Disclosed is a method of exfoliating skin. The method can include topically applying an effective amount of a composition to skin in need thereof. The composition can include an alpha hydroxy acid, 4-tert-butylcyclohexanol, an aqueous extract of plankton comprising an exopolysacchride synthesized by Vibo alginolyticus, an aqueous extract of Phragmites communis, an aqueous extract of Poria cocos, and an aqueous extract of Cucurbita pepo (pumpkin) seed.

Beneficial topical compositions for treating scar or aging skin are provided. In one embodiment, the compositions include Bulbine frutescens, Centella asiatica and a phenol derived from olives, such as oleuropein. The composition may be used in the treatment of scars formed during surgery. The composition may also be used cosmeceutically in the treatment of aged skin, and may include phosphatidylserine, vitamins, and other beneficial anti-aging ingredients.

Apparatus and methods for producing a sanitizing composition are described. The apparatus includes: (1) one or more first reactors for heating alcohol with a cannabidiol (“CBD”) and/or a cannabigerol (CBG) to produce an intermediate sanitizing composition; and (2) a first homogenizing subsystem including a first homogenizing blade for mixing alcohol with the intermediate sanitizing composition to produce a first homogenized composition. Methods of the present teachings include: (1) mixing alcohol with a CBD and/or a CBG to produce an intermediate sanitizing composition; (2) cooling the intermediate sanitizing composition to a temperature that ranges from about 10° C. to about 30° C. to produce a cooled intermediate sanitizing composition; and (3) admixing the cooled intermediate sanitizing composition with an alcohol and water solution to produce the sanitizing composition.

The present disclosure generally relates to a waterproofing polymer that is a reaction product of the following components: (i) at least one polyglycerol; (ii) at least one dimer acid; and (iii) at least one fatty acid having 8-30 carbon atoms, wherein (iii) and (i) are in a molar ratio of less than 2:1.
