Systems and methods for removing a panel insert
A system for removing a panel insert from a panel includes a main housing. A loading cap is coupled to the main housing. A tension knob is coupled to the main housing. The tension knob is configured to couple to a puller rod. A tension spring is within the main housing. The loading cap is configured to set the tension spring at an initial tension. The tension knob is configured to set the tension spring at a subsequent tension. A heater is configured to apply heat to the panel insert.
PULLEY AND GEAR REMOVER
Aspects of the present disclosure deal with a tool for removing shaft components from a shaft. In one embodiment, the tool is a shaft component separator with an inflatable bladder configured to wrap circumferentially around a shaft. In one embodiment, the bladder is slotted to form a C-shaped profile so that a user can position the bladder perpendicularly around the shaft, adjacent a removable shaft component. Extending from the bladder is an inflation stem, which enables the user to move the ring between a deflated state and an inflated state via the introduction and/or removal of a fluid. Typically, the user positions the bladder between a fixed component and the removable shaft component, such that the fixed component and removable shaft component form a sandwich arrangement with respect to the bladder. Expansion of the bladder, via fluidic pressure, applies increasing axial force to the removable shaft component until the removable shaft component breaks free from the shaft.
END CAP REMOVER
A tool for extracting plugs or end caps.
System and method for positioning or removing pin
A system for positioning or removing a pin from a work machine includes a tool. The tool includes a first elongate member. The first elongate member defines a first end and a second end opposite to the first end. The tool also includes a first member fixedly coupled with the first elongate member at the first end of the first elongate member. The first member defines a first through-opening to facilitate receipt of the pin within the tool, and at least two through-holes. The tool further includes a second member removably coupled with the first elongate member at the second end of the first elongate member. The second member defines a second through-opening.
Axle Hub and Rotor Assembly Removal Tool
An axle hub and rotor assembly removal tool designed for efficient brake rotor removal from drive axles. The tool is constructed with a main body comprising a rectangular metal plate and transverse plates. The tool also features a threaded rod with continuous threads and a hex nut. A pair of nut and bolt assemblies are used for fastening onto wheel studs of the brake rotor. When placed on the axle hub, the tool's nuts are secured to the studs and are turned clockwise to create a small gap between the axle and the brake rotor. The threaded rod facilitates the brake rotor separation by providing leverage against the axle shaft.
Fire Tube Installation and Removal Tool
A tool is provided for removal and installation of a fire tube that extends into an opening in a wall of a heating vessel. The fire tube locates within an interior of the heating vessel when mounted thereto. The fire tube has tube wall that defines an tube interior and has a mounting end for mounting the fire tube to the wall of the heating vessel. The tool has an elongated main shaft member having an insertion end and an opposite control end. A first support is mounted upon the insertion end that is configured for being closely received within the tube interior. A second support is mounted along the length main shaft member, the second support having a fire tube interface configured for engaging and releasably coupling to the mounting end of the fire tube. A lift coupling couples to the main shaft and locates between the second support and the control end of the main shaft member for coupling to a lift line. A counterbalance support carries removable weighting members, the counterbalance support being coupled to the main shaft by a counterbalance support spacing arm that extends laterally from the main shaft member.
Valve Seat Extraction Device
A valve seat puller provides jaws for expanding on a first side of a valve seat to engage that seat in a first reaction for removal of the seat in a second direction.
Extension removal tool
A tool assembly for disassembling a crankshaft assembly with a main shaft received within a hollow extension shaft along a shaft axis and coupled thereto via an interference fit, the extension shaft having a fastener slot. The tool assembly includes a main tool body having a central bore, a main tool body inner surface circumscribing the central bore, and a main tool body outer surface having a fastener bore, the central bore dimensioned for axially receiving the extension shaft, with the fastener bore axially aligned with the extension shaft fastener slot. A fastener is concurrently fastenable to the main tool body via the fastener bore and the hollow extension shaft via the fastener slot. An actuator assembly with a linearly-displacing actuating element is coupled to the main tool body and applies a force, via the actuating element, against an end of the main shaft in a direction along the axis.
EXTRACTION PROCESS OF A GLOW PLUG PENCIL FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE AND THE TOOLING SET FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF SUCH A PROCESS
The invention involves the extraction process of a glow plug pencil (23) or a broken pencil (23) which is stuck in a cylinder head (13) housing (11) of a glow plug engine comprising a lower (19) and upper (17) part, so that the upper part (17) forms a shoulder (21) with the lower part (19), the pencil (23) being stuck in the lower part (19). The process is remarkable in that it includes a step (a) for drilling a bore in the pencil (23) according to the longitudinal direction of the latter which is performed with the use of a drill bit (1) comprising a drilling part (5) with flutes (7) and a shank (3) respectively having a diameter smaller and greater than the lower part diameter (19) of the housing (11) so that the shank (3) forms a shoulder (9) with the drilling part (5), and in that step a) for drilling the bore includes the drilling of the pencil (23) until the said shoulder (9) of the drill bit (1) is positioned to a stop against the shoulder (21) of the housing (11).
Offset press for removing wheel studs
A press for displacing a first wheel stud relative to a stud opening in a wheel flange of a wheel comprises a press assembly, a frame assembly, and a drive assembly. The frame assembly comprises a frame member and at least one adapter member. The drive assembly is configured to displace the press assembly relative to the frame assembly such that operation of the drive assembly displaces the first stud relative to the wheel flange. The adapter member is supported by the frame member and engages at least one of the wheel flange and a second wheel stud to support the press assembly in a desired orientation relative to the primary wheel stud when the drive assembly displaces the first stud relative to the stud opening.
