METAL PIPE, IN PARTICULAR PIPE FOR CONVEYING OIL AND GAS, COMPRISING A METAL COATING IN A TRANSITION REGION
A metal pipe and a system of pipes, and a method of producing the same. The pipe is for conveying oil and gas. The pipe includes a metal coating in a transition region. The metal coating of the transition region obviates a subsequent coating of the inner surface of the transition region after connecting two pipes using a welding process in order to form a pipeline.
Apparatus and method for forming large-scale thin-walled ring shell by hot-press bending with internal gas pressure
The present disclosure discloses an apparatus and a method for forming a large-scale thin-walled ring shell by hot-press bending with internal gas pressure. The method comprises: welding a first head and a second head to the pipe; arranging a first electrode and a second electrode at the two ends of the pipe; charging compressed gas to the heated sealed pipe assembly; placing the sealed pipe assembly between the convex part of the first die and the concave part of the second die, controlling the temperatures of the first and second dies to perform press bending; increasing the gas pressure in the bent sealed pipe assembly, to attach the bent sealed pipe assembly to the die cavity profile; discharging the compressed gas, cutting the first head, second head and extra material to obtain a formed ring shell segment; welding formed ring shell segments to obtain a large-scale thin-walled ring shell.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING MULTI-LAYERED NUCLEAR FUEL CLADDING PIPE
The present inventive concept provides a method for manufacturing a multi-layered nuclear fuel cladding pipe, comprising the steps of: providing a preliminary cladding pipe in which an inner pipe having a rod-shaped insertion body inserted thereinto is disposed in an outer pipe; reducing the diameter of the preliminary cladding pipe by applying pressure from the outside to the inner side of the preliminary cladding pipe; and removing the insertion body from the inner pipe by providing a force in the direction in which the insertion body extends, wherein the inner pipe and the outer pipe may be formed of different metals from each other.
System for installing insulation sleeves on pipelines
Systems and methods include a system for installing insulation sleeves on pipelines. A portable welding robot is configured to weld a plug base longitudinally along a top edge of a pipeline. The plug base supports plugs configured to engage with holes in both overlapping sides of an insulation sleeve configured to insulate the pipeline. A portable pipeline insulation installation fixture is configured to lift the insulation sleeve and install the insulation sleeve around the pipeline including using electric hoists to lift ends of strands beneath and on either side of the pipeline. Each strand is enclosed in an external tube configured to contact and roll along the insulation sleeve and to rotate relative to the strand. The external tubes are configured to wrap the insulation sleeve around the pipeline.
METHOD FOR PIPE PURGING
A method of providing an inert atmosphere to the inside of a piping assembly prior to and during welding, including introducing a canister, and a deflated bladder which surrounds the canister, into a piping assembly to be welded. Introducing purge gas, thereby inflating the deflated bladder and sealing the canister against the inside of the piping assembly to be welded. Introducing excess purge gas from the bladder into a primary purge gas diffuser, thereby producing a first diffused purge gas stream. Introducing the first diffused purge gas stream into a secondary purge gas diffuser, thereby producing a secondary diffused purge gas stream. Introducing the secondary diffused purge gas stream into a tertiary purge gas diffuser, thereby producing a third purge gas stream. And introducing the third purge gas stream into the inside of the piping assembly to be welded.
PURGE WALL SYSTEM FOR WELDING
A system for welding pipe sections together includes first and second disks, each having a central portion and a resilient material outer portion. The central portion is more rigid than the outer portion. An outside dimension and shape of each outer portion is configured to engage an interior of a pipe having an inner dimension that is smaller than the outside dimension of the outer portion to establish a sealed interface between the outer portion and the interior of the first pipe section. The disks establish a chamber that overlaps a weld seam between abutting pipe sections. An inert gas introduced into the chamber effectively removes any air in the chamber so that a weld can be completed without any undesired gas near the weld seam.
PIPE WELDING STRUCTURE
A pipe welding structure includes: a channel plate that includes a fluid channel; through-hole plates stacked on the channel plate, each of the through-hole plates having through holes that communicate with each other and forming a combined through hole; and a pipe inserted into the combined through hole and welded to one of the through-hole plates disposed farthest from the channel plate, the pipe internally including a pipe channel that connects to the fluid channel.
Method for producing a double-walled pipe and a double-walled pipe
The application relates to a method for producing a double-walled pipe (1) and a pipe (1) of this type, having an outer pipe (3) which is press-fitted with an inner pipe (2) consisting of a corrosion-resistant alloy, wherein an adhesive (4) is inserted at least in regions between the outer pipe (3) and the inner pipe (2), wherein, after adhering the inner pipe (2) with the outer pipe (3), the inner pipe (2) and the adhesive layer (4) are removed at the pipe ends, and the inner side of the outer pipe (3) is plated via an integral connection with the inner pipe (2).
Welding torch and all-position welding device
A welding torch includes a gas lens of a lattice structure that straightens a shielding gas. The welding torch includes a non-consumable electrode, an electrode holder into which the non-consumable electrode is inserted, and a torch body including a sleeve that holds the electrode holder, a flow path forming portion that forms a shielding gas flow path around the sleeve, and a nozzle that forms a shielding gas guiding space around a distal end of the non-consumable electrode, the distal end extending from the electrode holder, in which the gas lens is provided so as to separate the shielding gas flow path from the shielding gas guiding space.
PIPE CHAIN SYSTEM
A pipe chain system has a chain that is made of a plurality of chain links. Each chain link has a body. The body has a male end and a female end such that the male end matingly engages with the female end of an adjacent chain link. The body has an arcuate underside. The arcuate underside corresponds to a portion of a pipe diameter to which the chain is attached. A pin connection is provided for mating each mating engagement of the male end and the female end of the adjacent chain links such that the chain links are hingedly connected to each other.
