The invention provides a pneumatic conveying system having a series of supply lines with at least portions of the lines being wear resistant to extend the useful lifespan of an agricultural product delivery applicator. The wear resistant supply line(s) may be made from a hard material and have a curve(s) defined by angled or mitered segments that are welded or otherwise joined to collectively provide the curve(s) The wear resistant supply lines may be at least partially reinforced by way of, for example, welded or other build up wear resistant material(s) at high wear zones of the supply lines.

Fittings for orbitally welded fusion bonds

Embodiments are directed to methods, systems, and apparatuses, for providing fittings capable of being orbitally welded. A system may include measuring components configured to measure a tubing thickness and measure a fitting thickness. The system may also include a processor configured to determine a difference in thickness between the measured tubing thickness and the measured fitting thickness and, based on the determined difference in thickness, determine an amount of fitting that is to be removed to reach a set, specified thickness that allows the fitting to be orbitally welded. The system may also include a facing tool configured to bevel and shape an end portion of the fitting according to the determined amount of fitting that is to be removed to reach the specified thickness and may include an orbital welder configured to orbitally weld the beveled end of the fitting to the tubing in a fusion socket weld.

The system includes a delivery system for delivering a laser beam from a laser source, at least one mirror, a focusing objective lens, a gas source, and a delivery nozzle. A first stage holds each article in a longitudinal direction, and may rotate the article axially during delivery of the gas and laser beam towards the article and move the article longitudinally relative to the delivery nozzle. A second stage is provided in the system for moving the delivery nozzle relative to the article being held by the first stage. A controller controls actuation of the laser beam and the gas source, and movement of the first stage and the second stage.

A pipe processing tool that is configured to deform the end of a pipe so that the circumferential shape of the end of the pipe generally matches the circumferential shape of an adjacent pipe end. Matching the circumferential shapes of the pipe ends is advantageous during a pipe attachment process. The pipe processing tool can include a deformation ring with a plurality of pipe deformation members. Each pipe deformation member faces radially inward and is actuatable in a radial direction toward and away from the center of the deformation ring in order to permit engagement with the pipe. Each pipe deformation member is individually and separately actuatable from the other pipe deformation members so that the circumferential shapes of the pipes can be altered by controlling suitable ones of the pipe deformation members.
