Band saw blade with repeating back edge pattern and related method
A band saw blade may include a cutting edge defining a cutting plane and configured to engage a workpiece during movement of the band saw blade in a cutting direction, and a back edge located on an opposite side of the band saw blade relative to the cutting edge and defining a repeating back edge pattern. The back edge pattern may include, in sequential order, a ramp-down section defining an acute ramp-down angle relative to a plane parallel to the cutting plane, a first ramp-up section defining a first acute ramp-up angle relative to the plane parallel to the cutting plane, an intermediate section oriented at least substantially parallel to the cutting plane, a second ramp-up section defining a second acute ramp-up angle relative to the plane parallel to the cutting plane, and a spacing section oriented at least substantially parallel to the cutting plane.
RADIAL SAW BLADE AND HUB FOR OSTEOTOMY
A saw blade includes a main body having a first surface, a second surface on an opposite side of the main body from the first surface, a proximal edge portion, a distal edge portion, and first and second side portions extending between the proximal and distal edge portions. The proximal edge portion is configured to be coupled to a rotatable hub such that the saw blade is held in a curved shape with the first surface defining an outer radius when the saw blade is coupled to the rotatable hub. The distal edge portion includes a plurality of cutting teeth, and the second surface includes a cutting structure configured such that a radius of an arc swept by the cutting structure when the saw blade is rotated is substantially equal to the outer radius of the first surface.
SAW BLADE WITH MULTIPLE TANGS AND METHOD OF USE
This application discloses a method of using a reciprocating saw blade having an elongated body with a front body portion and a rear body portion, each body portion having a front end, a rear end, an elongated cutting edge extending between the front end and the rear end and a back edge opposite the cutting edge. The saw blade may be coupled to the reciprocating saw by coupling a first tang that extends from the rear end of the rear body portion to the reciprocating saw. The saw blade may be removed from reciprocating saw, and a second tang, which extends from the rear end of the front body portion, may be exposed by breaking off an entirety of the rear body portion in a single integral piece from the front body portion. The front body portion, without the rear body portion, may be coupled to the reciprocating saw by coupling the exposed second tang to the reciprocating saw.
GROUND SET SAW BLADE
A saw blade comprises a blade backer with a pair of side surfaces that extend substantially parallel to each other. An intermediate surface extends between the pair of side surfaces of the blade backer. A plurality of teeth extends from the intermediate surface. The plurality of teeth comprises an asymmetrically ground tooth tip having a first rake face angle and a symmetrically ground tooth tip having a different, second rake face angle.
Blade fan
An accessory for a cutting blade, more particularly, to a flexible plate that attaches to the blade and blows debris when the plate reciprocates up and down with the blade is described. The plate may be thin so that the plate bends/flaps as the blade (and attached plate) moves up and down. The plate may include a slit so that the plate removably attaches to the blade via a friction fit and the plate is transparent so that the plate does not block the operator's view.
Sawing tool, in particular saw blade
A sawing tool, in particular a saw blade, includes: at least one connection region, in particular a shaft, for forming a connection to a tool holder of a hand-held power tool; at least one main body, in particular a carrier, which is connected to the connection region and is designed in one piece; at least one set of saw teeth which is located on the main body; and a plurality of reduction grooves which are located on the main body, in particular introduced into the main body by removing material, and which have a main extension running transversely to a cutting edge of the saw teeth. The reduction grooves extend at least over more than 50% of a total transverse extent of at least one flank of the main body from the cutting edge towards a rear side of the main body, the rear side facing away from the saw teeth.
Recip Blade
A recip blade has a blade body including a cutting edge and a tang located at one end of the blade body. The tang defines an arcuate cross-sectional shape or is laminated to increase the overall thickness of the tang and, in turn, enhance the rigidity of the blade and/or reduce oscillation or whipping of the blade during cutting.
Assembly of saw handle and saw member
An assembly of saw handle and saw member is provided. An end portion of the saw member is inserted into an inserting groove of the saw handle. The saw handle has stopping bars at an inserting portion and a swing arm. The end portion defines an opened hole and a closed hole. When the swing arm is moved to an eject position and not received in a receiving space of a guard portion of the saw handle, the saw member is not blocked by the swing arm and is allowed to be inserted into the inserting groove. After the saw member is inserted into the inserting groove and the swing arm is moved to a fix position, the stopping bars are respectively located in the opened hole and the closed hole, so that the saw member can be assembled with the saw handle in a convenient and rapid manner.
RECIPROCATING SAW BLADE
A saw blade for use with a reciprocating saw includes a body and an attachment portion extending from the body. The attachment portion includes a tang and an aperture configured to connect to the reciprocating saw. The saw blade also includes a cutting portion formed on the body. The cutting portion includes a plurality of cutting teeth, and first and second floor guard teeth spaced apart and positioned adjacent at least one of the plurality of cutting teeth. Each cutting tooth has a tip that defines a plane. The body has a first height measured generally perpendicularly from a back edge of the body to the plane. The attachment portion has a second height measured generally perpendicular to the plane. A ratio of the first height to the second height is between approximately 4 and approximately 5. The first and second floor guard teeth extend beyond the plane.
Accessory for a reciprocating power tool
An accessory configured for use with a reciprocating saw having a spindle. The accessory is configured to reciprocate with the spindle. The accessory includes an attachment portion having a tang including a first tang member and a second tang member and an aperture that extends through the attachment portion from a first broad side to a second broad side. The attachment portion also includes a first radius, which terminates to define a projection, located on a first narrow side. The attachment portion also includes a second radius, which terminates to define a projection, located on a second narrow side. The first radius and the second radius are configured to contact an exterior of the spindle.
