Hole saw assembly
A hole saw assembly is revealed. The hole saw assembly is a hole saw with a quick change drill rod. The hole saw assembly includes a quick release device and the drill rod, both arranged at the hole saw. The drill rod is inserted through the quick release device and the quick release device is for fastening and releasing a drill head of the drill rod. Thereby the drill rod is fitted over the quick release device and users can fasten and release the drill rod quickly. Users can also quickly mount a shank of the drill rod quickly into the hole saw. The drill rod is fast slid out of the quick release device for replacement of a new drill rod. Then the shank is locked on the hole saw so that the shank and the hole saw can rotate synchronously.
Drill bit with an exchangeable cutting portion
A drill bit which is rotatable about a drilling axis is disclosed. The drill bit has a drill shaft section having a first plug-connecting element and a cutting section having a second plug-connecting element. The first plug-connecting element and the second plug-connecting element form a plug connection. The cutting section includes a plurality of cutting subsections each having a ring subsection and at least one cutting segment, wherein each ring subsection together with the first plug-connecting element forms the plug connection and is connectable to the first plug-connecting element by a pin connection.
Quick release rotary tool mandrel
A quick connect/disconnect mechanism for a rotary bit having a central mounting hole at a proximal end includes a shaft extending axially and having a proximal end adapted to be releasably secured in a rotary tool and a distal end having a spud extending distally and axially therefrom. A collet has a plurality of retainer arms arrayed circularly about the axis and extending distally, each retainer arm including a catch extending radially outwardly from a distal end thereof. A support ring extends about the shaft adjacent to said distal end thereof, the support ring being translatable from a first position in which the retainer arms extend freely distally and are deflectable sufficiently to be inserted through the central mounting hole of a rotary bit; to a second position in which the support ring and collet translate proximally and the spud extends distally to engage the retainer arms so they cannot deflect and release the rotary bit.
Hole-saw
A hole-saw comprises a cylindrical body, a plate, a mandrel, and a clamping member. A cutting edge is formed at an open end of the body and is disposed about the body's rotational axis. The plate is disposed at an opposite end of the body, is rotationally coupled to the body, and is oriented perpendicular to the body's rotational axis. The plate has lateral slots formed through the plate and lateral grooves formed in the plate's distal surface in an orientation transverse to the slots. The mandrel's proximal section forms an arbor shaft, and its distal section includes lateral bosses sized to insert through the plate's slots and rest in the plate's grooves. The clamping member has a body that is movable along the mandrel's longitudinal axis to engage the plate's proximal surface and clamp the plate between the clamping member and the bosses resting in the plate's grooves.
ADJUSTABLE DIAMETER HOLE CUTTER
A hole cutter assembly is operable to cut a plurality of different sized diameter holes in a work piece. The hole cutter assembly includes an arbor configured to connect to a power tool for rotation about an axis, and a body coupled to the arbor for rotation with the arbor. The body defines an aperture. The hole cutter assembly includes a drill bit removably received in the aperture of the body for rotation with the arbor, an arm moveably coupled to the body, and a cutting blade coupled to the arm and moveable with the arm relative to the body. The arm is moveable relative to the body to adjust a cutting diameter of the hole cutter assembly when the drill bit is not received within the aperture. The arm is fixed relative to the body when the drill bit is received within the aperture.
Intelligent Saw Guides for a Saw Arbor Guide Assembly
In a saw arbor guide assembly, saw guides include a sensor and one or more connector units. The connector units may be proximate to one or both of the head surfaces, with the connector units receiving data from the sensor. The connector units communicate with other connector units located on adjacent saw guides within the stack. The communications comprise data received from the sensor. The primary and secondary guide manifolds are arranged at opposite ends of the stack. The primary and second guide manifolds include manifold connectors. The manifold connectors on the primary guide manifold communicate with the connector units on a first saw guide in the stack. The manifold connectors on the secondary guide manifold communicate with the connector units on a last saw guide in the stack. The server communicates with the manifold connectors in one or both of the primary guide manifold and the secondary guide manifold.
Hole saw
A hole saw includes a circular saw blade and a cover plate. The circular saw blade is made by rounding a lengthwise rectangular metal sheet and connecting two ends thereof to define therein an accommodating space. The circular saw blade has one edge provided with a plurality of sawteeth and an opposite edge provided with a connecting portion. The cover plate covers the connecting portion of the circular saw blade and has a base, a positioning portion and a shoulder. The positioning portion extends from the base toward the connecting portion. The shoulder is formed between the base and the positioning portion. Thereby, the hole saw has advantages about low manufacturing costs and short production cycle. Besides, since the shoulder increases contacting area between the circular saw blade and the cover plate, the structural firmness of the soldered hole saw is improved.
Bolt on drive assembly for a core drill with high strength spoked reinforcer
A bolt on drive assembly for a core drill which utilizes an improved high strength spoked reinforcer mounted beneath a disc. The disc and high strength spoke reinforcer are removably mounted on the tube by bolt fasteners. A drive connection is removably mounted and centrally located on a outer disc of the pair of discs. The drive connection is adapted to connect with a drive shaft to cause rotation of the tube. The system can also include a split in the disc when the high strength spoked reinforcer is not welded thereto thereby providing a means of water control. The high strength spoked reinforcer can be a separate piece that is bolted to the disc or can be integrally formed as one piece therewith. An adapter is provided that allows for standard drilling that fits into a recess in the center hub and is removable to expose the recess for attachment to a specialized drill motor, such as an A-flange.
SELF-CLEANING MANDREL ASSEMBLY AND DRILL BIT
A mandrel assembly for attaching a hole saw and a pilot drill bit to an electric drill is disclosed. The mandrel assembly has a self-clearing feature that removes the plug without removing the mandrel from the drill chuck. The mandrel assembly includes a threaded shaft having a first end for attachment to a drill chuck, and a second end for receiving hole saw. The hole saw has a base disposed toward the chamfered end with the base having an opening therethrough and an ejection rod disposed substantially parallel to the threaded shaft between the chamfered end and the base. The ejection rod matingly engages and passes through the opening. When the drill bit is reversed, the ejection rod enters the interior space of the hole saw and clears the plug from the interior space of the hole saw.
