METHOD OF DRESSING A TOOL
20170008109 · 2017-01-12 ·

A tool which can be used for gear manufacturing machining of a workpiece may be dressed on a dressing machine, and the dressing may take place with line contact between the dresser and the tool. A specific modification of the surface geometry of the tool is produced by the suitable selection of the position of the dresser with respect to the tool during dressing. The specific modification of the surface geometry of the workpiece is specifiable with regard to various parameters.

METHOD FOR DRESSING A MULTITHREAD GRINDING WORM
20170008110 · 2017-01-12 ·

The present disclosure relates to a method for dressing a multithread grinding worm, in which a flight of the multithread grinding worm is machined by means of a dressing tool. During machining of the multithread grinding worm, one of several flights of the grinding worm is eliminated, so that the number of flights of the grinding worm is reduced, thereby increasing the service life of the dressing tool and reducing the number of dressing tools to be kept in stock.

Method For Pre-Profiling A Grinding Tool

In a method for pre-profiling a grinding tool, a device, in particular a gear grinding machine, for hard fine machining of workpieces and for pre-profiling grinding tools is provided, which includes a workpiece spindle for rotating a workpiece, a grinding spindle, which is feedable at least along an X-grinding-spindle-infeed-axis, for rotating a grinding tool, in particular a grinding worm or a grinding wheel, and a profiling device with a fixed first profiling plate. A grinding tool blank, in particular a grinding worm blank, is provided on the grinding spindle of the device. The device is brought into a profiling configuration. The grinding spindle is fed until the grinding tool blank is operatively connected to the first profiling plate. Finally, the grinding tool blank is pre-profiled.

Device For Transporting An Object For A Grinding Machine

A device for transporting an object to and/or from a grinding machine includes a base, a carrier arranged on the base and rotatable with respect to the base about a first axis of rotation, a swivel device arranged on the carrier for transporting the object. The swivel device is pivotable with respect to the carrier about a second axis of rotation, and the device is designed to carry out a rotational movement of the carrier about the first axis of rotation and a swivel movement of the swivel device about the second axis of rotation at least at times simultaneously in such a way that the object can be transported by means of a transport movement of the swivel device resulting from the superimposition of the rotational movement of the carrier with the swivel movement of the swivel device.

Method for producing or machining, by cutting, an identical set of teeth on each of a plurality of workpieces, and machine group and control program therefor

The invention relates to a method for producing or machining, by cutting, an identical set of teeth on each of a plurality of workpieces, in particular at least 4 workpieces, of a workpiece batch on one or more gear-cutting machines (100) having a gear-cutting tool (S), which has a set of teeth having rake faces (5) and having an axis of rotation (B1), in rolling machining engagement, in which method, in the event that a deviation of a set of teeth from the tooth profile sought for said set of teeth is detected or expected, a countermeasure that counteracts said deviation is determined and the production/machining of additional workpieces of said workpiece batch is continued using the countermeasure, the countermeasure being, at least in part, a change in the position of the rake faces relative to the axis of rotation of the tool, which change is brought about by means of grinding performed on the gear-cutting machine or at a grinding machine (140) that belongs to the machine group of the gear-cutting machine.
