Harmonic metal manufacturing wire reciprocation
A harmonic welding wire oscillator configured to oscillate a stretch of welding wire within a wire liner. The oscillator may include an actuator configured to oscillate the welding wire at a resonant frequency of the stretch of welding wire. The oscillation causes reciprocation of the welding wire at the tip of the welding torch.
SELF ADJUSTING SEALS FOR WIRE FEEDER CONNECTION
Embodiments of the present invention are welding torch assemblies that have connectors which are pivotable within their respective connection ports. The connectors have a retention portion which resides within a retention cavity portion of the connection ports and allow the distal tips of the connectors to move relative to a centerline of the ports when the connectors are inserted. Embodiments of the invention allow for the relaxation of manufacturing tolerances and ease of torch assembly.
WELDING DEVICE FOR SUPPRESSING WELDING HOT CRACKS, AND WELDING SYSTEM
A welding apparatus comprising a first fixing plate and a second fixing plate arranged at an interval; a gas-electric slip ring is connected to the side of the first fixing plate facing the second fixing plate; a hollow shaft drive unit is connected to the side of the second fixing plate facing the first fixing plate; a conductive link is connected to the hollow shaft drive unit and passes through the second fixing plate; a curved conductive nozzle is connected to the conductive link on the outer side of the second fixing plate; and a plurality of support rods are uniformly distributed around the rotational axial direction of the hollow shaft drive unit, and are respectively connected to the first fixing plate and the second fixing plate; the hollow shaft drive unit drives the conductive link to rotate, and the conductive link drives the curved conductive nozzle to oscillate.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR UTILIZING IN-LINE WIRE FEEDERS
Systems and methods are provided for utilizing in-line wire feeders. A welding-type system may include an in-line wire feeder device configured to feed electrode wire from a wire source. The in-line wire feeder device may include an in-line wire feeding mechanism, may be a physically separate component from both of a second wire feeder device and a welding-type torch, and may be connected in series with the second wire feeder device. The in-line wire feeder device may control feeding of the electrode wire from a wire source, with the controlling including causing the second wire feeder device to feed the electrode wire from the wire source until the electrode wire reaches the in-line wire feeding mechanism, and then afterwards deactivating at least a feeding function of the second wire feeder device, and causing the in-line wire feeding mechanism to take over feeding of the electrode wire from the wire source.
Welding head and welding head assembly for an arc-welding system
The invention relates to an electric arc-welding welding head comprising a contact device and one or more wire feeder units, the contact device encompassing an electrode assembly, the electrode assembly comprising at least two fusible continuously-fed wire electrodes arranged in a contact device. An electrically insulated duct is provided for electric insulation of at least one of the electrodes so that the electrode is electrically insulated from other electrodes in the electrode assembly. The invention also relates to an electric arc-welding contact device and an electric arc-welding welding head assembly.
ADAPTIVE TWIN CONSUMABLE WELDING
A contact device for a welding apparatus is disclosed. The contact device is for providing current to a first welding wire and a second welding wire. The contact device includes first and second contact jaws. The first and second contact jaws include a plurality of longitudinally extending grooves formed therein that form passageways for the welding wires. The welding wires can be positioned in a first configuration in which they are spaced apart and in a second configuration in which they are next to and contact each other.

System and method for true electrode speed
The invention described herein generally pertains to a system and method related to detecting a change in height during a welding operation and adjusting one or more welding parameters based on such detected change in height. In particular, a change in a height can be related to two or more revolutions on the workpiece in which the change is due to material being deposited onto the workpiece from the welding operation. Since the material deposited onto the workpiece changes the height of the electrode to the workpiece, one or more welding parameters can be adjusted for compensation. Specifically, an electrode speed can be adjusted to compensate for a change in the height, wherein the electrode speed is a rate that the electrode moves adjacent to the workpiece.
