The jig includes a frame with a first leg positionable adjacent to a first side of a door panel, and a second leg positionable adjacent to a second side of the door panel. The first and second legs are operably coupled with each other by an intermediate portion designed to abut an edge of the door panel. The first leg includes a guide insert for forming a doorhandle borehole, and the intermediate portion includes a guide for forming a latch borehole. The guide insert includes a hole saw guide aperture with a hole saw teeth clearance region and a hole saw guide region, the latter of which has a smaller diameter than the former.

JIG APPARATUS FOR USE IN FORMING HOLES IN A WORKPIECE IN A GUIDED MANNER AND A METHOD OF USE OF THE SAME

The invention relates to apparatus for use with a drill bit which is driven to rotate so as to form a hole in a workpiece with which the same is contacted. The apparatus includes guide means with which the drill bit is located and a body with which the workpiece is located and said guide means is movable with respect to the body to cause the drill bit to be advanced along a path which includes an arc portion and, as it is driven to rotate, move into the workpiece to form said hole and allow the hole to be formed in a guided manner with greater accuracy.

Tool assembly, system, and method for transferring locations and dimensions of a pattern of holes

There is provided a tool assembly for transferring locations and dimensions of a pattern of holes from a first structure to a second structure. The tool assembly has a transfer plate with a transfer plate pattern of transfer plate holes that include a plurality of oversize holes and two transfer plate index holes. The transfer plate pattern is substantially identical to the pattern in the first structure. The tool assembly has one or more alignment elements installed in the plurality of oversize holes. Each alignment element has a through opening in a coaxial alignment with the oversize hole. The oversize hole allows formation of an alignment variation gap between an exterior of the alignment element and an inner wall of the oversize hole. The tool assembly has one or more holding elements coupled to the transfer plate, each with a central through opening in coaxial alignment with the oversize hole.

DRILL BIT HOLDING ASSEMBLY FOR JIG AND JIG APPARATUS INCLUDING THE SAME

The invention relates to a drill hold assembly and a jig including the same. The drill hold assembly includes an engaging means which is selectively moveable between a released position to allow sliding movement of the drill bit with respect thereto and an engaged position in which the drill bit is held in a fixed position or within a predefined range of movement with respect to the engaging block to thereby maintain the drill bit in location with the drill hold assembly. The jig apparatus can be used with a powered drill to rotate the drill bit to provide a driving force to the drill bit and the jig is attached to a support surface and a workpiece is positioned between first and second jaws of the jig and the drill bit is advanced along a guide and introduced into the workpiece to form a hole therein at a predefined angle. The drill bit can then be removed from the hole and the drill bit is held by the drill hold assembly to retain the drill bit in a fixed position with respect to the jig to thereby allow relative movement of the jig apparatus and workpiece whilst the drill bit is retained in position with the jig apparatus.

Jig assembly

A jig assembly structured to facilitate attachment of a device to a door including a base having oppositely disposed first and second end segments and an open interior, including first and second open faces. The open interior and the open faces are disposed between the end segments and are cooperatively structured therewith to receive a portion of the door in an operative position therein. A clamp member is movably connected to the first end segment and is least partially disposable into said open interior in clamping relation to the door portion, when in the operative portion. The second end segment is disposed and structured to receive passage therethrough of a tool, from an exterior to and interior of the base, into engaging relation with the door portion disposed in the operative position and into an interior channel of the clamp member.

POCKET HOLE JIG

A pocket hole jig includes a base with a body and a guide holder extending from the body. A clamp assembly is coupled to the base and includes a carriage movable relative to the base and a clamp arm coupled to the carriage. The pocket hole jig also includes a drill guide assembly supported by the guide holder and having a slanted bore configured to receive a drill bit to facilitate drilling a pocket hole in a workpiece. Movement of the carriage relative to the base in a first direction moves the drill guide assembly in a second direction different than the first direction.

MORTISING JIG

A mortising jig and associated components and methods for cutting a mortise in a workpiece. The jig includes a guide assembly for locating and moving a drill bit of a drilling tool relative to the workpiece. The guide assembly includes a guide rail and a guide. The guide includes a guide carriage movably mounted on the guide rail for movement along the guide rail and a drill bit support. The drill bit support is movable with the guide carriage. The drill bit support includes a rest arranged to locate the drill bit of the drilling tool relative to the workpiece. The drill bit support is movable relative to the guide carriage to change a distance between the rest and the guide carriage.

HOLE DRILLING JIG APPARATUS

The current invention relates to jig apparatus which is provided of a form to allow accurate positioning and repositioning of the same with respect to workpiece and the use of the jig apparatus to provide a guide for the provision of a drill bit through at least one guide passages therein to form a hole in the workpiece at a required location. In one embodiment the jig apparatus is provided in a form so as to provide a plurality of passages, each of which can be used as a guide for a drill bit to thereby allow a plurality of spaced apart drill holes to be formed in the workpiece without the need to move the jig apparatus with respect to the workpiece. In one embodiment guide means are provided which are selectively positionable by the user in order to allow the position of the jig apparatus with respect to the workpiece to be accurately defined and retained by the user.

POSITIONING JIG
