R.sup.1CH(SO.sub.3M.sup.1)COOM.sup.2(I) in which the radical R.sup.1 is a linear or branched alkyl or alkenyl radical with 6 to 16 carbon atoms and the radicals M.sup.1 and M.sup.2independently of one anotherare selected from the group H, Li, Na, K, Ca/2, Mg/2, ammonium and alkanolamine, one or more alkyl glycosides (B) of the general formula (II),
R.sup.2O-[G].sub.p(I) in which R.sup.2 is an alkyl and/or alkenyl radical with 8 to 18 carbon atoms, G is a sugar radical with 5 or 6 carbon atoms and p is numbers between 1 and 10, and water are disclosed. The composition has excellent foaming ability and is suitable for use in cosmetic products.
Oral care compositions
An oral care composition comprising zinc phosphate, stannous fluoride and an organic acid buffer system, as well as methods of using the same.
Composition and methods for hair regrowth
The invention provides compositions and methods for promoting hair growth and reducing hair loss using bioactive extracts of curcumin, Withania somnifera, and saw palmetto. Tocotrienols, tocopherols, piperine extract, low molecular weight collagen, and hyaluronic acid are optionally included in the compositions and methods.
OIL-IN-WATER EMULSION COSMETIC
An oil-in-water type emulsion cosmetic is capable of stably maintaining large-sized oily particles having a diameter exceeding 50 m in a well-dispersed state or achieving a well-dispersed state thereof merely by lightly shaking, without necessarily adding a water-soluble thickener such as carboxyvinyl polymer to the aqueous phase of the emulsion. The oil-in-water type emulsion cosmetic, wherein oily particles containing a solid fat component and a liquid oil component are dispersed in an aqueous phase, is characterized in that: the average particle diameter of the oily particles is 50 m to 10 mm; and the difference between the specific gravity of the oily phase constituting the oily particles and the specific gravity of the aqueous phase [(specific gravity of oily phase)(specific gravity of aqueous phase)] is within the range of 0.010 to +0.100.
Solid stick antiperspirant compositions having non-volatile silicones
Solid stick antiperspirant compositions include an antiperspirant active, one or more waxes, and a plurality of liquids. The one or more waxes include a polar wax. The plurality of liquids include about 60% or greater, by weight of the plurality of liquids, of a non-volatile silicone. The solid stick antiperspirant composition is substantially or completely free of volatile silicones. Antiperspirant product containing solid stick antiperspirant compositions are also described herein.
Topical gel for alleviating food cravings and method of making same
A gel for topical application for alleviating food cravings is disclosed, which includes the steps of: periodically applying a gel topically to a user's skin, wherein said gel comprises: about 45.0 percent by weight of deionized water; about 10.0 percent by weight of benzyl alcohol; about 40.0 percent by weight of ethyl alcohol; about 0.2 percent by weight of tocopherol acetate; about 0.15 percent by weight of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA); about 1.15 percent by weight of resveratrol; about 1.0 percent by weight of a cross-linked polyacrylic acid copolymer; about 0.1 percent by weight of ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA); about 200 L of lemon essential oil; and, from about 100 L to 200 L of triethanolamine.
Applied films for smoothing wrinkles and skin texture imperfections
A skin smoothing film made from a skin smoothing composition that comprises sodium silicate, polyvalent silicate and water. Moreover, the film may be made from a composition that has a contraction value of from about 30% to about 160%. The film thickness is from about 5 microns to about 50 microns, preferably from about 10 microns to about 40 microns, when applied. The standard deviation of the film over the area covered is less than about 30, preferably less than about 25.
Toothpaste droplets
A droplet for delivering toothpaste to a user can be provided. The droplet can include a dissolvable outer membrane defining a volume with toothpaste inside the volume. The outer membrane can be formed from dissolvable film strip technology and include a tail or corner portion, which is configured to be embedded into the bristles of a toothbrush. In one aspect of this embodiment, the outer membrane of the droplet can form a pillow-like shape. The droplet further can include one or more extensions coupled to the outer surface of the outer membrane, where the one or more extensions can have a triangular shape, a barb shape or the like. In one aspect of this embodiment, the droplet further can include a logo, a cartoon character, a word or the like printed on the outer membrane. The plurality of extensions can form irregularities on the outer surface of the body section of the outer membrane.
Anti-aging skin care compositions and regimens
Multi-step cosmetic regimens are provided to improve the appearance of aging skin. A target portion of skin that exhibits a sign of skin aging is identified. A first formulation is topically applied, comprising at least one active possessing an ability to transcriptionally up-regulate an eigengene derived from a genetic co-expression module for one or more biological themes associated with skin cleansing and/or skin detoxification, and/or skin hydration to the target portion of skin. A second formulation is also topically applied, comprising at least one active possessing an ability to transcriptionally up-regulate an eigengene derived from a co-expression module for one or more biological themes associated with skin repair and/or rebuilding to the target portion of skin.
Cosmetic preparation comprising pulverized hydrophobic substances
A substance, which is in principle insoluble in a cosmetic or dermatological preparation, is converted into a powdery product by absorption onto a carrier, wherein said powdery product can be distributed better in the preparation. The preparations comprise water and one or more hydrophobic substances or substance mixtures which are liquid and pasty at room temperature and/or meltable up to a temperature of 150 C. and which are absorbed on one or more particulate carriers. The hydrophobic substance or substance mixture in itself is insoluble or sparingly soluble in the preparation and the carriers are characterized by a particle size ranging from 5 nm to 2 mm, a tamped density of between 50 kg/m.sup.3 and 1400 kg/m.sup.3 and a spherical, fibrous, flocculated and/or sponge-like particulate form.
