MACHINING ROOM
A three-dimensional laser cutter can be disposed in a machining room. The machining room includes a ceiling and a plate member. The ceiling is provided with a suction port connected to a suction device. The plate member is disposed below the ceiling with a gap therebetween. The plate member forms a space with the ceiling.
PREDICTING THE TILT INCLINATION OF A WORKPIECE PORTION AND SEPARATING A PLATE-LIKE WORKPIECE
The invention relates to a method for predicting the tilt inclination of a workpiece part that is being cut free from a remaining workpiece using a machine tool during a machining process, and that rests on one or more supports, said method comprising the following steps: determining one or more possible tilt edges about which the workpiece part being cut free might tilt. For at least one potential tilt edge, particularly for each potential tilt edge, determining tilt moments that act on the workpiece part in different states of the machine tool, and on the basis of the determined tilt moments, determining whether the workpiece part would tilt about a tilt edge.
System and method of arranging welding device markers
A system includes a welding device, one or more cameras, and a controller coupled to the one or more cameras. The welding device includes a first set of visual markers oriented in a first direction and a second set of visual markers oriented in a second direction. Each set of visual markers includes at least three visual markers. The one or more cameras are configured to observe the first set of visual markers when the first direction is directed toward the one or more cameras, and to observe the second set of visual markers when the second direction is directed toward the one or more cameras. The controller is configured to track a position and an orientation of the welding device based at least in part on detection of a threshold quantity of the first set of visual markers or the threshold quantity of the second set of visual markers.
Rotary positioner with outriggers
Present invention relates to a rotary positioner that allows a welding table's work surface to be set at an angle as desired by a user. Two vertical frames can move and slide along the length of a chassis-bar to adjust the distance between the two vertical frames. As long as the length of a welding table does not exceed the total greatest distance between the two vertical frames, the present invention can fit any work table or welding table. Caster wheels and height adjustment knobs allow for easy movement and balancing of the rotary positioner.
Fabrication layout device and method
Techniques and devices are disclosed for fabrication layout device. The device includes a table with a work surface. The work surface being a continuous surface and configured to support a plurality of railing pieces for fabrication of a railing assembly. The device further includes a beam located above the work surface. The beam is operatively coupled to the table, such that the beam moves relative to the work surface in a first direction. Attached to the beam is an ink dispenser. The ink dispenser is configured to move along the beam in a second direction different from the first direction. The ink dispenser is further configured to dispense ink onto the work surface of the table in the form of a pattern of the railing assembly. Railing pieces are positioned on the pattern so that they can be assembled to one another.
Cutting machinery laser system
A cutting apparatus comprising a cutting table and a first cutting material belt movably supported about the cutting table about a first roller and a second roller. A second cutting material belt is removably supported above the first cutting material belt about the first roller and a third roller, wherein the second roller is intermediate the first roller and the second roller.
ASSEMBLY AND JOINING TABLE, SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR AUTOMATED OPERATIONS OF THE SAME
An assembly and joining table, such as with weld splatter protection features, are disclosed along with systems and methods for operating the same in at least partially automated fashion. The table includes holders positioned about platform providing a work surface. Parts are placed within at least certain of the holders for joining to create an assembly. The holders include conductive surfaces and may include a sinuous recessed channels for wiring connecting the conductive surfaces to an electrical ground. A controller may operate motors of the table and command operations of robots for material handling and/or joining, such as based on data from a machine vision system viewing the table.
Hybrid modular fixturing platform
Systems, method and apparatus for a fixturing platform having a frame assembly configured to couple to a support assembly with a plurality of surface plates configured to couple to the frame assembly in a number of configurations are described in this disclosure. The configurations include a continuous configuration with abutting surface plates forming a continuous working surface and a spaced configuration with spaced surface plates forming a spaced working surface, the spaced configuration have one or more working gaps between surface plates.
System and method for additive manufacturing
A method for forming a component includes providing a first layer of a mixture of first and second powders. The method includes determining the frequency of an alternating magnetic field to induce eddy currents sufficient to bulk heat only one of the first and second powders. The alternating magnetic field is applied at the determined frequency to a portion of the first layer of the mixture using a flux concentrator. Exposure to the magnetic field changes the phase of at least a portion of the first powder to liquid. A change in power transferred to the powder during a phase change in the powder is calculated to determine the quality of component formation.
