Acute angle blade sharpening apparatus and method for sharpening blades
An acute angle blade sharpening apparatus and method for sharpening blades is configured to sharpen the edge and bevel of a blade at the specific acute angles between 21° and 23°, or about 22° and 23°. The apparatus has a base member forming multiple elongated depressions oriented at 22° and 23°. Multiple elongated sharpening members are fixedly mounted in the depressions. The blade is oriented perpendicular to the first side of the base member and drawn against the sharpening members, to engage at the desired 22° and 23° sharpening angles. A leveling instrument attaches to the blade to verify the blade is oriented at the desired angles. A leveling instrument cavity stores the leveling instrument and fastener. Springs retain the sharpening members in the cavity of the base member when not in use. A clamp fastens the base member to a mounting surface for enhanced stability.
METHOD OF PREPARING A MEAT SKINNER BLADE AND MEAT SKINNER BLADE PREPARED THEREBY
In one aspect, a method of preparing a meat skinner blade is provided which includes: abrading an upper edge of a steel strip to form an angularly-offset two-facet blade edge; and, honing the two-facet blade edge of the steel strip to impart a vertical taper along the two facets of the two-facet blade edge. Advantageously, the subject invention provides a blade for meat skinning, de-membraning, and derinding having, in use, a downwardly-turned edge with vertical tapering. This provides for a robust design capable for more cuts, and, thus, longer use life, than standard meat skinner blades.
Knife and tool sharpener
A sharpening tool having a handle having a variable speed switch and a support grip, a removable universal tool adapter rotatably coupled to the handle, a locking feature for locking a position of the removable universal tool adapter, and a motor for driving a tool coupled to the removable universal tool adapter.

CUTTER SHARPENER
The present utility model provides a cutter sharpener including a housing, a height adjusting mechanism and a cutter clamping mechanism mounted on the housing, and a grinding mechanism rotatably connected to the height adjusting mechanism. The housing includes a first mounting location, the height adjusting mechanism is movably connected to the first mounting location, the height adjusting mechanism includes a lifting body, and the lifting body can move up and down relative to the first mounting location. The cutter sharpener further includes a degree indicating mechanism fixedly connected to the lifting body.
POWERED SHARPENER WITH MANUAL HONE STAGE
Apparatus and method for sharpening a cutting tool, such as a kitchen knife. A sharpener has a base unit and one or manual sharpening modules. The base unit has a housing which encloses at least one flexible abrasive disc rotated by an electric motor. Each flexible abrasive disc is adjacent a powered sharpening stage to perform a primary sharpening operation upon the tool. Each manual sharpening module may be removably attachable to the base unit and has a manual sharpening stage that incorporates at least one sharpening element to perform a secondary sharpening operation upon the tool. Each manual sharpening module further has a powered stage guide surface to form a portion of a corresponding powered sharpening stage. When two powered sharpening stages are used, the manual sharpening module(s) can be individually placed between the powered sharpening stages to provide opposing powered stage guide surfaces for each.
