Saw For Blade Having Deformable Lock Teeth
A surgical saw comprises a body, a coupling assembly, and a motor. The coupling assembly is mounted to the body and adapted to releasably hold a saw blade. The coupling assembly includes an anvil, a press, and a clamping assembly. The anvil has a channel or a press foot. The press has the other of the press foot and the channel. The press foot is receivable by the channel. The clamping assembly selectively moves the press and the anvil towards and away from each other. When the press is brought towards the anvil, the press foot may press a lock tooth of the saw blade into the channel so that the lock tooth is compressed between the anvil and the press to coin the lock tooth. The motor, internal to the body, is connected to the coupling assembly to reciprocate the coupling assembly and the saw blade.
Recip blade
A recip blade has a blade body including a cutting edge and a tang located at one end of the blade body. The tang defines an arcuate cross-sectional shape or is laminated to increase the overall thickness of the tang and, in turn, enhance the rigidity of the blade and/or reduce oscillation or whipping of the blade during cutting.
RECIPROCATING SAW BLADE
A reciprocating saw blade includes an elongated blade body extending along a blade axis and having a rear end, a front end, a cutting edge having a plurality of teeth, a non-cutting edge opposite the cutting edge; and a tang coupled to the rear end and configured to be received in a blade holder of a powered reciprocating saw. The cutting edge includes inclined and declined cutting edge portions. The inclined cutting edge portion extends away from the blade axis and toward the front end at an acute first angle and extends from a first tooth to a second tooth. The first tooth is closer to the rear end and closer to the blade axis than the second tooth. The declined cutting edge portion extends toward the blade axis and toward the front end at an acute second angle that is greater than the first angle and extends from a third tooth to the first tooth. The first tooth is closer to the front end and closer to the blade axis than the third tooth.
Reciprocating saw blade
A saw blade for use with a reciprocating saw includes a body and an attachment portion extending from the body. The attachment portion includes a tang and an aperture configured to connect to the reciprocating saw. The saw blade also includes a cutting portion formed on the body. The cutting portion includes a plurality of cutting teeth, and first and second floor guard teeth spaced apart and positioned adjacent at least one of the plurality of cutting teeth. Each cutting tooth has a tip that defines a plane. The body has a first height measured generally perpendicularly from a back edge of the body to the plane. The attachment portion has a second height measured generally perpendicular to the plane. A ratio of the first height to the second height is between approximately 4 and approximately 5. The first and second floor guard teeth extend beyond the plane.
Radial saw blade and hub for osteotomy
A saw blade includes a main body having a first surface, a second surface on an opposite side of the main body from the first surface, a proximal edge portion, a distal edge portion, and first and second side portions extending between the proximal and distal edge portions. The proximal edge portion is configured to be coupled to a rotatable hub such that the saw blade is held in a curved shape with the first surface defining an outer radius when the saw blade is coupled to the rotatable hub. The distal edge portion includes a plurality of cutting teeth, and the second surface includes a cutting structure configured such that a radius of an arc swept by the cutting structure when the saw blade is rotated is substantially equal to the outer radius of the first surface.
RECIPROCATING SAW BLADE
A reciprocating saw blade includes an axially elongated blade body having a first end portion, a second end portion, a cutting edge extending from the first end portion to the second end portion, and an opposite back edge extending from the first end portion to the second end portion. An exposed first tang is coupled to the first end portion and is configured to removably mount the blade body in a blade holder of a powered reciprocating saw. An unexposed second tang is defined by a first score in the blade body between the first end portion and the second end portion. The first score is configured so that the second tang can be exposed by breaking off a first removable portion of the blade body at the first score. The second tang is configured to removably mount the blade body in a blade holder of a powered reciprocating saw when the second tang is exposed.
SAW BLADE
A saw blade includes a cutting portion having consecutive first, second, and third cutting teeth. Each cutting tooth includes a rake surface, a relief surface, and a tip. The first cutting tooth includes a protrusion extending from the relief surface of the first cutting tooth. The cutting portion includes a first gullet positioned between the first cutting tooth and the second cutting tooth and a second gullet sized differently than the first gullet positioned between the second cutting tooth and the third cutting tooth. The cutting portion includes a first pitch extending over the first gullet from the tip of the first cutting tooth to the tip of the second cutting tooth. The cutting portion includes a second pitch different than the first pitch extending over the second gullet from the tip of the second cutting tooth to the tip of the third cutting tooth.
Surgical saw blade with deformable lock teeth and method of manufacturing
A surgical saw and complementary blade. The blade has lock teeth that are more ductal than the cutting teeth. The saw coupling assembly has an anvil and a press. The saw coupling assembly holds the blade to the saw by compressing the saw lock teeth between the anvil and the press so as to result the coining of the lock teeth.
SAW BLADE
A saw blade includes an elongated blade body having a first end portion, a second end portion, and a cutting edge portion. An exposed first tool holder portion is coupled to the first end portion and is configured to removably mount the blade body in a blade holder of a powered saw. An unexposed second tool holder portion is defined by a first score in the blade body between the first end portion and the second end portion. The first score is configured so that the second tool holder portion can be exposed by breaking off a first removable portion of the blade body at the first score. The second tool holder portion is configured to removably mount the blade body in a blade holder of a powered saw when the second tool holder portion is exposed.
Saw blade with multiple tangs and methods of use
A method of using a reciprocating saw blade having an elongated body with a front body portion and a rear body portion, each having a front end, a rear end, an elongated cutting edge extending between the front and rear ends and a back edge opposite the cutting edge. A first tang that extends from the rear end of the rear body portion may be coupled to a reciprocating saw. The saw blade may be removed from reciprocating saw, and a second tang, which extends from the rear end of the front body portion, may be exposed by breaking off an entirety of the rear body portion in a single integral piece from the front body portion. The front body portion, without the rear body portion, may be coupled to the reciprocating saw by coupling the exposed second tang to the reciprocating saw.
