface tension than copper; the second element is at least one selected from the group consisting of beryllium, silicon, titanium, chromium, zirconium, niobium, hafnium, and tantalum.
Complex flow tube for fine sealing coating of PVC material for automobile and manufacturing method therefor
A complex flow tube for fine sealing coating of a PVC material for an automobile includes a base fixed to a mechanical arm, and a pipeline connected to the base for delivering a PVC sealant; the base is detachably butted with an interface of a PVC gluing pump mounted on the mechanical arm; the PVC gluing pump delivers the PVC sealant through the pipeline to a part to be coated or sealed of the automobile. The complex flow tube may be combined with the metal 3D printing technology, so that the manufactured complex flow tube has the advantages of being convenient to use, simple in structure, high in strength, not liable to break, etc.
Mechanically alloyed powder feedstock
Disclosed herein are embodiments of mechanically alloyed powder feedstock and methods for spheroidizing them using microwave plasma processing. The spheroidized powder can be used in metal injection molding processes, hot isostatic processing, and additive manufacturing. In some embodiments, mechanical milling, such as ball milling, can be used to prepare high entropy alloys for microwave plasma processing.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A TITANIUM FIRE-RESISTANT METAL COMPONENT BY ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING
A method for manufacturing a metal component includes the following steps: a shell made of a titanium-based material is provided, the shell having a first surface and a second surface remote from the first surface; a covering layer made of a titanium fire-resistant material is produced by additive manufacturing on the shell such that the covering layer at least partially covers the first surface and/or the second surface; and, after the additive manufacturing step, the metal component is heat treated at a temperature of between 200° C. and 1000° C.
PRODUCTION METHOD OF ALLOY MEMBER, ALLOY MEMBER, AND PRODUCT USING ALLOY MEMBER
A production method for an alloy member having mainly high hardness and high resistance to corrosion and produced by an additive manufacturing method, the alloy member, and a product using the alloy member are provided. The production method for an alloy member includes: an additive manufacturing step of forming a shaped member through an additive manufacturing method using an alloy powder containing elements Co, Cr, Fe, Ni, and Ti each in a range of 5 atom% to 35 atom% and containing Mo in a range exceeding 0 atom% and 8 atom% or less, the remainder being unavoidable impurities; and a heat treatment step of holding the shaped member in a temperature range higher than 500° C. and lower than 900° C. directly after the additive manufacturing step without undergoing a step of holding the shaped member in a temperature range of 1080° C. to 1180° C.
