A method for machining toothed and hardened work wheels, includes: mounting a work wheel that is hardened and pre-toothed with an allowance onto a workpiece spindle; removing at least 50% of the allowance by means of gear skiving with a skiving wheel that is rotatably driven by a tool spindle; precision-machining the work wheel in unchanged tension by means of a honing wheel. The forward movement occurs during gear skiving in the extension direction of the toothing. The delivery of the workpiece that is moved in an oscillating manner in the extension direction of the toothing occurs during honing in the radial direction. The skiving wheel and the honing wheel are driven by a common tool spindle. A device for carrying out the method includes a workpiece spindle, which is driven to rotate, and a tool spindle, which carries a combination tool having a skiving wheel and a honing wheel.

Method for profiling a finishing tool, in particular a grinding worm, having a first and a second finishing flank; the method providing the steps of: arranging a cutting portion of a profiling tool in contact with the first flank of the thread; causing the cutting portion to slide in contact with the first flank of the thread so as to profile it; removing the cutting portion from the thread; automatically rotating the profiling tool so as to arrange the cutting portion in contact with a second flank of the thread; and causing the cutting portion to slide in contact with the second flank of the thread so as to profile it.

METHOD OF PRODUCING A WORKPIECE HAVING A MODIFIED GEARING GEOMETRY
20170080546 · 2017-03-23 ·

A method of producing a workpiece having a modified gearing geometry by a generating method includes generating machining the workpiece in at least one machining stroke with a tool having a modified gearing geometry and a topological modification. Provision is made that the contact path with the workpiece is not shifted on the tool during the machining stroke. In one example, a cylindrical workpiece is machined by an axial generating method. In another example, a conical workpiece is machined by a diagonal generating method, and the diagonal ratio is selected such that the contact path does not shift on the tool during the machining stroke.

RFID identification of metal interchangeable parts for machine tools

A machine tool comprises a first component, for example a dressing spindle (3), and at least one second component, for example a dressing wheel (1), which is removably and/or movably arranged on the first component. The first component has a first antenna coil for a wireless signal transmission, and the second component has a second antenna coil. The two components together delimit a cavity which is completely surrounded by metal. The first antenna coil and the second antenna coil are arranged together in the cavity. This forms a metal-protected radio link (26.1) between the first antenna coil and the second antenna coil, which radio link is protected from harmful external influences.

METHOD OF GRINDING GEARS

A method of grinding the tooth slots of a workpiece with a freshly dressed grinding wheel wherein dual-machining of tooth slots is eliminated. The method comprises grinding the first few slots of a gear at a corrected depth amount which accounts for the rapid wear and other conditions of the freshly dressed grinding wheel wherein for a first number of tooth slots (e.g. 1, 2, 3 or more), the grinding wheel is fed-in relative to the workpiece by the corrected depth amount.
