Hole saw assembly
A device for more efficient coupling and de-coupling of a hole saw to an arbor. A hole saw has a bottom wall with a central threaded hole. The arbor's clamping device has first and second thread-engaging parts for engaging the internal thread in the hole saw's bottom hole. The thread-engaging parts are moveable with respect to one another perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the hole saw. When the thread-engaging parts are in a first, disengaged position, the clamping device allows retraction from or insertion into the hole saw's bottom hole substantially longitudinally. When the thread-engaging parts are in a second or engaged position having a larger circumference, the clamping device engages the internal thread in the hole saw's bottom hole for clamping the clamping device in the hole. The clamping device used in the hole saw provides a quick-coupling for mounting a hole saw on an arbor.
Pipe core sampling and tapping apparatus
A core sampling and tapping assembly is disclosed that may be mounted to a cylindrical pipe. The assembly includes a nozzle having an interior portion extending between an open distal end and a proximal end. The proximal end sealed to an upper saddle member and the upper saddle member coupled to a lower saddle member to clamp the pipe in between. The assembly further includes a tapping mandrel including a mandrel plate, the tapping mandrel extending through the interior portion and a core cutter fixedly coupled to the mandrel plate. The assembly further includes a pilot bit coupled to the mandrel plate and disposed within an interior cavity of the core cutter. The tapping mandrel adjacently aligns the core cutter and the pilot bit with an outer surface of the pipe and subsequently rotates the pilot bit and core cutter to collect a core sample from the pipe.
Hole saw arbor
A hole saw arbor with mechanically automated plug removal to automatically remove the center plug of debris following drilling with the hole saw. A slidable collar is placed in an upper position on a threaded shaft to drill with the hole saw, and slid to a lower position on the threaded shaft for automated function of an ejection plate to rise within the hole saw to slowly eject a plug of removed material.
Modular flywheel holesaw system
A flat flywheel body fabricated by water jet cutting has radial spoke pairs with a display hanger slot in between and flywheel weights circumferentially extending at their peripheral ends. Resilient thin attachment rims for the saw blades are circumferentially connecting the flywheel weights and provide together with them a continuous peripheral sliding surface. A two piece arbor is connected to a central continuous spline of the flywheel body. The peripheral saw blades are bent into concentric curvature by radially clamping them onto the blade attachment rims.
Hole saw guide
A general purpose hole saw guide and a method of forming holes through surfaces, without the need of a centering bit, are provided. The hole saw guide includes a circular disk with concentric grooves on its surface. The disk is transparent and portable for placement on a surface through which a hole is to be drilled to facilitate the centering and stabilizing control of a hole saw on the surface. The method includes the steps of providing a transparent disk having concentric grooves; positioning the disk on a surface; mounting the disk to the surface; inserting a hole saw that is fitted to a drill into the grooves of the disk; drilling a hole through the disk and surface beneath it; and removing the disk from the surface after the hole has been drilled.
HOLE SAW GUIDE
A general purpose hole saw guide and a method of forming holes through surfaces, without the need of a centering bit, are provided. The hole saw guide includes a circular disk with concentric grooves on its surface. The disk is transparent and portable for placement on a surface through which a hole is to be drilled to facilitate the centering and stabilizing control of a hole saw on the surface. ARRANGEMENT COMPOSED OF AT LEAST ONE DRILL BIT AND AT LEAST ONE LIMIT STOP
An arrangement includes at least one drill bit and at least one limit stop for a drilling core, or parts of a drilling core, forming in the course of drilling. The at least one limit stop has at least one fluid opening transverse to an axis of rotation of the at least one drill bit, and the at least one limit stop has a central through-hole for receiving a centering pin.
Helical tunneling and fixation device
The helical tunneling device is a tool for tunneling along helical or spiral paths. Further, the tool may be used as a fixation device along helical/spiral paths, for connecting different surfaces or joints. Furthermore, the device includes associated instrumentation needed for creating such a helical path. In one embodiment, the device uses a woven flexible shaft in a helical tube to transmit rotational motion to a cutting tool. The helical tube may then be rotated independently to advance the cutting tool along a helical trajectory. In another embodiment, the device may advance helically into the created tunnel to engage, couple, and fix the relative positions of both bodies through which a continuous helical tunnel is created. Thus, the helical tunneling device is a simple and efficient tool that may be beneficial for wood working, orthopedics, metal manufacturing etc.
Quick Release Adapter
A quick release adapter for operating an application tool on a portable power tool includes a drive shaft and a receiving portion. The drive shaft is configured to be arranged in a tool receptacle of the portable power tool. The receiving portion is connected to the drive shaft and is provided with an internal receptacle. The internal receptacle is configured to receive an output shaft. The output shaft has an internal receptacle for receiving an application tool. The internal receptacle of the output shaft is configured at least regionally in a sleeve-like manner and at least regionally has an internal protruding part. The application tool has an at least regionally cylindrical shank with at least one external flat region adapted to the at least one internal protruding part.
