In one aspect tool holder assemblies are described herein. Such tool holder assemblies can employ outer and inner spring-like members. For example, a tool holder assembly described herein comprises a drawbar having an outer diameter surface and an inner diameter surface defining an interior of the drawbar. The drawbar is movable or actuatable along a longitudinal axis between a locked position and an unlocked position. The tool holder assembly can further comprise a first spring-like member positioned around the outer diameter surface of the drawbar and a second spring-like member positioned in the drawbar interior.

Blocking device of tool-holder on lathes
10160044 · 2018-12-25 · ·

A blocking device of tool-holders on lathes, especially for the rapid and precise blocking of tool-holders on CNC (Computer Numerical Control), single spindle or multi-spindle lathes as well as on transfer machines, milling centres of any kind and, in general, on machine tools which perform machining by chip removal, is paired with a tool-holder, motorized or non-motorized, connected to the existing support on said lathes and comprises an anchoring pawl provided with a female truncated-cone shaped recess. Said pawl is moved vertically with respect to the longitudinal axis of said tool-holder by mechanical or hydraulic means driven to engage said female, truncated-cone shaped recess with an inclined, male truncated-cone appendage made on said tool-holder.

CLAMPING ASSEMBLY FOR A TOOLHOLDER ASSEMBLY

A clamping assembly includes a base member having an internal bore, a lock rod within the internal bore of the base member and moveable between an unlocked position and a locked position, the lock rod including a lock rod cam surface and a first bearing, a crank wheel having an axis of rotation and a third bearing, and a linkage including a second bearing comprising an elongated cavity formed in an outer surface, a fourth bearing and a cam surface at one end thereof.

AUTOMATIC DEVICE FOR LOCKING TOOL-HOLDERS ON LATHES AND MACHINES WHICH PERFORM MACHINING WITH CHIP REMOVAL
20180326511 · 2018-11-15 ·

An automatic device for locking of tool holders (12) on lathes and machinery performing machining by chip removal, particularly suitable to be used on multi-spindle and single spindle CNC lathes, on transfer machines, milling centres of any kind and, in general, on all types of machine tools which perform machining by chip removal, comprises a support body (14) anchored to the machine tool and surmounted by a plate (16), said device comprises, for each of said tool-holders (12), a pawl (18) provided with a female truncated-cone recess (24), cooperating with a nut screw (36) and moved automatically vertically to engage in contact with a truncated cone collar appendage (40) made in a recess (38) in the rear (12). The movement in the vertical direction of the pawls (18) is produced by means of individual motors (46), equipped with a shaft (48) which protrudes from their lower face and engages to the upper end of said nut screw (36).

TOOLHOLDER ASSEMBLY WITH LOCK ROD

A toolholder assembly includes a toolholder having a rearwardly facing toolholder shank, a base member having a bore configured for receiving the toolholder shank, a canister configured for receipt in the bore of the base member, a lock rod with an axial forward and an axial rearward end, wherein the axial forward end of the lock rod includes a compression void such as a compression aperture or compression slot formed therethrough, and at least one locking member in communication with the axial forward end of the lock rod.

Clamping Device and Machining Unit Comprising Such a Clamping Device

A clamping device for clamping a workpiece or a tool or, more specifically, a tool holding fixture in a machine part of a machine tool includes a tension rod slidably mounted within the machine part; a clamping set movable by the tension rod between clamped and released positions; a tension spring dedicated to the tension rod so as to generate the pull-in force of the clamping set; and a release mechanism, by which the clamping set can be moved against the force of the tension spring into the released position by the tension rod. To make possible effective clamping at optimum force, the tension spring is clamped between first and second rod parts of the tension rod. The second rod part can move relative to the first rod part, and, as the clamping set moves into the released position, is compressed on both ends by the release mechanism by moving the two rod parts in opposite directions.

CLAMP STRUCTURE OF CUTTING INSERT AND INDEXABLE CUTTING TOOL

A cutting insert has a surface to be pressed and a surface to be restrained. A supporter has a supporter main body, an elastically deformable gripping arm, a pocket, and a slit. The supporter main body has a restraining surface that comes into contact with the surface to be restrained. The gripping arm has a pressing surface that comes into contact with the surface to be pressed. The slit has a pocket opening that is open to the pocket. The pocket opening is disposed between the restraining surface and the pressing surface.

CUTTING HEAD HAVING ROTATIONALLY ASYMMETRIC COUPLING PIN, TOOL SHANK AND CUTTING TOOL
20240316653 · 2024-09-26 · ·

A cutting tool includes a cutting head and a tool shank, each having an axial abutment surface. One of the two includes a coupling pin, while the other includes a pin receptacle and a clamping through bore that opens out to the pin receptacle. The coupling pin has an engagement groove and the pin receptacle has an engagement ridge. The coupling pin is received into the pin receptacle. The cutting head and tool shank are releasably attached together by a fastening member that passes through the clamping through bore and acts on the coupling pin so that the engagement groove abuts the engagement ridge and the axial abutment surfaces on each part abut each other.
