The present disclosure relates to a bar loader and machine tool equipped with such bar loader, wherein the machine tool includes at least one workpiece spindle configured to receive an elongated workpiece, and the bar loader apparatus comprises, for each workpiece spindle of the machine tool being configured to move in a longitudinal direction being axially arranged with respect to the spindle axis of the respective workpiece spindle, a respective associated workpiece guide channel assembly for receiving and guiding a respective one of the elongated workpieces, and each respective workpiece guide channel assembly includes a fixed guide channel portion and at least one slidable guide channel portion, the at least one slidable guide channel portion being movable into the longitudinal direction of the spindle axis of the respective associated workpiece spindle.
Conveying device for conveying a workpiece
The invention relates to a transport device (38) for transporting a workpiece (23) between a clamping chuck (22) and a workpiece carrier (30). The transport device (38) comprises a gripper arrangement (39) with a pivot arm (40). One end of the pivot arm (40) is supported on the machine tool (20) and, in particular, a machine slide (25) via a first pivot drive (41) so as to be pivotable about a first pivot axis (S1). On the other end, the pivot arm (40) supports a second pivot drive (42) that defines a second pivot axis (S2). A workpiece gripper (43) is supported so as to be pivotable about this second pivot axis (S2). The two pivot axes are inclined by 45 relative to each other. A workpiece (23) held by the workpiece gripper (43) has a workpiece longitudinal axis (W) that extends in a first position (I) of the workpiece gripper (43) at a right angle with respect to the pivot axis (S1). In a second position (II) of the workpiece gripper (43), the workpiece longitudinal axis (W) is oriented parallel to the first pivot axis (S1). The workpiece longitudinal axis (W) of the workpiece (23) held by the workpiece gripper (43) is inclined by 45 relative to the second pivot axis (S2).

The invention relates to a multi-spindle lathe comprising a machine frame, a spindle drum mounted on the machine frame so as to be rotatable about a spindle drum axis, workpiece spindles each arranged in a spindle position on the spindle drum and each mounted to be rotatable relative to the spindle drum about a workpiece spindle axis, said workpiece spindles being positionable by rotating the spindle drum about the spindle drum axis into different spindle stations which are arranged statically relative to the machine frame, for machining workpieces arranged in said workpiece spindles, wherein associated with each workpiece spindle is a workpiece guide bushing for guidance of a material bar held in the workpiece spindle for long turning, said material bar being arranged movably relative to the respective workpiece spindle in a direction parallel to the workpiece spindle axis.

A quick coupling unit for bar loader clamps includes an end shaft that can be accommodated rotatably within a corresponding seat of a tubular body that is integral with the bar pusher of said loader and an element for stable coupling to the terminal stem of the respective clamp. The element includes a sleeve provided with a recess whose shape and dimensions are complementary to those of an insert which can be accommodated in said recess. The quick coupling unit also includes a locking ring having a variable inside diameter that surmounts said sleeve, the rotation of the ring to a first configuration defines clamping of the insert within the recess and locking of the stem, and to a second configuration defining radial freedom of the insert and free exit of the stem.

A lathe loading clamp for supporting bars includes a main body provided with a shaft for coupling to a rotating assembly, which is substantially tapered at one of its ends, and a cavity at the opposite end. The cavity accommodates, with a predefined axial play, a bush, made of material that is at least partially polymeric, which has an axial channel having a diameter that is substantially complementary to the diameter of the bar to be supported. The axial channel (6), in the configuration for use, accommodates a portion of a bar.

A lathe system capable of manufacturing a long product from a bar by performing a grip change by a spindle during a machining cycle, the long product being of a length exceeding a movable range of the spindle, the spindle releasably gripping the bar and moving in a Z1-axis direction of the bar. The lathe system includes a pusher capable of moving in the Z1-axis direction together with the bar. The lathe system further includes a bar length shortage prior determination unit that determines whether the pusher is in a position permitting the grip change to be performed during the machining cycle. The determination is made prior to the start of the machining cycle.
