Fastener and Method for Fastening to Associated Structural Assembly
A fastener for fastening a drill jig to overlapping work pieces and clamping the overlapping work pieces for facilitating accurate drilling of the overlapping work pieces including a fastener body and a damper assembly operatively connected to the fastener body. The damper assembly is configured to enable application of a first load to the drill jig, and the fastener body is configured to enable application of a second load to the overlapping work pieces when the fastener fastens the drill jig to the overlapping work pieces. The first load is less than the second load. The first load is sufficient to hold the drill jig to the overlapping work pieces during drilling but without causing significant deformation of the drill jig. The second load is sufficient to reduce the formation of burrs during drilling of a hole through the overlapping working pieces.
ADJUSTABLE BUSHING ASSEMBLY FOR HOLE LOCATION AND DRILLING
A drill template includes a tooling plate defining a first aperture extending through the plate along a first axis. The template also includes an adjustable bushing assembly having an outer eccentric element arranged rotatably inside the first aperture and defining a second aperture disposed along a second axis. The template additionally includes an inner eccentric element arranged rotatably inside the second aperture and defining a third aperture disposed along a third axis. The first, second, and third axes are spaced apart from each other. The template also includes a drill bushing arranged inside the third aperture and defining a fourth aperture disposed along a fourth axis. The bushing is configured to swivel relative to the inner eccentric element to orient the fourth aperture relative to the tooling plate. The template further includes a system of fasteners for setting the bushing position relative to the plate for guiding a drill bit.
Mounting Bracket Template Support and Method
A template positioning device for use in preparing a cabinet for mounting of an under-cabinet microwave includes a panel, which is substantially rigid, rectangular, and planar. The panel overlays and is removably attached to a template that is used in mounting an under-cabinet microwave, with a first edge of the panel being aligned with a rear edge of the template. The panel has a plurality of cutouts positioned therein, with respective cutouts allowing access to associated mounting indicators of the template. The panel facilitates proper positioning of the template in abutment to an underside of a cabinet, using one hand, with the first edge of the panel against a wall to which the cabinet is mounted. The device allows a user to use their other hand to drill holes corresponding to respective mounting indicators.
System and method for driving a power tool into a substrate using a negative pressure produced by a suction device
A system includes a power tool and a suction device that is connected to the power tool via a suction hose. The power tool is drivable into a wall or into a substrate by a negative pressure produced by the suction device. A method includes driving the power tool into the wall or into the substrate by using the negative pressure produced by the suction device that is connected to the power tool via the suction hose.
Wiring Box for Power Generation System
A wiring box comprising a housing and a cover for electrically connecting between multiple power devices of a building is disclosed. The housing may include a ground bar for connecting the ground of multiple power devices. The housing may include cut-outs for fittings between the wiring box and the power devices. The cut-outs may be configured to allow different configurations of power devices, e.g., different size and shape of power devices at the same location on the housing. Different orientations may allow different spatial relationships between the power devices. For example, in a first orientation, an inverter may be positioned to the left of a backup interface unit above the wiring box, and in a second orientation, the inverter may be positioned to the right of the backup interface unit above the wiring box. The wiring box may include recesses for positioning drill hole alignment tools.
SELF-ADJUSTING POCKET HOLE JIG SYSTEM
A self-adjusting pocket hole jig system is presented having a base, an upright assembly operably connected to the base, a clamp and drill guide assembly operably connected to the upright assembly, and an actuator assembly operably connected to the clamp and drill guide assembly. The clamp and drill guide assembly is configured to move along the upright assembly in response to movement of a handle of the actuator assembly upward and downward. Movement of the handle downward automatically adjusts the height of the clamp and drill guide assembly based on thickness of the workpiece for drilling of a pocket hole. In one or more arrangements, rotation of the handle downward from a non-clamping position to a clamping position simultaneously locks the clamp and drill guide assembly in place along the upward assembly and clamps the workpiece between the clamp and drill guide assembly and a backstop of the base.
Self-adjusting pocket hole jig
A pocket hole jig utilizes a pair of adjustable drill guides attached at the front of a movable carriage to enable self-adjustment in pocket hole placement over a range of workpiece thicknesses. The carriage is slidably received on an angled base member and may be moved toward or away from a vertical base member used to support wooden workpieces. A locking mechanism retains the carriage in its adjusted position. The pair of drill guides are adjustably positioned towards or away from one another and relative to the pocket hole jig axis of symmetry, locating the pair of pocket hole drilling locations.
Match drilling tool, system and method
A match drilling tool comprising a body comprising a drilling leg and a fixing leg, said drilling leg being separated from said fixing leg by a gap, wherein said drilling leg defines a cutter guide opening, and wherein said fixing leg defines an alignment pin opening, said alignment pin opening being concentric with said cutter guide opening; and an alignment pin slideably received in said alignment pin opening.
Drilling worktable for manufacturing tube support plates and method of manufacturing tube support plates using the same
The present disclosure relates to a drilling worktable for manufacturing tube support plates of a steam generator constituting a primary system of a nuclear power plant. The drilling worktable includes a plate having a drill insertion groove formed to face a position at which a heat transfer tube insertion hole is drilled in a member to be processed. In addition, the present disclosure relates to a method of manufacturing tube support plates using the drilling worktable for manufacturing tube support plates. The method includes fixing the member to be processed after locating the member to be processed on the upper surface of the seating section, and drilling the heat transfer tube insertion hole in the member to be processed using a drill unit.
MINI POCKET HOLE JIG SYSTEM
A pocket hole jig system is formed of a plurality of jig segments, wherein each jig segment includes a main body having a drill guide and a lock feature that protrudes outward on a first side of the main body and a recess that protrudes inward on a second side of the main body. The system also includes one or more spacers that have a main body of varying width and a lock feature that protrudes outward on a first side of the main body and a recess that protrudes inward on a second side of the main body. Jig segments and spacers may be connected together by inserting the lock feature of a jig segment or spacer into the recess of an adjacent jig segment or spacer. In one arrangement opposing jig segments and/or spacers lock together with a combination of rotational movement as well as sliding movement.
