An actuator includes a rotary motor, a spline member, a linear motor and an output part. The rotary motor includes a rotary mover with a rotational axis, the rotary mover being configured to rotate around the rotational axis. The spline member includes a first member that receives torque from the rotary mover, and a second member. The linear motor includes a linear mover that receives torque from the second member, and a linear stator. The linear mover penetrates the linear stator in a direction of the rotational axis.
Hybrid induction heating/welding assembly
In certain embodiments, inductive heating is added to a metal working process, such as a welding process, by an induction heating head. The induction heating head may be adapted specifically for this purpose, and may include one or more coils to direct and place the inductive energy, protective structures, and so forth. Productivity of a welding process may be improved by the application of heat from the induction heating head. The heating is in addition to heat from a welding arc, and may facilitate application of welding wire electrode materials into narrow grooves and gaps, as well as make the processes more amenable to the use of certain compositions of welding wire, shielding gasses, flux materials, and so forth. In addition, distortion and stresses are reduced by the application of the induction heating energy in addition to the welding arc source.
Orbital Welding System
An orbital welding system is suitable for welding a flange to a tube. The system includes a base having a main axis and a clamp assembly configured to demountably secure a flange to the base. A mount is coupled to the base and rotatable about the main axis. A welding torch is coupled to the mount and includes electrode that extends radially outward from the main axis. The system further includes a motor configured to drive rotation of the mount about the main axis.

Provided is an apparatus for forming a tab from a moving original sheet with a laser beam. This apparatus is a tab forming apparatus in a tabbed electrode sheet producing apparatus (100) for moving, in one direction, an original sheet (1) including an electrode portion (1a) obtained by applying an active material layer to a long metal foil (4) and an ear portion (1b). This tab forming apparatus includes: a laser emission device (50) configured to apply a laser beam (L1) to the moving ear portion (1b) to cut out a tab (5) connected to the electrode portion (1a); an ear portion separating portion (70) provided at a position above or below a moving plane on which the electrode portion (1a) moves, on a downstream side of an irradiation point (Pm) of the laser beam (L1), so as to cause a take-up angle () to occur at the irradiation point (Pm) between the ear portion (1b) from which the tab (5) has been cut out and die moving plane; and an ear portion collection portion (80) configured to collect the ear portion (1b) in synchronization with the movement of the original sheet (1), while applying tension to the ear portion (1b) from which the tab (5) has been cut out with the laser beam L1.
REVERSIBLE WELD TORCH TROLLEY
A trolley includes a body and a side block coupled to the body via a pivot arm and a spring. An adjustment knob adjusts a position of the side block relative to the body. A first plurality of rollers are coupled to the body and roll along a first roller recess on a first side of a length of a cap channel. A second plurality of rollers are coupled to the side block and roll along a second roller recess on a second side of the length of the cap channel. A first welding torch bracket positions a welding torch at a first interface between the first side of the length of the cap channel and a first deck sheet as the trolley traverses the length of the cap channel.

A welding system can include a carriage having a top surface and a bottom surface. A first set of wheels can be coupled to the top surface of the carriage, and a second set of wheels can be coupled to the top surface of the carriage, spaced apart from the first set of wheels to create a first beam channel. The welding system can further include a first beam that includes a rack extending along a side of the first beam. The first beam can extend through the first beam channel and engage with the first and second sets of wheels. The welding system can further include a first positioning motor that includes a pinion gear. The first positioning motor is removeably coupled to the carriage such that the pinion gear is positioned to engage the rack extending along the first beam.
