Method of forming an aperture in a reel member of a tensioning system for an article of footwear
A method of chamfering an aperture in a reel member of a tensioning system for an article of footwear is disclosed. The tensioning system includes a reel member configured to rotate about a central axis. The reel member includes a shaft and at least one flange disposed along the shaft. The flange includes an aperture extending through the flange. The aperture is configured to receive a lace. The reel member can tighten the tensioning system by winding the lace around portions of the shaft disposed on both sides of the at least one flange. The method of chamfering the aperture includes drilling through an end flange of the reel member to reach the center flange of the reel member in order to chamfer the aperture. The chamfered aperture can assist with sliding the lace through the aperture and distributing tension.
DRILL AND DRILLING DEVICE INCLUDING THE SAME
Provided is a drill that can drill with good accuracy without over-processing during deburring. The drill includes: a drill main body that is rotated around a central axis; a main cutting edge provided at a leading end of the drill main body; and a deburring cutting edge that is provided on a base end side of the drill main body, adjacent to the main cutting edge, and performs deburring. The deburring cutting edge is similar in diameter to the main cutting edge and has an angle () smaller than an angle () formed by the main cutting edge relative to the central axis.
AXIALLY AND RADIALLY COMPLIANT DEBURRING TOOL
An axially and radially compliant deburring tool holds a commercially available end tool holder, which in turn holds a variety of commercially available interchangeable deburring end tools, such as those commercially available for the hand deburring market. The axially and radially compliant deburring tool exhibits axial compliance in response to an external force by allowing a longitudinal sleeve holding the end tool holder to move longitudinally along a longitudinal axis of the tool, against a bias force. The axially and radially compliant deburring tool exhibits radial compliance in response to an external force by interaction between a cam contact member and a concave cam surface, both under the bias force and hence operative to return the commercially available to a centered, extended position in the absence of external forces.
Deburring tool and method for deburring a hole
A deburring tool includes a shank attached at a first end to a chuck and a working portion at a second end of the shank. The working portion includes a first end portion closest to and joining the second end of the shank at a first end of the first end portion, a second end portion furthest from the shank, and an intermediate portion disposed between the first end portion and the second end portion, a first end of the intermediate portion joining a second end of the first end portion and a second end of the intermediate portion joining a first end of the second end portion. The intermediate portion tapers continuously from a largest diameter at the first end of the intermediate portion to a smallest diameter at the second end of the intermediate portion, and deburring cutter members provided on the second end portion adjacent the second end of the intermediate portion.

A deburring tool with a deburring blade (9) for deburring borehole edges (3, 6) that have a straight or un-round shape, consisting of a base body (12) which is rotatably driven about its longitudinal axis (50), and at the lower end of which at least one blade holder (20) with at least one deburring blade (9) secured therein is mounted on a blade bearing (27) on the side of the base body so as to swivel vertically, and on the outer periphery of the blade holder (20) a control groove (31) which is open radially outward is arranged, into which the freely flexible end (30a) of a flexible spring (30) engages, the other end of said spring being clamped to the base body (12), wherein during the deburring process, the deburring blade (9) is swiveled away from the base body (12) at an angle (51, 52, 53) in relation to the longitudinal axis of the base body (12), and the blade axis (55) of the deburring blade (9) rests, spring-loaded, with its at least one cutting edge (39) against the borehole edge (3, 6) to be deburred, and executes spring-loaded swiveling movements that follow the contour of the borehole edge (3, 6) as the deburring tool is rotated, wherein the blade axis (55) of the deburring blade (9), in the home position in which it is swiveled away from the base body, forms an angled swivel position (52, 53) that deviates from the 90-degree position, and in that a backstop is assigned to the deburring blade (9), which prevents it from swiveling back into the position in which it is swiveled at a 90-degree angle from the base body (12).
Miniaturized deburring and/or chamfering tool with internal cooling
Miniaturized deburring and/or chamfering tool with a cylindrical guide sleeve (2) in which a blade holder base body (5) is arranged in an exchangeable manner, which has at least one receiving slot (20) for receiving and guiding a blade (6) arranged there, which is leaf-shaped and designed so that it can bend along its longitudinal axis, and which, at its free front end, has a cutting head (7) with a deburring or chamfering blade arranged there, wherein an internal cooling of the blade (6) and removal of shavings from the blade (6) are achieved by the fact that the coolant flows around the blade (6) in the receiving slot (20) on at least two facing sides.
