Reciprocating saw

A power tool includes a housing, a motor, and a drive mechanism. The drive mechanism includes a driven gear that is rotated by the motor. The driven gear is vertically-oriented within the housing and has an upper portion and a lower portion. The drive mechanism also includes a connecting rod coupled to the driven gear to translate rotary motion of the driven gear into reciprocating motion, and an output shaft coupled to the connecting rod to reciprocate relative to the housing through a cutting stroke and a return stroke. The drive mechanism further includes a counterweight coupled to the driven gear for rotation with the driven gear. The counterweight moves through the upper portion of the driven gear during the cutting stroke of the output shaft, and moves through the lower portion of the driven gear during a return stroke of the output shaft.

Blade for a reciprocating saw

A blade is usable with a reciprocating saw. The blade includes an attachment portion configured to couple to the reciprocating saw and a body extending from the attachment portion. The body includes a first profile portion and a second profile portion extending from the first profile portion. The second profile portion has a height less than a height of the first profile portion. The blade also includes a plurality of teeth formed on the body and defining a toothed cutting edge. The blade also includes a tip portion formed at a distal end of the second profile portion and terminating in a pointed tip. The pointed tip is configured to punch a hole through the workpiece and includes a toothless cutting edge extending substantially parallel to the toothed cutting edge. The toothless cutting edge extends from the toothed cutting edge to the pointed tip.

Cutting tool

A motor housing of housings forming an outer casing of a tool main body is provided with two battery attachment portions allowing attachment of rechargeable batteries. The two battery attachment portions are configured as slide attachment type battery attachment portions. The two battery attachment portions are suited to slide attachment type rechargeable batteries that are attached through sliding. The two rechargeable batteries are attached in the right-left direction of the tool main body so that the two rechargeable batteries can be arranged side by side in the direction in which the tool main body extends.

A reciprocating tool includes a motor, a crank, a connecting rod, a rod, a tool bit, and a counter weight. The tool bit is mounted such that the action portion is positioned on a side opposite to a side with the rod central axis or the extended line of the rod central axis viewing from the rotational center of the crank. The first eccentric shaft and the second eccentric shaft are disposed such that at a position where the first eccentric shaft causes the rod to reach top dead center (TDC), the second eccentric shaft causes the counter weight to reach bottom dead center (BDC) or a point before the BDC, and at a position where the first eccentric shaft causes the rod to reach the BDC, the second eccentric shaft causes the counter weight to reach a point before the TDC.

Working machine

A power tool includes a prime mover, an output shaft that extends along a first direction and retains a tip tool and is driven by the prime mover, a support member that supports the output shaft to be drivable, a gear that rotates around an axis extending in a second direction crossing the first direction and transmits a power of the prime mover to the output shaft, and a gear cover that accommodates the gear and the support member. Inside the gear cover, a lubricant retention portion capable of retaining a lubricant is arranged at a side of the support member, and the lubricant retention portion is partitioned from a gear accommodation portion that accommodates a gear by a wall extending in a direction intersecting an extending direction of the output shaft in the gear cover.
